~ Story ~
Yokohoama Kaidashi Kikou is a "slice of life" series. Like many of the genre, there really isn't much of a story to speak of. The series is about Alpha, a humanoid robot living in one of the coastal regions of Japan. Her owner had gone on a journey and left her there to tend a coffee shop (aptly named Cafe Alpha). It takes place in Earth's future, during a time when global warming has caused the polar ice caps to melt. Human society is on the decline and the pace of life has slowed to a crawl.
...
The oceans have risen, causing the world's coastal cities to lay underwater. What is left of humanity has moved to the higher regions where they live out somewhat primitive lives. Most of the roads are in a state of disrepair, but life goes on in a calm manner. Humanity's last achievement, so it seems, was the creation of human shaped robots (like Alpha). There have been many iterations of these robots, but Alpha seems to be one of the first (and only) of her kind. All the others we see are more advanced models (like Kokone, for example).
~ Art ~
Initially released in 1998, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou was two episodes. The image quality and animation was on par with other work at the time. Somehow, the whole series had an 80's feel. I think this may have had something to do with the size of Alpha's sunglasses.
~ Sound ~
The soundtrack for Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou was written and performed by GONTITI, a Japanese folk duo. They claim to make the "most comfortable music on earth." In this sense, I wholeheartedly agree. The soundtrack was not overwhelming and worked well with the imagery. In terms of dialog, the voice actors were perfect for their roles.
~ Overall ~
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is one of the most calming series I've ever seen and read. The artwork, music, and story work extremely well together to create a beautiful work of art. At first glance, most people will probably not enjoy this work since it obviously lacks any coherent story. Even watching the series to completion leaves the viewer feel unfulfilled. It doesn't leave much of an impression and may be quickly forgotten. However, a change in mindset may boost the way a person looks at this work.
I would recommend this series for those who want something calming to watch. The soundtrack stands alone as well, and makes extremely good background music. It also makes very good (if not horribly inappropriate) fragging music for Unreal Tournament. If you seek something that goes against the grain of the norm or a mood piece, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is for you.
If you're a fan of action, romance, harem, slapstick comedy, brain hurting, or lots of shinys, then I would recommend against watching this. Chances are, you'll be bored to death and end up falling asleep before the end of the opening sequence.

"Grave of the Fireflies" is a very popular movie, despite being an "oldie" but if you have not seen it, please, save some time to enjoy this masterpiece, it is simple stunning, it is one of the few shows to make me cry so much as it did, at the end (Which I will not spoil, it is up to you to see it with your own eyes).
Directed by Isao Takahata. Grave of the Fireflies is a masterpiece not just among anime but also among films
...
in general. The setting is during the final part of WWII and about two young children who lose their mother to a firebombing. It is a tale of loss during war, emotions during war, and the sorrow of war in general. There are so many rememberable scenes in the movie that it is hard to even mention one because I would have to mentioning them all. Seita and his sister Setsuko have such a great bond that makes the end of the movie even harder to watch and accept.
The art in the movie is well done. Every scene has effort put into it. The story is a based on Isao Takahata’s life experience during the war. The movie has a powerful anti-war message that is pretty straightforward. It shows how it affects all people on all sides of the war. Foreigners, like the Korean in the film, under privileged people like Seita’s family, and military men. Although it is a very sad movie I still watch it. I like to show it to my friends who like Japan or Anime. I would recommend this movie to anyone that loves films about war, specifically ones against it.

Kanon is one of Key's best work with its' broad and various character types, masterful storytelling, and how it challenges the characters to deal with the hardships of life; such as rejection, problems within family relationships, tragic and life threatening accidents, etc..., and how they overcome those obstacles. I wish Key had continued making stories centered on the Kanon characters in their own After Story...such as meeting Yuuichi's parents, Yuuichi and those he cares for experiencing life as adults, and the like.
Nayuki is my favorite girl
...
of the series because she is a total sweetheart. I equally love the primary heroine Ayu too, she's a cutie and quite quirky, and the friendship she and Nayuki share is adorable. Mai and Sayuri are characters I'm fond of too and what they share as friends is very endearing. Makoto is quite a vivacious character and her lively nature is entertaining to see, a shame what befalls her though later into her arc. With Shiori, she is a good character, but all I can see her in regards to a relationship with Yuuichi is like siblings. Nayuki, Mai, or Ayu are my top choices for Yuuichi's romantic prospects.
Im happy that this 2006 version cast Tomokazu Sugita as Yuuichi, he's an amazing seiyuu and Mariko Kouda's Nayuki was so moe. Akiko is my favorite Key mom, she has a lot of great qualities that I admire about her...even though she has that mysterious bad jam she makes...it's ingredients are one of the fun mysteries of anime. All in all, Kanon 2006 is an anime I highly recommend.

