**SPOILERS** (Unless you don't mind because of how bad it is)
So... where to start off?
Well this was just downright "Wtf is this bullshittery?". Quantum space-time teleportation because of brain-wave overlapping due to Geass interference? This was a downright rushed finale as obviously stated by the BS of "quantum space-time teleportation to nowhere" and "going back in time a few seconds to save everyone you love". The last time I saw this kind of BS was from the game Resistance 3. I'm sorry, but the original Code Geass didn't pull this kind of BS out of their asses last time I checked. And it was a
...
typical happy-lala ending again, with everyone happy going home arm-in-arm, hugging and kissing each other goodbye (even their enemies), and so much as watching the sunset together after their intensive battle of trying to earnestly kill each other. What is this, Fairy Tail? At least Fairy Tail showed how they got to get along and in a proper way.
I was expecting a darker ending as with the death flag from Akito telling them they should all be able to go to Japan one day ALIVE. But, this episode simply did a backflip on that. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. At least I got to enjoy the art and sound once more. The director probably chose to due a full-on hard stop to the story saying that this is it. And despite all the BS involved, it was very easy to understand the characters feelings... or maybe this is a bad thing. However, because I enjoyed it, I'll be generous about it.

**WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS**
*ALSO, PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY EXCEPT FOR THE PARTS THAT STATE I DO MEAN TO BE SERIOUS*
I don't know how to express it, but this anime was amazing!!! A great plot that unveiled at the end of the show, the typical tsundere/yandere/ecchi involved as with the first Hidan no Aria, except with one big twist. It's about a GIRL this time!!! Hooray! Now onto the critiques!
Story - 9
As aforementioned, this story has a great "plot" which was unveiled towards the end of the anime, as per typical 1-seasons. And then you have that amazing random "final boss" in the last episode, and
...
a duet between our favorite two characters: the pair of A's. Holy crap did I watch something like this before or what??
Art - 9
In all seriousness, I actually liked the art here; it seemed old-fashioned and I like reminiscing about the past art like Clannad, Detective Conan, FMA, and so on.
Sound - 9
Again, in all seriousness, I'd have to say that the sound wasn't bad at all. If I hardly noticed it, then I think it's good, because I like it subtle. And the opening... why is such a good opening used for this anime?
Character - 10
OHH YES. SHINO-CHAN!! I thought she was Shirayuki from Hidan no Aria... oh wait she IS, in a way; same yandere archetype that has an extreme desire to be with our lovely protagonist. And then the competition between her and Urara and their failed plan when they first worked together... beautiful. Also, the great "character development" for our protagonist and her sister... what kind of people are brought up happy and sane knowing how to kill again? Only in anime!
Enjoyment - 9
Seriously, I'd have to say that... parts of the show made me cringe to hell and back, just like with the first season. But it was still funny as hell so I actually liked it.
Overall - 9
In all seriousness, and again, the cringe-worthy parts made me like the anime. I also have to note that this season is very similar to the first and it seems purposeful. Here's the 2 differences between them: 1st season is a normal harem, this season is a YURI harem. Just an fyi, this is a vital fact to it, and I can't help but say so. So if you like horrible plot, horrible character development, a YURI harem, and a barrage of cringe-worthy moments, then this is the right anime for you!

I'd have to say that when I first saw my friend watching this anime, in one of the scenes, it caught my eye. So what did I do? Obviously watch it.
Story: This is not your typical straight-down-the-line storytelling anime you'll see. You're not supposed to understand anything / what's going on, except for what's told in the first episode. It's literally laid out for you in the first moments of the anime, and that's all you get to glimpse for what's going to happen, which is really nice. I like being in the dark sometimes, and this was a relief from trying to watch The
...
Irregular at Magic HS, which I felt compelled you to already fully understand the premise and plot.
Art: It seems cheesy and old, but I like the style, and the quality went into it. It utilizes the elements of a typical shounen anime with some comedy mixed in to great potential. Especially the ED animation; wacky and fun!
Sound: I'd have to say what with the big explosions to subtle, iconic whistling in the series are well done. Its switching between being loud and being subtle is very well done. I had to repeat that didn't I?
Character: Don't bother trying to remember all of their abilities, except that they're super humans who can pull ONLY CERTAIN MOVES out of their asses, which I find pretty hilarious and exciting most of the time. Almost a bit like Naruto when it comes to the moves, except there's no building up for their skills and whatnot, just straight up action.
Enjoyment/Overall: It's a great anime that will throw you off your rocker several times. I'm not kidding.

