Yeah~ I gave this a 10 ^^ I haven't played the game so I don't know if this OVA does it justice or not, but I enjoyed it anyway.
Story
I've never seen anything quite like it. I will not go into what the story is about because it's in the summary up at the top, but it's very different from all those other 2-3 episode long OVAs out there. It is beautiful and different and is very well presented, even though there was only 2 episodes to work with. If it were to become a proper TV series then I'm sure it would be popular :3
Animation
Not
...
particularly outstanding. Like most other short OVAs it had rather beautiful art, but it wasn't that amazing. Some of the characters could have done with a bit more detail here and there to make them pretty much perfect.
Sound
The opening song is by Nana Mizuki, and I know this is slightly biased but that automatically made me give the sound a 8/10. My score was then pushed up to a 9/10 because the OP and ED are beautiful, and I know I say this in every review, but they fit so well with the series. They really did.
Character
Not enough character development for some of the characters. However, the main couple and Ai were filled out nicely and weren't boring standard 2D characters. They had a personality and were different from the other usual OVA characters. Nicely done development for those two, but not really for anyone else unfortunately. If there had been more episodes then I'm sure all the characters' personalities would have filled out more.
Enjoyment
I always skim-watch through short OVAs like these because I just know they're going to be a repeat of all the others and will be boring. This one, however, is a stand-alone decent OVA. It kept me interested the entire time and I didn't keep looking at how long it had left, thinking "just hurry up and end". I was really sad when it finished and I wanted more! Absolutely loved it ♥

OK, my second review for the day :> this time it's Getsumen To Heiki Miina.
I think this series is overlooked by many. It's actually pretty good and entertaining, and has the ability to keep your interest for the whole season because it is somewhat different to other series in the same genre as it.
And also, considering that it's a spin-off from a TV show, I think it did pretty well :>
Story
OK, we've all seen it before: teenaged girl is generally failing at life, but through some strange circumstances she aquires superpowers and turns her life right around. Well, this series has that too, but it's
...
not quite as dull and drawn out as in other series like it. Firstly, it is 11 episodes long, so there are no stupid and pointless filler episodes.
Basically, because Mina, the lead female, is a news reporter and isn't a complete cry-baby (think Sailor Moon lol), Getsumen's story is nicely new and fresh, but also staying similar to what we know. Also, the girls are bunnygirls XD
Art
Standard. Not much shading on the characters, the eyes are usually too small for the face, the backgrounds aren't really noticeable.... but the transformation sequences are top notch. All the Miinas that get a transformation have really nice ones with a lot of detail in them :> nice colours too, so we don't all get eye cancer ;3
Sound
The OP and ED aren't like most other songs used in magical girl series. I don't know how really, but they're a lot less... cutesy and j-pop, if you get what I mean :S they're really fantastic and fit in pretty well with the series, which quite a few series have failed to manage.
Character
Mina is kind of standard really. She is hard-working and often over-works herself for the sake of her job; this kind of character is commonly seen in shoujo anime so she doesn't stand out very much really. However, that kind of character is really needed for this kind of show, so I guess it can't be helped. Plus, she's loveable <3
None of the other characters really got any development though... the other Miinas, not including Ootsuki Miina, don't get any more screen time after their inital appearence. They might pop up like, twice, throughout the series for a couple of seconds, but apart from that the only time you'll see them again is right at the end of the final episode. That's all that disappointed me.
Enjoyment
I loved it. I patiently waited for months between each episode being subbed because I really liked the series; if it had been any other I would have given up and dropped it. You get a really lovely "feel-good" feeling when watching this, and that's just what I needed at the time ^^ I'll always accept a second season X3

