I'm behind a few chapters on Re: and keep meaning to catch up. I'm behind on the anime too, only having seen the first episode. Seemed interesting but not sure where it's gonna go now that it's following a different path from the manga. Just haven't been in the watching mood lately so I'm behind on pretty much all my ongoing stuff.
I think the nature of watching anything is that with more exposure you start to notice things you don't like as much. I'm not surprised. I feel the same way about music and sports, for example.
I know a few people in real life, but they all live far away from me. My close friends in HS all used to try and get me to watch, but, like we've discussed, I felt that it wasn't up to my par. My cousins live in Texas and I live in Canada, so we only Skype once in a while. We try to watch though when we can. Right now we're watching Chihayafuru together. It is very good. I'd strongly recommend it, but it is aimed at a female audience I think.
I think the same thing. The industry is pretty stale right now and I really enjoyed sitcoms and that genre is dying or so it feels like. Same with movies, as I think they get worse annually.
I watched like the typical childhood anime, then two summers ago Ouran Koukou Host Club was my first. Over the course of August to January, I watched Shingeki no Kyojin and Neon Genesis Evangelion (the old series) with my cousin's best friend on Skype. In February, I met a cute guy in class and we hit it off really well. We were in two different faculties, so, despite all the things we shared in common, we didn't always have stuff to talk about apart from work and when I found out he watched anime, I wanted to too. That's how I got started. I watched Clannad and Zetsuen no Tempest next, the latter being his suggestion. And that's how this story started. ^^

How bout them half year later replies though?
Can't see manga compatibility but you like Tokyo Ghoul so that's gotta be high too right? ^^

We do share quite a few shows in common. Shingeki no Kyojin and Sword Art Online were two of the first shows I watched. ^^
