The blazing hot season ended with a big bang that would instill it to be one of the good ones. With this, big expectations were..... well.... "expected" (well duh) on the second season, and with it, a big hurdle of a cliff hanger to connect. Running only 1 cour, this season is also tightening up in time so..... a big skip from the original series was also imminent. And just as predicted, it did skip a lot of prep arcs. But still the production made it well enough to make it as far as they can while keeping the quality of the story at a
...
high point so...... a big hand to them (Seriously). Well dividing it as usual, here is the rating status of the Second Season:
Story - 6: Yep, it was fairly understandable along with a few obvious skip points to be told, but the overall impact of the story didn't wane much. A bit sad though that it could only reach Stagiaire arc, but still it could've gone a lot worse. Fairly happy yet fairly disappointed.
Art - 8: It holds to be one of the qualities that didn't go bad. Although a few episodes used many flashback cuts, the overall quality is quite good enough to render it to 7. I only added one point on a few humor cuts which are also pretty hilarious to the point that I've seen them being used as meme.
Sound - 9: Even though I'd say the first season's first ED was better, the second season's ED just as good. The sarcastic yet comedic voice overs are still there so...... (lol).
Character - 7: Shino's back! Yay!...... that's the only thing I could tell. Aside from that, the addition of few new characters which I won't probably remember and the highlight of the director stripping (Finally)..... yep, nothing much ..... (SHINO'S BACK!)
Enjoyment - 6: If this season was food, then I might've shove in too much into my mouth without chewing. That sense of "rushing due to time" keeps me from totally enjoying the whole season. The good thing though is that it didn't choke me off from watching.
Overall - 7: Yeah, the first season is definitely better, but it's all due to the fact that time was against them on the second one. Rushing too much ended up making its viewers feel something was lacking this season. But by far in total, Shokugeki no Soma is still definitely one of the notable series to watch.
Note: I was very disappointed that it didn't make it to the reveal of Soma's dad but meh....... not related to this season. :P

Rokka no Yuusha, a common "Chosen Ones to kill the Overlord" theme with twist of mystery, a dash of romance, and a bit, if not fair amount, of action. I'd say it was a notable anime for it tested not my intelligence and wits but focused on me clinging on my own deductions and answers. You will notice signs for you to answer the main question (Rather they were too noticeable IMO), but this anime will grind that thought and put your self-confidence on your calculations onto hard-paved ground. Will you let go of your deduction, or will you see the end while still pointing
...
your precious index finger to the culprit? Dum-dum-duummmm...... Eherm.
Story - 6: Aside from the unique Aztec-like setting, the background story felt like a "Certain" valkyrie mythology (Yep, forgot the title. I'm not even sure if it was an animu. Teehee) fused with Mayan/Aztec culture content. The mystery was easy, and yet it was hard to cling on due to confusions, trick scenes, and certain "Evidence" only popping out at the end of the series. In that sense, it could go better if the clues were scattered evenly, and they were better explained than just saying "Oh, we found these things while we were looking.". (I mean, can't they at least found it in a more shrouded way? *Shrugs*)
Art - 9: The art was probably the only thing great that I can see. The battle scenes were great, but they could have gone even better (Then again, it focused on the mystery so I didn't mind it). That said, it wasn't bad in any ways too. The flame and knife CG caught my eyes, specifically.
Sound - 7: Good enough to go with. They could've added a few more ambience but with the setting and all, I can't really complain.
Character - 6: All of them are unique, but I know most of us have seen their character personality on other anime characters. Straight-forward, Sly, etc. I don't really care about personality repeats due to the number of Anime out there (Well, personality is a limited value integer in the industry), but their personality choices also hints the answer to the crucial question. (If you don't get it, go watch Detective Conan or Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo).
Enjoyment - 10: I gave it a personal 10 due to me being right in the end (YES!), but that's just me. It would really go random based on how a viewer sees the anime. I gave it a 10 due to me being correct on the question and after that spiraling and very confusing dilemmas, the after effect was like "YEAH! I SAW THAT COMING MA!"-feeling (Wait.... I didn't say that IRL m'kay?!).
Overall - 8: Rokka no Yuusha is really a notably decent series. The mystery wasn't hard enough for a mystery nut, but the viewpoint with the most impact in this is keeping your self-confidence in your answer solid. The romance was a bonus too, I kinda liked the pairing.