Omg, this has got to be the worst anime I have ever had the misfortune to stubbornly watch all the way through .___.; I finished it when the last episode was subbed, but I've only just thought about writing a review. Also I'm tired today, so please bear with me guys ;3
Story
Story? HAH. There pretty much is no story. Kanokon's story is none existant. It's just about how the overly-horny-for-a-little-shouta-boy Chizuru trys to get Kouta, the boy, to have sex with her.
Right at the beginning there was certain potential involving the fight scenes and the concept of Chizuru being a fox deity, but nothing was
...
ever played out into anything deeper than "oh look, she has a tail every now and then." Seriously, the writers seemed to completely forget about the supposed main story line and just had fun writing this almost-hentai script. This series is as close to hentai as you'll ever get without watching hentai itself.
It's aimed for guys who get off on seeing chunky chicks like Chizuru take all her clothes off at any given oppotunity.
Animation
Nothing special here. The very few fight scenes that were shown were fairly average, Chizuru looked like she was covered in oil all the time because she was so damn shiny, and the characters' eyes were drawn funny. Not to my taste really, but then again it wasn't dreadful.
Sound
The only reason why I gave the series a 2 rather than a 1 overall was because of the music. It was absolutely beautiful, totally what I enjoy and it fitted rather well with the series as both songs were about love and physically wanting someone. Especially the ending song, sung by Sakakibara Yui. It was so upbeat in the chorus and really made me want to dance XD;
Character
What can I say about them that's positive? Nothing. They were boring, standard, flat, 2D, recycled and had no depth. They were there to show panties and get naked and nothing more. Boring as hell.
Nozomu made me laugh at the beginning, but then she got boring. She was only there to make Chizuru want to cling onto Kouta even more. And Kouta himself, he was such a drippy little thing. Even though he obviously didn't want to do those kinds of things with Chizuru he never actually tried to stop her because he was too much of a weakling. Seriously, he really pissed me off.
The only highlight was the twins, but they were barely shown. If they had been in it more, then my rating would have gone up to around a 4.
Enjoyment
I did not enjoy this series one bit. I only watched it right the way through to the end because I really wanted to say "hey look, I put up with it" and also because I hate dropping series. And I guess I'm stubborn too ^^; never again will I watch a series as dreadful and brainlessly ecchi as this.
Overall
Only watch it if you want some hardcore ecchi that is on the brink of hentai. Otherwise, miss it.
If you loved this series then I'm sorry that our views don't mix. But I really truly hated this pile of rubbish. :)
Yeah~ hate the review if you want. But deep down, you know I'm only telling the truth ;3

I finished Lemon Angel Project just yesterday and I noticed that it didn't have a review yet, so I thought I'd do the honours <3
STORY
Lemon Angel Project is set in the year 2017, and is about Tomo Minaguchi, a girl who's close friend and senpai Yui recently died due to "unknown causes". While she was still alive, Yui told Tomo that she felt happy and full of life when Tomo sang, and she was also the creator of the popular all-girl group called the "Lemon Angel Project", who mysteriously vanished shortly before Yui's death.
A year and a half later, Tomo, along with other girls, tries
...
out to become a member of the new and revived Lemon Angel Project.
Basically, it sounds dull, simple and recycled, right? Haha. That is so wrong. Lemon Angel Project is far from mindless and it actually covers a lot of things rarely seen in shoujo anime, such as bullying people from other countries.
ART
The art was beautiful! I didn't notice the backgrounds very much, but the people were pretty much always drawn beautifully. Especially Erika; her hair was done beautifully. I think it deserved a 9/10. Nothing to complain about ;3
SOUND
Heck, I loved the OP song, Angel Addict. It fitted the series just perfectly and was one of those songs that made me just want to stand up and dance, and that doesn't happen all that often ;3 there was a great number of insert songs and songs used in the auditions, and each of them was beautiful and fitted what was going on perfectly. 10/10!
CHARACTER
I thought that the characters were going to be simple and standard, because I shamefully based my initial thoughts on this series on Kirarin Revolution. Oh how wrong I was. One or two characters are standard and recycled, such as Fuyumi, but others stood out so well. The one who was the most unique was Erika Campbell. I won't describe her here since I think you need to watch the series rather than read this to fully understand how she is different.
ENJOYMENT
Let me just say, this is the ONLY series that has kept me up watching until gone midnight. I marathoned the first 7 episodes because it was just so darn addicting; I wanted to see more and more!
I don't like idol series, or series about girls trying to become famous singers. But this one was so different, I can't understand why it's rated so lowly here on MAL ;3; I enjoyed pretty much every minute of Lemon Angel Project, and I'd gladly watch it all over again.
OVERALL
Overall, Lemon Angel Project was fantastic. It had lots of things in it that I really wouldn't have expected, and it was pleasantly surprising in that sense. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a all-female main cast <3

Tsuki wa Higashi ni Hi wa Nishi ni - Operation Sanctuary, or otherwise known as Hani Hani, is another one of those series that is better than it seems to be and has recieved very little love, and that's why I'm writing a review on it ^w^
Story
Hani Hani is about a high schooler called Naoki who lives a normal life with his cousin Matsuri and childhood friend Honami. One day a girl called Mikoto appears before him with big white wings and falls on him, and in an instant his life changes, mainly for the better.
Basically, the story starts out a a typical slice of
...
life and school anime with each episode lasting 12 minutes, and if it had continued that way then I think that the story would have deserved a 4/10. However, in the last few episodes the real story comes out and makes everything a heck of a lot more interesting. Had this happened a bit earlier, then I believe that the series would have been far more successful.
Art
The art of this series isn't too bad, considering it was made 4 years ago. All of the characters' faces look a little round and fat at some points, but on a plus side the girls' hair is always drawn with great detail and beauty. The backgrounds are beautiful and often brightly coloured to fit in with the genre of the series too. Overall = nothing to complain about ^^
Sound
The sound.... well, the opening has a very shoujo feel to it and fails to reach a climax in the chorus, despite the build up to it. However, it is a light hearted song which matches the first arc of the series, so I can't complain about it much ^^; the ending theme was standard and I couldn't listen to it the whole way through because it bored me. The background music was hardly noticed, which can either be a good or a bad point.
Character
Yes, the characters were cute, but my god they were so standard! They had no depth at all and were absolutely not unique. For example, Honami is Naoki's childhood friend but is in love with him: sound familiar? That's because it's overused, and Honami does all the things you would expect her to do like wait for Naoki even though everyone else says he's not coming and other stuff. It bored me, to be honest. The characters were given a base personality and nothing was developed from that. That's why I gave it a 5/10.
Enjoyment
I enjoyed this anime for the same reasons as I did in the last series I reviewed, although this time it's the characters that bored me rather than the storyline. Basically, I knew that I could just sit and relax while watching this series after a hard day without having to concentrate too much. However, I would have liked to see more development in the storyline as it was actually good at the end and looked very promising. I think this series should be either re-made by a different company, or should have a second series.
Overall
Overall I gave Hani Hani a 7/10 simply because I enjoyed watching it. Yes, the characters are a bit boring, but for a 13 episode long series with only 12 minutes to an episode, I think it could have been a lot worse, and thankfully it wasn't.
I recommend Hani Hani to all of those people who don't want to watch a serious anime and just want to watch something short.

