Ah, Mekakucity Actors (or Kagerou Project). I will try my best not to spoil anything.
To be honest, it took me multiple tries to actually get past the first couple minutes of the first episode. From that I saw a cliche shut-in talking to his computer bug. But then I actually kept watching.
I struggled through the first five episodes. I found the characters unoriginal and boring. But then a certain side-story-flashback-thing occupied episode six and seven. I was like, "Oh, it's that anime!" And then episode eight happened. At first I was so, and I mean SOOOOOO, confused. But then I thought about it a bit,
...
and it wasn't that confusing anymore.
Story: 9
The story gets a 9 because it was original-er than I expected, and I didn't have low expectations. The reason it didn't get a 10 is because it was so rushed and confusing.
Art: 9
The art also deserves a 10, but the reason it didn't get it was because it's kind of a particular art style. It's like, you like it or you hate it.
Sound: 10
The music was awesome. The voice actors were impressive. (Marry's scream at the end!)
Character: 10
While in the beginning the characters seemed stereotypical and boring, by the last episode, I was impressed with the amount of development each one's personality had.
Overall, I did really enjoy this anime.

So, Guilty Crown.
I like this anime probably more than I should. It really isn't that good. Sure, the sound and art are great, but its dragged down by its egotistical storyline and poorly-explained characters. I get what the studio was trying to do with the story, I think. And I understand the kind of characters they were trying to convey, but Shu ended up as an easily-manipulated ass and Inori, to me at least, was nothing more than a pretty idiot. The action scenes were terribly initiated. The story was everywhere. The characters were trying to do too much as was the genre. Guilty Crown's
...
best feature was probably its randomly placed Supercell songs.
There were too many characters, the story tried to be too many things, and the genre was all over the place.
But if you still want to watch it even after reading all this, then at least take my advice into consideration: Pay attention, write down all the characters names (trust me, the minor beginning characters will come back), don't trust anything Gai or Yahiro says, and lastly, don't watch the last episode.

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!
When I decided to watch this (three days ago), I had not seen a psychological anime in a very long time. I think the last time I saw one was before I'd even heard of MyAnimeList. The first ten episodes of the anime were fantastic. The characters were well-developed, the art and voice acting were great, the story was original, but then Kaneki got kidnapped. By this time, I had thought this anime wasn't that serious in its psychological-ness. Sure there are some parts where some people might find it mindblowingly psychological, but I didn't.
So Kaneki gets taken, I freak out when Banjou
...
and the other two are saying they'll get him out. I freak out more when Touka lets Tsukiyama help get him back and then it goes back to Kaneki and Rize and his hair is white and I'm like, "So the guy in the opening was Kaneki". I like died when he got out because he was in a totally different mindset and stuff. Don't get me wrong, I understand why, and I think it makes a lot more sense than a ton of other shows I've seen, but I just absolutely hated the ending. It made me dislike Rize more and it changed how I felt about Kaneki.
And the worst part of the ending was that it left me feeling really incomplete. I plan to watch the second season, but at this point I have no idea what happened to Touka, Hinami, the manager and all the others. Not to mention that I'm reluctant to watch it because the Kaneki in the last few minutes of episode 12 reminded me too much of Accelerator from A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S and Toaru Majutsu no Index).
But overall, Tokyo Ghoul was a great anime, and a horribly good way to rethink how I felt about psychological anime.