Well, this is one of those unusual productions that actually kicks off a whole lot of UNUSUAL things in the MOST UNUSUAL ways, and it works fine for me.
This is not your usual yet still VERY familiar plot-lined anime. Never mind the propaganda and whatnot, it's all about how different we all have different ways to interpret things. Most people say it's the typical OLD VS NEW route, well, all I see is Science vs Fantasy [I mean, dragons exist in medieval times (lol)? That's news to me.]. It's like watching 2 genres fighting each other yet both want to make peace (Hate-Love.... Oh wait,
...
Tsundere is way better to describe it AND I DEFINITELY LOVE EM.). Eherm.... M'kay, here's is what I can say about this series.
Story - 9: Given that this is an almost untouched plot route (Kinda, since Outbreak Company also uses the same Initial plot LITERALLY), I can't judge much without proper reference, BUT!!!, even if it's unknown to me, the tension and full-blown one-sided power balance left an undeniably UNBIASED point of view on the story's situation. Ignoring the propaganda-like feeling (Well, the JSDF IS the Protagonist force in the story, it's obvious it would feel like one), Guns beat Swords and Rockets beat Dragons combination is the MOST STRAIGHTFORWARD slap in the face for those who love fantasy, and I bet it felt good.
Art - 8: Not much to say. I did like the |C/Slide in| kind of display where different angles of characters can be seen without much of a change in the frames itself, but it did leave a lacking feeling when it comes to group to 1 character conversations. Aside from that and repeated parts, it's good. Oh, and I gave points to the Opening's art design (Personal points). I actually liked it (Personally).
Sound - 8: Aside from gun shots and bone crackles (Which I like), everything was ok. The Opening song fits the art design. If anything, I wanted to hear more bones breaking (But I guess that's almost impossible since they die before they can even move a meter closer to the Jieitai).
Character - 8: The MOST mysterious character in this anime is the MC itself. I won't spoil so all I can say is that him, even though an otaku, being a "Unique"-type of soldier was unexpected and quite a laughable surprise. It didn't add to anything but it still made him kinda special in ways a normal MC, with above-average intelligence or fast reflexes, will look like crap. Aside from the elf being useless, the other characters, including the squad members of the MC, where all good tier.
Enjoyment - 10: Having a pretty unbalanced war playing out, the one sided massacre was, in a sense, quite an amusing idea (*Cringe* I feel like I'm turning into a Psycho). Just kidding. It was that reality-like balance that gave the anime a bit of excitement. 'Fantasy never stood a chance to Science' -like theme gave birth to the idea of what was right. 'If the science side wanted to wipe out or forcefully conquer the fantasy side, they could in mere minutes, so why not?', this question is the real point I wanted to watch in the whole series to the very end, and I personally enjoyed it much.
Overall - 9: I'd say this is one I might never forget (I wish I could so I would re-watch it). It's not the best for all since there are people who see this as propaganda or people who hate the one-sided war, but it still gives an idea of why absolute power isn't the best solution to solving conflicts.

There is a different impact on every people watching anime, especially if the anime is an adaptation of something else like a manga, a novel, and for this one, a game. I played the game and expected too much on it (Well, the game was really GREAT and I loved it.) and when it aired as an anime, it turned into a "Clean Mess". Here is why:
Story - [8] : I gave it a six because all the good things I knew would happen, didn't really happen the way I expected it to be. But, meh, it happens a lot on adaptations. But why 8
...
you ask? Well....let's see. For example, in episode 12, the game setting was WAY better (Especially since they're talking about god and such, the church setting SHOULD be better) but since it's the anime were discussing here, I gave points to certain changes and improvements like episode 2 and other surprises that I did not expect. I also gave it some point on it being an open end type where chances of a Season 2 is possible (but just a tiny chance).
Art - [9] : This, I noticed, didn't give much, if any, negative impression on me. But slashed it by a point from perfection due to some frames being repeated (I tend to memorize things and get a feeling of tardiness if I see an anime repeating animation frames unless, of course, it is a 4th wall joke. It's just a tiny problem.)
Sound - [9] : Same as the Art. The soundtrack is great, especially the battle scene BGMs. Some game soundtracks also in there which gives a nostalgic feeling to players of the game.
Character - [5] : Still the sane character design from the game. I did thought of their attires to be out of place, but then I though "Hey. The world is ending in this anime so fashion doesn't matter.". To be honest, I just gave points because my favorite character, Sakaki Paylor, is still as cool as he was in the game.
Enjoyment - [7] : I like seeing flesh being eaten like in SnK. Just Kidding. The roller coaster of positive and negative in this anime make it seem not great but it's not bad either. Starting from a shambled start, to a rocket mid-tier, to an even speed ending. I also enjoyed Episode: Scattered Petals (My favorite episode all in all). It makes me give a shred of pity on the MC and like him a tiny bit.
Overall, I give it a a total of 7. It wasn't that bad, in fact, it was a good change of pace. The game IS better, but the anime isn't much worse also. If you are watching deep (really deep) anime, this one can pull you back into shallow waters. In other words, keep hoping that there will always be better anime with NO DELAYS! (I'm just joking lol). The delay itself became something that made me hope it's gonna be better, and it........ kinda did.