~ Story ~
No game no life begins with the something that is very common in anime, namely being dissatisfied with this world, and for some sort of reason being transported to another world. You might wonder why I give it a 8 when it already has been done many times before. The reason for this is that the concept is actually quite fun, a brother and a sister NEETs are the best in any games they play and see the normal world as a bad game, then at some point they are magically transported to another
...
world where everything is solved by games. Not very original as I've heard the story somewhere before in an anime which I can't even remember so unimpressive it was (and for some reason people turned into cats when they got hit???). The reason why I like this storyline so much is because of them actually never wanting to go back, this together with the some great storytelling makes it quite entertaining.
~ Art ~
This anime has a very strong animation, it is very colorfull with a lot of pink or beige colors, maybe sometimes even too much. For some people this might be a pluspunt, for me myself I'd rather see it a bit less colorfull as it kind of distracts me from the main point, but overall the animation of this anime is one of the better points.
~ Sound ~
I can't remember any songs or sounds from the anime after watching it so naturally it get's a low score in this one. I do have to say that I might be slightly biased in this since I have a very specific taste in music when it comes to songs and all other songs I just totally forget. The songs are very similar to other animes.
~ Character ~
Even though the characters have an annoying brother sister complex where they can't be apart too far, the characters are still the best part about the anime and I especially like how they take advantage of the rules to the point where they are actually abusing them, and have no ethical uneasy by doing it. They both seem a bit whimsical at times, but their devilish side is what makes them so great.
~ Overall ~
, I would recommend it for sure. It is ecchi like I said and it is set in a gaming world, but it's different than others I've seen which is refreshing. I loved it. It's smart, action packed, funny and definitely rewatchable.

~~ This review contain spoiler ~~
I think that the zombie reinvention in Tokyo Ghoul is, quite frankly, disturbing. I mean, wow, zombies with sentience... Great. Which makes the series interesting to watch actually because it will make you believe that all is lost for humankind etc. EXCEPT (spoiler alert) there are humans that can go neck and neck with these mostrosities. Shocking, right?
Now, all is well and good and until episode 10, I thought that I can rate this series 7.5 (or maybe a solid 8 at the highest), but
...
then that's where I realized that the pacing was off. No offense to the amount of effort put into the first 10 episodes, but episode 12 just has SO MUCH impact, that I've watched it nearly as many times as Shougo Makishima's death scene. In my honest opinion, producer should've stretched the ending out more and cut the Doves' screen time.
The other thing that made me like the series less is the fact that after all his griping and suffering, the protag got an epic power boost, again, in the bitter end. And I think that the importance of his being a hybrid is overshadowed by the fact that he was kidnapped... Wow. There should've been more substance to his character (and Hide's too) but there isn't much that can be done in 12 episodes.
For the plus points: powerful opening song by TK, who coincidentally sung Psycho Pass' op. Unravel's mood actually matches the mood of the entire series. (The ed is laid back, but still pretty memorable). So, without further ado, I rate this ANIME (without iiinfluece from the manga) a 7.

~ Story ~
Mononoke hime tell a story about Ashitaka, a prince of the Emishi people, he saves his village from an assault by an angry demon God, Nago. After killing the Boar God, Ashitaka discovers that the demon was under a curse and that he in-turn was cursed by coming into contact with the God. The curse will eventually kill him and in order to find a cure Ashitaka is forced to travel west to where Nago had originally come from, with a lump of metal as his only clue. During his travels, Ashitaka learns and becomes part of the great war between Irontown and
...
the forest spirits. Caught in in the middle of this raging war he learns that both sides fight for good reasons. The humans want to thrive and grow and the forest spirits want to survive.
~ Art ~
Mononoke hime artwork is simply stunning. All the characters' faces really suited their characteristics and personalities because all the characters had their own individual face shapes, eyes, noses, mouths, hair and bodies which appear almost realistic unlike other animes which have pretty much the same character but with different hair colour and stuff. I think that the most beautiful art was the scenery in which it showed the forest with all its vibrance and life which also made it very realistic and makes us appreciate the beauty of the natural environment where we can also share the love the Mononoke has for the forest. Overall, i really loved the artwork in Princess Mononoke because of its style, colours and the design.
~ Sound ~
The music was one of the best part of this movie, they really fitted well with the theme and the concept of the story. The music was really expressive and emotional and contributes a lot to the film because it makes the audience feel what the character is feeling and makes it possible for us to empathise with the character. I think that the music was very Japanese and classical and fitted perfectly with each of the scenes in the film.
Overall this movie is realy great, one of miyazaki best movie. I would recommend this film to anyone who is interested in animations, a good story or an emotional plot.

Tamako market was a pretty average slice of life series and not really an interesting one, I'll give credit that it's one of the few modern anime shows that isn't filled with tons of ecchi and can be watched by every age group with its' lighthearted quirks, but overall it was an underwhelming anime where the supporting characters don't have much screen-time and development and the ending was pretty weak. The talking bird was also rather annoying.
The only reason I watched this anime is because it's awesome
...
animation and cute character designs. This anime reminds me of Hyouka (the main character's personalities and appearance are very similar). The character design is the same as Hyouka because it's being made by Kyoto Animation but I don't mind that at all.
The music throughout the episodes are mostly really simple songs, that fit the situation. Except for in the coffeeshop, where the guy plays records and these always seem to help out the situation. The sounds and music are befitting for Tamako market
Overall Tamako Market is a light, easy-to-watch series.i recommen for you to watch it if you like to watch moeblob anime.

