I’m going to keep this one short, If you’ve ever seen a cute slice-of-life anime before you already know what to expect with this one…

Over the duration of the anime nothing really happens, girls working in a cafe make more friends over time… thats it really! There is a tiny bit of character development doesn’t really seem to be much of a plot line to this series at all. It is simply a light-hearted story of a group of girls living their daily lives and joking around and having some laughs along the way.

Oddly enough, I found myself enjoying this show more than I thought I would. Far from perfect, it still has it where it counts with its witty humor and “out there” characters.

According to fans of the manga, the anime really didn’t cover a lot of ground. More or less the majority of it was introducing the characters and developing them as they interact with each other in a case by case sort of way. The last, oh let’s say, third of the series is the first story arc.

Oddly enough, while it appears to be a typical show about mecha, it has much less to do with the mecha themselves than you would think. It actually focuses more on the characters and their interactions with each other. This is not necessarily a bad thing even if you were looking into this series for the mecha, because they do have some visually stunning battle scenes. Lagrange did a steller job keeping a good balance between the sci-fi mecha, high school life, and character drama.

The pacing is back and forth. A read more

At first I really didn’t know what to make of this series after watching the first episode. There seems to be some magical power within a giant rock that sits on the temple grounds that one of the characters lives at. Growing up they would gather together around the rock and make a wish, that they would become successful pop idols in the future. But it grants the wish only if all four sincerely wish for the same thing.

There’s really nothing overly spectacular about this series, but it is a fun drama read more

Jormungand has, to say the least, action. Lots and lots of action. If you like action movies like Rambo, Die Hard, just about any Jean Claude van Damme movie, then look no further. On a personal note, I do enjoy such films and was taken in quite quickly by this show.

For an arms dealer, you would think their attitude would be serious, evasive, short and to the point. Koko Hekmatyar seems anything but serious. Rather, she’s very calm and cheerful and has a demeanor that would put one more at read more

The whole concept of exchanging saliva is gross. I’ll say it. But to be fair, the story and the interactions of the other characters are good enough that most can bypass this. After a while, I noticed that I cringed less and less every time I had to see the two love birds put their drool in each other’s mouths.

At times the show dragged. There were a couple episodes that really seemed to do a whole lot of nothing. Overall, I’m glad that it only ran for 13 episodes. The read more

~ this review contain spoiler ~

The first few episodes of this show really lead into what should have been a really decent story. The premise was there, the characters were there, but the follow through was very much less than ideal.

It’s a bit of trouble to explain without throwing in a couple of spoilers, so if you plan on watching this series and don’t want spoilers, stop here. You’ll see for yourself what I’m talking about when I say the execution was terrible. For those that don’t care much about read more

Another (Anime) add (All reviews)
This show actually caught me by surprise. I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it, but needless to say, I was hooked after just two episodes. Who is this girl? Why is she so special? Why is this new transfer student the only one that seems to know she’s even there? A mystery indeed. The show does an amazing job leaving the audience to wonder what’s going to happen next. Each episode’s cliffhanger is gripping. They take things to a whole new level during the second half of the series.

The storyline of Ergo Proxy is pretty complex, and filled with mysteries that hook you and make you feel like watching it to the end so that all questions can be answered. Somehow I found that there is a parallel between the setting of Ergo Proxy and the Matrix. Both evolves around a world that seems to be a utopia but actually is controlled by something else. Both questions their worlds and talks about the existence of an "outside" world. Just like the Matrix, Ergo Proxy explores a lot on existence, and the meaning of read more

The story begin with two sister , Mei and Satsuki on a truck with their father , they are moving to their new home which is where the whole story revolves around. Their new home, their new place in the world. At first I didn't really understand the whole purpose of Totoro. I know the title of the film is based around him, but i didn't see much purpose to him being there. it was just basically a little magical element added in. And it suppose to show that someone is there for those girls. There read more
