"Shinmai Maou no Testament" is more serious, like "High School DxD", while "Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu" is more about the comedy, just like "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!".

You'll find that the main characters of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei are very calm and thoughtful, which is a nice addition to the badassness of their characters. Both duos enter schools that trains the future generation of mages, who use a strange mix of magic and technology. Also, the science behind both animes is garbage.

In Fairy Tail, we follow Natsu and his everyday life as a guild member trying to make money with the guild's contracts. One minor thing that I like about those two is the possibility of a romantic relationship between guild members, something that doesn't appear quite as often in other animes.