If you're wondering what Yuruyuri is about, the title really says it all. The girls go to school and do something "fun." The girls bring in some lesbian jokes in the premise.Outside of providing a silly, outrageous good time, that is. It's all deeply stupid and quite fun.
Yuru Yuri is pretty pointless and episodic. There's no chance to make a compelling arc. A club the purpose of which is to facilitate the doing of nothing.
The Characters of this show are simply
...
sketched, and are distinctively cliche. Akari is the nice girl type with a "not so main character-ish" presence, Yui is the smart, cool one, Chinatsu is similar to Akari but poses a dangerous threat of sadism, and Kyouko is the energetic and irresponsible one and so on. Much fun is similarly had with the three tsunderes in the student council, and the glass girl Chitose, who often takes off her glasses to nosebleed-fantasize about her classmates. There's so little variation on the usual character themes that whenever there's any crossover it gets hard to tell characters apart. It takes a particular kind of viewer to enjoy something like Chitose's fantasies, during which things are pretty normal until she takes those damned glasses off, but if you're that kind of viewer, you're unlikely to find a funnier series with better characters than this.Characters are quickly and simply sketched, and are distinctively cliche. Yuruyuri Character designs, objectively speaking, are standard to the point of plainness - the way they are used being far more interesting than their appearance. Backgrounds, particularly the Yui's apartment and the Amusement Club room, are well-detailed and fully sufficient to their purpose, but they're given to little scene time to be called impressive. There's fanservice to be sure and plenty of naughty, but not dirty, particularly involves Himawari's boobie gags and Chitose's delusional fantasies
Overall Yuruyuri is a cliche and pretty dumb show, but delivers good enough to make everyone laugh.

Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu is a collection of comedic shorts, stuff like character development and plot are not exist.Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu relies on the audience’s previous knowledge of the characters and presents fantasy scenarios that explore the extreme “what ifs” the original show could not possibly cover. The biggest strength of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu is the varying length of each episode. This allows the anime to quickly hit a joke and then stop before it gets old… most of the time. Also, unlike Lucky Star , there is actually a gag in each scene, which means
...
no more awkward moments of reflection when a scene seemingly cuts off without a punchline.due to its narrowed focus on comedy, I found it even funnier than the original anime.

~story~
In a world where humans live in a world of giant
man-eating monsters called Titans, humanity is on a
brink of extinction and is secluded between three
cocentric walls. Within those walls lives Eren Jaeger, a
young eager child wanting to know what's life like out
side of those walls, Mikasa Ackerman, the adopted
sister of Eren, and Armin Arlert, their childhood
friend. Eren wants to see the world by joining the
Survey/Recon Corps, soldiers that venture forth
...
outside the walls on recon missions. One day,
humanity received a cruel reminder. A giant Titan (I
know that's redundant) completely breeches the wall
that was keeping Eren and company safe causing an
immense invasion of the Titans. After the devastation
the 3 are left orphaned. After living for a while as
refugees, they decide that the only way is to join the
military and become a part of the Survey Corps to be
free from the Titans. The action is fast-paced and
balls-to-the-wall and there's plenty of it. If there's no
action there's some pretty intense drama. There are
also some light comedy there as well. The more you
watch, the thicker the plot becomes. I just don't
want to spoil what happens but it's pretty awesome
given the premise of the show.
~Art~
The characters were well drawn, and well proportioned. It is worth nothing that even secondary, and tertiary characters appeared well designed (as opposed to some anime’s where the character’s detail is a direct correlation with the size
of their role). The city was amazingly well drawn,
too. The backgrounds were rich, the monsters were
well done, and the animation was crisp. While I have
no complaints here, it occurs to me that decent
animation should be expected at this point. That, and
animation alone does not make a story. This category
is not weighted as heavily.
~sound~
Sound was rather amazing, yet again. Intro was good,
outro was good, catchy. Irony is thought, if intro was
about hope, about survival of humanity, anime itself
was rather depressing. So, I guess that evens both
out.
Background music was well done as well. Fighting
had fighting music. Depressing part had depressing
music, as usual. Its soundtrack what I would listen
again and again, as they were simply so epic.
~character~
The story is host to a broad cast of characters, many of
which are realistically portrayed, making them relatable
and go through equally relatable character development
as they attempt to survive in this beautiful, yet cruel
world. Main character Eren starts out as somewhat one-
dimensional, but soon goes through his own
developments, gaining credibility as the story
progresses. The story makes excellent use of its plot
elements, the universe it has crafted, the characters and
so on. As the mysteries of the Titans and the world are
unravelled, shocking revelations and plot-twists quickly
follow each other, yet all of them make sense, are
cleverly foreshadowed and drive the plot forward and
rarely, if ever, feel forced.
~overall~
It was good. I agree, but it has it flaws, and it is definitely is not the best of 2013. It didn't live up to its hype. I was somewhat disappointed because everyone was talking about how this anime makes you feel all types of emotions, and that this is the best of the decade, yet, when I watched it, I didn't feel all those emotions everyone else was feeling. It didn't leave an impact on me.
