Unfortunately, there's a high chance that I might not reply to your comments or messages because I don't have much time to be in here--I work full-time and more hours than the average.
Other important thing is that I like to keep my info private so don’t go asking me direct questions about myself.
I have no intention of harming the success of the series/creators and production companies as well to create any unstable atmosphere between the anime community for giving low/high scores.
I have respect for the fact that you have favorites, and I do tend to be a bit sarcastic on my comments, but I always try to be polite, and I expect the same from others.

That is, good morning miss!
I see that Alucard is your absolute favorite (a 33 year-old semitomboy that I know loves Hellsing) and I need to read his respective manga after I get through with Silent Möbius. That old manga and sequel from ten years ago. Can't wait to master jōyō kanji or general Japanese because I've been trying to get the whole story of that manga for 21 years.
The only manga that I completed so far in no particular order are Sorcerer Hunters, V-Tamers, Linebarrels of Iron, TriMax, etc.
I got a tomboyish friend your age that is a huge fan of EVA and Darker Than Black. She also loves hiking.
She told me that was thinking about watching Space Battleship Yamato and Geneshaft (I've known this OVA for 21 years) after we kind of discussed astronomy, outer space, exoplanets, etc.
Anyway milady! I got lots of jōyō kanji (I want to memorize all those 1,945 Chinese characters) and Silent Möbius left to cover.
1) Well, on this point I cannot judge fully, because I'm not a professional (or even apprentice) musician or musical director. But, I would say, even though I didn't like other movies by Miyazaki, he (or his stuff) never made music go in a wrong way. If you mean that there were not much of it - maybe, but comparing to what? The film was more meditative than other Miyazaki movies, adding music here and there would work mainly in a bad way there. And I don't remember any moments to make the viewer attention raised there...
2) Even manga is "Nausicaa-centered" all the way. Both manga and movie worked more on exposing human nature, rather then showing some characters, most of which were rather "known" (don't want to say typical, because they are not, but these are well known images to everyone. Miyazaki never made too outstanding characters, except Nausicaa herself). Nausicaa was there exactly like a leader (a messiah maybe, though, that is a role that they gave to her. But there definitely was something above human, that led her, so this word is usable) as you have said. So, nothing to be surprised of, that whole movie was solely about Nausicaa.
3) The two moments you mentioned seem to be a bit different in nature. First one is all the way the "adult" one: there was nothing artificial in her going mad for a moment, especially considering she was 15 years old. But, that was a life changing moment for her, as Mitou stopped her and she later realized the weakness of people, that was even in her. This didn't really change her attitude to killing (remember the end of the movie, when she was not too far from killing two men), but it changed her consciousness and the attitude to influence people. And now the second moment, a bit more childish (like with everything, Miyazaki made there too much moments with what may be called overforced drama): Nausicaa tried to stop Asbel, because he was to make the same mistake as she did, and because he wasn't that strong kind of person, as she was. And there was no way she could not be that self-confident, because the lives of all her people were after her.
As of final, I agree, it was messed. If you remember that scene, when she took Ohmu in front to bigger ones, you may see, that she was really to die. That was not the expression of her self-confidence, but rather what is closed to "Bushidō" way. She was to die anyway: if she didn't do what she did, the only thing possible for her would to move with rest of Pedjite people to unknown place where she would not cope with her being. The way she chose was the one to bring the very small hope. As for her revival, that was solely due to Miyazaki, there would not be that much fault to leave her dead in the movie. The only explanation for that was that the movie was originally for children and that in manga she was alive. He judged the final as 65/100, but we can't really say that the her revival has spoiled the whole plot and her development of character.
Note: Not to seem far-fetched in my explanation, I would say that these were the thoughts that came after first watch, and were formed into a word form after reading manga and Miyazaki's comments. I haven't read any reviews or comments on it, mainly because this movie is the one I have strongest position on. :D
Turning back, as of his other main heroines... Up to Howl's moving castle, those all were strong female leaders. San from Mononoke Hime and Chihiro from Sen to Chihiro got some impact and development to them, as far as I remember the movies, as for others, I don't really consider them that good to talk about, so would agree on them with you.
1) How did you evaluate the sound?
2) How did you evaluate that the movie failed to expose the characters?
3) More subjective: Why did you think that there is a little impact of Nausicaa? Of course, the movie is for children and teenagers first, but I may say that watched it first time only one and half year ago I found her among the best characters made?