Kirarin Revolution is about a young girl called Kirari who becomes an idol because she wants to follow her crush, Seiji. However, as the story progresses, she wants to be an idol for more than that reason.
Story:
I gave the story a 4 because it doesn't develop much and far too many of the episodes are fillers. I can understand that the writers would find it hard to keep up a decent storyline for over 100 episodes, but still.. in each episode an event happens that would usually take a quarter of an episode in most other series, hence making the series feel very dragged out.
It
...
is aimed for younger girls who want to be an idol like Kirari, and that is probably why the lack of a decent story annoys me.
Art:
The art is fair enough. It isn't bad, but it isn't outstanding either. Kirari always manages to look pretty and cute, but that's as far as it goes. All the other characters and backgrounds look fairly plain in comparison to Kirari.
Sound:
The music is catchy, up-beat and cute, just how it's meant to be. The first opening theme and the second ending theme are delightful to listen to and have very cute lyrics; I even have the second ending on my ipod ^^. The background music is a little repetitive, but not so much that it bothers the viewer.
Character:
Aside from Kirari, none of the characters stand out as they are all pretty standard - Seiji is dense and naive, Hiroto is a tsundere, Erina is a spoilt brat and similar to Luna from Seto no Hanayome, and so on. Also, none have had any development yet, which pushes my score down. Everyone seems to just be there to push the story along.
Enjoyment:
Yes, even though I've just been complaining about the series, I gave this section a 8/10, simply because I always know I can relax when watching this series without becoming bored stiff. It's a lovely way to relax after having a hard day, and the language is quite easy so I can paint my nails without reading the subtitles sometimes ^^; haha.
Overall:
Overall, I thought that Kirarin Revolution deserved a 7/10. OK, it's not for everyone, but if you're like me and just want to find a nice and easy-going series about a cute idol, then I recommend it ^^

BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution is one of the those fantastic OVA series that is severely overlooked by the vast amount of people who watch anime. It has wonderful art, a decent storyline, and good characters.
STORY:
The series is about a man, Tooru, who has lost everything (won't spoil ;p) and joins up with a kind of team, or company, called FLAK. The series is set in a would-be Japan, where the "wired world" is part of everyday life. People are able to literally plug themselves into certain computers and spend time in this new cyber world.
It is quite a difficult concept for the writers of
...
this OVA to get across well in such a small amount of time, but they do it brilliantly.
ART:
Nothing to complain about here: the characters are drawn very well, the backgrounds are fantastic, and the Mecha and Wired World, which are usually done by CG, are fantastic.
SOUND:
The music was absolutely incredible. KOTOKO sings the opening theme and the lyrics fit so well with the series, and Mami Kawada sings the ending, which is beautiful but sad at the same time. Luckily for me, these two are actually my favourite singers.
CHARACTER:
The characters in the OVA could have done with a lot more development, excluding Tooru, but since the series was so short character development was kind of out of the question. However, each character is still able to be unique.
ENJOYMENT:
Except for the events of episode 2, I really enjoyed watching this series, as it was such an experience to watch. For an OVA, it went far deeper than I would have imagined and OVA could.
OVERALL:
I was so close to giving BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution a 10/10, but episode 2 really put me off - I thought it was unneeded. However, I reccommend this to everybody ^^

Although Sky Girls is a Mecha series, the mecha doesn't take over the story line and make it over the top, which I found pleasant, and it lets the story go into more in-depth emotional stuff.
The main characters, Otoha, Karen, Eika and Elize, are all typical characters found in most every shoujo show at the beginning, but as the story is able to develop more their characters fill out and don't become standard anymore - especially Eika. Also, the three older girls get some kind of love interest, however incredibly subtle it may be, which is rare in anime as usually only the main leading
...
character has a love interest.