(**SPOILERS**)
**Please note that this is simply a current review status as of episode 4, since on MAL they split up the episodes into 5 different sites. And yes, I know I don't have any reviews on the previous 3 but this is simply done for the sake of the final**
Alright, fourth episode of a 5-part OVA series in the Code Geass: R1.5! Onto the criticisms.
This episode seemed... odd. Why in hell did you need to send your attack squad in a rocket? What with the advanced technology they had, they could've analyzed the blimp for any defensive AA and just simply fly them in
...
instead of rocketing them in.
Why did the three (Ryou, Yukiya, and Ayano) try and stop Akito from killing Ashley? Were they feeling sad for Akito because he had already experienced the death of his entire family, save for his brother? They didn't want him to go insane? He's only insane at times due to the effects of his brother's Geass so I guess this is... plausible.
The amount of times I heard the music played over and over... is it really that limited? Then again, sometimes it seems to fit alright, and it's not like the old Code Geass series didn't reuse their soundtracks repeatedly.
Other than those three outstanding errors, I can't really find much wrong with the story, art, sound, and characters. Story progression seems fine so far, the art is... the same as ever, the sound is nice especially with the fights and gun sounds, and the characters... still seem alright.

{Warning: contains some spoilers}
"What the hell is going in this episode" you say? Well it's definitely a filler... but at least it serves its purpose in giving the characters more development. We get to see how they interact and how they've changed from past episodes. And it's not entirely a filler, no, that'd be a waste of a one-hour episode series. This episode continues the mystery of Code Geass; unlike the first, this is about the mysteriousness of Geass and not about the changing of the world by our characters. What is Geass? Who are they that wield the power to take and
...
give to the humans of this world? This is what I like best about Boukoku no Akito.
Story: 9
The story continues with the refreshment of our wZERO squad, who are taking a little, well-deserved break from fighting behind enemy lines. Though their break is short-lived, at least we got to see the characters in happy mode. But it also continues, as I like to say again, the mysteriousness of Geass. What is Leila's Geass power? How and what did General Smilas do to upset the Order? Why did Shin murder his "family"? And, the biggest question of all, how did Shin Shaing obtain his power?
Art: 10
Art is the same as ever by CLAMP, but everything looks much smoother than the original, which I must admire because this is 2015 after all.
Sound/Music: 9
The sounds are amazing, but the music is kind of questionable. The jazz-like music playing during the fights sounds hilarious but it somehow resonates with the chaotic speed at which the battles progress. I get hyped up from watching the battles as they are, by far, the best 3D CG animated battles I've seen in anime so far. However, there is none of that; instead we get music that fits these nomadic people (I forgot the name for them xP)
Characters: 8
Akito - still a psychopath hell-bent on killing and suicide, but at least he is changing little by little with Leila's influence. Leila - the innocent commander and, lo and behold, rich-girl-who-can't-do-chores-for-shit. The trio of juveniles - actually quite nice kids after they've opened up, after realizing that there's someone else with a more twisted history than them who is facing it alone, though it's slightly unrealistic how they did a near-180 after the 2nd episode. At least we got to see them as who they are when they're having fun (FOR ONCE).
Enjoyment: 10
I'd have to say that this was an enjoyable episode; it's a good break from the fast-paced mecha action the first 2 episodes had. Though there is a little bit of action, it's toned down far enough to level with the calmness of the episode. Lelouch's rousing the European people into rioting was very nicely done; it seemed realistic enough to be applicable. There's none of the loud jazz-like action music in this episode.
Overall: 9
Some minor flaws to make it the perfect episode, but then again, perfection is hard to achieve. Also, you CAN'T compare this to the original Code Geass because Boukoku no Akito takes a completely different approach to the series; instead of the typical boy-meets-girl-and-gains-superpowers, its about a boy-trying-to-reconcile-with-his-past, more similar to Ranpo Kitan. And I'd like to say that Ranpo Kitan pales when compared to this OAV series (Who the hell was the main character in that show again, Kobayashi or Akechi?). This series has been great so far.

Clannad is one of those few fantasy stories that you just want to live in because all the characters are kind to each other (yes even between Kyou and Sunohara). Everyone is nice and kind, loving and caring; peaceful... it's the ideal world. But even in this world, it's still slightly twisted in a rather sorrowful way. The death of a true love whose time spent with was too short, and soon after the death of the only child also whose time spent with too short. And then the final death that eliminates all traces of the family: you. If you had a second chance
...
in which both lived, would you take it? Would you believe that reality? Such is the question posed in this remarkable drama.
Story - 8
This story is one that would bring families closer together, but best watched individually. A child who has yet to understand the meaning of "love" will come to understand it when he/she immerses him/herself in this story of family and friendship. There are times when you can or cannot take things for yourself, and times when you must give back to the world. Humans help shape the society that you live in, and when you come to love the world you are living as of right now, then how could you hate the people around you? You grew up with a shitty father, but at least he doesn't inflict more damage or pain unto you than he already has. This story makes you appreciate everything more, and convinces you to truly treasure your family and friends, for they are the ones who have made you happy and kept your life joyful.
Art - 8
I have to admit it but... THE FISH EYES ARE REAL. Though it does add to the cuteness of the characters and such, IT'S STILL KINDA CREEPY AT THE SAME TIME. Without the human face and school uniforms, I'd bet they would all be weird freaks of some sort.
Sound - 10
The music fits everything so perfectly. My parents thought Kotomi's theme was Parisian (they grew up under French influence) and I thought so too. All the themes and songs certainly fit the moods and settings throughout the story. They also all very representative of the characters, like Nagisa. It was intended for the character of the same name and the music fit her profile so well because it mixes her childhood love of the Dango Daikazoku and who she is currently in the story.
Character - 9
The characters seemed too "set up", as in it seems that "God" or whatever created an ideal world for Tomoya to choose whichever girl to fall in love with, and he'll create that same bond of love with Nagisa whichever path he chooses. Unlike Angel Beats, where Otonashi eventually falls in love with Kanade after just trying to simply befriend her, Tomoya has an easy love life. It almost seemed that no matter what mistakes he made, they will eventually fall for him (I played the VN, it's hard NOT to hit (bad end)). However, the "set up" fit perfectly for a bright and beautiful fantasy story, which I think is difficult to do.
Enjoyment - 10
Even though it made me bawl like a baby a few times, I still loved it. I cried because I was that immersed into the story.
Overall - 9
Well this is self-explanatory because of what's written above so... YEAH! Go ahead and watch this anime if you love fantasy drama and/or comedy but if you're an action-lover, don't expect too much out of it.

