After seeing what Mamoru Oshii managed to do in the first Ghost in the Shell movie and Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer, I was anxious to see more of his work and Angel's Egg has always been at the top of my list. An anime known for its bizarre symbolism and gorgeous artwork, Angel's Egg appears as nothing less than a mysterious masterpiece.

For the most part, it delivers. Shots in the film constantly flit between a number of different art styles: the doll-like delicacy of the main female character, the harsh realism of the male characters and the buildings, lush landscapes, a curiously marbled sky. During ...

I was drawn in at the first episode. Asking so many questions in my mind about what its about, where is it based, ect.. After finally completing it i can say this anime is making my top 5 favorites list. The story was outstanding, tons of suspense, i really enjoyed the whole post apocolyptic story of earth and how they made a moon base called eden for humans to live on. The art was amazing, what i would expect from the creator of Akira, everything was perfectly drawn and the technologic theme was amazing! This is def a must watch anime you will be at ...

In the year of 2077, Robotic Technology has advanced greatly in the world where robots where used for simple every day tasks. Japan leading in the robotics industry decides to sever its ties with the U.N. so they can research and develop androids ( Human Robots ) which has been banned by U.N. policy. After severing its ties with the U.N., Japan sets relay towers around its country which scramble all communications and basically make the country invisible to spy sattelites. A very good anime in which the graphics and sound were outstanding, kind of reminds me of animes like resident evil degeneration and final ...

An epic tale of a young boy on the run for his life and a mysterious wandering samurai who coincidentially run into eachother at a abadoned temple. The rest of the story falls into place after thier meeting. Within the first 10 minutes of this anime you are engulfed in a small battle of thieves trying to rob a caravan whose guards are these mysterious samurai with red capes, giving you a taste of what kind of action and gore that is to come. Heads and limbs get cut off and arrows pierce necks and heads in a wonderful display of swordsmanship and archery. If ...

A calassic war time love story. Being seperated from a love one to go fight can be a depressing thing to deal with. The farther she traveled into space the longer it took for her loved one to recieve a text message, until it took almost 8 years for him to recieve a message. He also had to deal with the fact of not knowing if she is alive or dead and when he is going to get another message, with the obvious doubt in the back of his head that he wont ever recieve one. A very well plotted story and the animation was ...

Pale Cocoon (Anime) add
This anime was well composed. The art was simply amazing and is what made this anime great. It was dark and grungy, I could almost feel the cold wet feeling this anime gave off. Even though it was very short it was very enjoyable and i recommend it to everyone. Dont expect any mechas and explosions with big breasted school girls. Just a very good story with amazing art.
