No Game No Life is yet another anime about games, but this one is different, and in a lot of good ways, the world created is a charming yet surprisingly deep land of politics and interesting characters all around.

Instead of writing an essay about this i'm going to create a list of Positives and Negatives, I know when you're just looking to see if an anime is worth watching you usually don't want to read all that much.

Positives

- The story always seems to be moving forwards and never seems to slow down always introducing new and interesting characters to meet.
- The art style is beautiful, ... the world in general is extremely bright and colourful and everything is outline with more of a red tone than most anime's, this helps to differentiate its style from the crowd and really makes it a pleasure to view.
- The characters are all interesting and I always found myself wanting to learn more about them and their origins.
- The relationship between Sora and Shiro is great.

Negatives
- The relationship between Sora and Shiro might turn off some viewers.
- The 'Blank Never Loses' dynamic is interesting in some areas but it does get rid of some of the tension from certain battles.
- The series ends on an extreme cliffhanger
- Sound was nothing special.


I would recommend No Game Life to most people if only because it is extremely short at this stage, it won't take you long to power through the 12 episodes, however if you don't like cliffhangers you should definitely hold off on watching No Game No Life.

Little Witch Academia is a standout anime, even though so far there is only one part and it is about 25 minutes long at this stage I would definitely consider this a masterpiece.

Positives

- A short story which leaves room for expansion yet ties up the major loose ends and sticks to a three act structure incredibly well.
- The characters are all very different from each other, ... none are stereotypical archetypes and each are likeable in their own way.
- The soundtrack is not something I noticed too much, but it was enough to create the correct atmosphere for the scenario's.
- The animation, I feel like this really needs to be stressed, by god the animation is amazing, everything is so smooth I think this might be the smoothest and most consistent animation i've ever seen.

Negatives
- Hard to think of many.
- The soundtrack wasn't extremely memorable, hardly much of a negative.


Like I said, it's very difficult for me personally to find faults in Little Witch Academia, I would recommend this to almost anyone and am certainly looking forward to the future of this project.

I bet you've already heard of Kill La Kill, whether it's positives from the fanbase raving about the show or negatives from people who dislike what style it is, neither of them are inherently wrong.

- The soundtrack is godlike, every song seems to fit their purpose perfectly and is composed brilliantly.
- When the art is good, it's very good, this makes the fight scenes incredibly fun ... to watch.
- The lightning fast pace that the show credits itself on is certainly there and helps to hold the audiences attention throughout almost the entire show.
- After the middle arc the rest of the show has a superb pace.
- A lot of the jokes hit the mark and help to break up the serious tone.

Negatives

- In some places the art and animation is of poor quality, if you need an entire anime to be well drawn and animated this could put you off.
- The reasoning for the story starts off very shakily, if you get past this then the rest of the plot is quite enjoyable.
- The middle arc seems very unnecessary and drawn out, not much happens.

All in all an extremely enjoyable show that I could see myself watching again and again, the fanservice and other ridiculous plot elements means it probably isn't for everyone but if you think it might be for you definitely check it out.