(What I've written here spoils some of the themes for this story, so I suggest you watch the anime for yourself before reading this. Furthermore, I tend to use the word "story" over "anime" or "manga" because I'd like to not be criticized by manga/anime fans who argue over "that". So I just call it "story".)
Story - 10
It seems to be developed by the characters and not the plot itself. The characters' development throughout the story contribute to the plot. This story is all about the plot, which sounds weird but it's true. In this story, EVERYONE deserves to die, either for the blood that
...
they have spilled or for standing idly by and letting the bloodletting continue. But, is that such the case? As is questioned in the end of the story.
I like how the author incorporates religion into the story. What is sin? Does it exist? Is it so horrible to commit a heinous crime such as the taking of a person's life? Is it murder if there was no intent? These questions are as to why I choose not to believe. But some people do because of their belief in the existence of God. Additionally, does it apply to human-like creatures?
Sound - 10
Both English voice actors and Japanese seiyū fit the settings, timings, and reactions of the characters really well, instead of like in SAO where the English voice actors lack all emotion and motivation which irritates me to hell. Also, the music really fits the overall story, if you've listened to the track "Shi-ki". The music is the best that I've known, though it doesn't always fit certain settings in the story, unlike Clannad. But most of the time, it really sends a chill down your spine sometimes, which I think is exciting (not in a happy way). It will either make you want to turn away and not look or look at what will happen next.
Character - 10
Reality. It's a strange yet sound description of the world we live in. A virus that can destroy our immune system, a single corrupt cell that can kill one whole human, weapons of mass destruction. Humans once believed none of this to be possible and were fantasies. Now that they are real, we accept all possibilities and delve into them with what we call fringe science. The American Sci-fi TV series Fringe greatly plays on the facts of such possibilities. All the characters seemed "real". Masao is one hell of an annoying baka, but there are people like him in real life. He's the first type of character I've "seen" out of all the characters I've known. His appearance in the story drastically changed my perception of it, as I thought that this would be a typical horror story when I began watching. I can relate to Natsuno as he is logical, but harbors strong feelings as well. When in fear, you will either always stay in fear or change it into hate. Kaori was always scared to take action, but eventually snapped. People have their limits, and this is ALWAYS shown in Shi-ki. ALL of the characters are realistic.
Art - 8
The art doesn't really throw me off but sometimes the realism of it is bent so as to fit the "supernatural"ness of the story. Probably reading too much into it now, but almost all of the art is representative, down to the opening animations of the anime. Don't pay attention to how weird the it is, and if you're one of those people who would rate this anime lowly JUST BECAUSE of that, THEN GROW UP. I'm serious, I once thought the anime was too weird and stupid just because of that, along with the blood involved. Just accept it.
Enjoyment - 10
As for "enjoying" this story, I can hardly explain it in such words. This moreover opened my foolish, childish mind; it was enlightening. Shi-ki is, what I consider, a polar opposite of Clannad. Shi-ki portrays the dark side of humanity; the inhumanity against humanity and the similarity between humans and beasts. Clannad however portrays the goodwill of mankind amongst itself; a town that nurtures its children and keeps it safe and parents shaping their dreams into their children's dreams. If you want to watch such touching stories, Shi-ki is a must. Clannad, Shi-ki, Air, Kanon, Death Note, Little Busters, and Psycho-Pass are the most emotionally touching stories I know.
Overall - 10
This is my perspective of the story, so shut up and accept it. If you're a shounen manga/anime type, don't try and watch this. If you're one of those who can handle this, then by all means see for yourself. I find this to be one of the few anime I could really re-watch, and once-in-a-while things are rare finds for me, like boba. When I read a story, I try to take in the author's perception of what he is writing. Sometimes a portion of what he writes is an accident and it came out pretty well so he stuck with it, as shown in the OVAs of the anime. They were unnecessary parts to his story, but I think he just thought "Why the hell not?" and put it as a part of the story. They best portrayed his other points about rationality and emotions. In summary, the author points out every contrasting point about humanity to what I think is the best of his ability.
