I never expected to have so much fun watching an anime.
The story follows a overpower high school boy surrounded by idiots.
That's it. The episodes have 5 minutes. And it's brilliant, because the humor is really clever and really absurd.

The animation is really solid and colorful, nothing unique but really pretty. I would not recommend if you want to think about life, complicated social questions watching an anime.

But if you're looking for an anime to pass the time, like watching while you're in the bus, this is really great. Or in the case you're looking for a wonderful comedy anime that's really practical, ... THIS IS IT.

First of all this is NOT the type of anime that is FAST, DYNAMIC, WITH ASTONISHING AND OUTSTANDING FIGHTS. This a slow anime, and if you try, you will find it qualities in other aspects.

The story is unsual, and is based on magic, monsters, lonely, desperation and hope. The relation between Chise and Elias is one of the most interesting points of the show.
The universe is well showed and here it is one of the best aspects of the anime: the animation of the scenarios. Different of the characthers design (which gets really horrible in the second-half of the show) the scenarios ... are beautiful and spectaculars in some cases.

There are some interesting second characthers, and there are some boring second characthers.

In general, this is the type of anime for people who like great scenarios and complexes stories about relationships (oh, and magic too, of course).
Really great and beautiful anime!

The first season of Overlord showed me a premise cliché, with some new elements that had potential to become something totally different from animes with a similar premise.

This season confirmed something that I realized watching the middle of the first season: This anime will not reach you expectations John.
The focus on secondary stories is really problematic, because this stories are boring, forgetable and REALLY predictable.

I really don't think that I liked one of the new characthers of this season.
The animation is regular, but becomes really bad in the last 4 episodes. So, it becomes irregular.

Well if you liked the first season you'll ... like this one. Nothing really new here (actually, nothing really INTERESTING and NEW). That's it!
Oh, and if there will be a third season, I'll watch as well.

Weel, I never read anything from Ito Junji, so I guess i can analyze this anime with no expectations.

The anime itself is basicaly a lot of stories from the recognized talented from the horror gender Ito Junji. The stories have no relation... at least, the most of them. But something in common in the stories is that all of them have suspense, horror and all of them are strange, bizarre and supernatural. Some stories are REALLY great (like the Model) and there are some really short and forgetable stories.

The worst thing here it's the animation: it seems that kids did the animation. ... This anime deserved something better than that.

The opening and the ending are great, really fits the premise of the Collection.

So, if you are looking for a horror anime with no long story (actually, a lot of stories) this is the one for you! But you'll have to tolerate the bad animation. That's it!

Every review here it's talking about Stan Lee, comics and stuff like that... and that's because the anime tries to create a comics atmosphere through the animation. But it fails miserably in it...

The animation is crap... watch the first 10 minutes then you'll understand what I'm talking about.

The story tries to create some innovating elements, but fails in that too and the story becomes boring and dispersed... the only thing that made me not considering this a waste of time was the Sky Show song, that I liked and will be in my phone in the next days. Actually the soundtrack was ... the only thing that could not be consider as trash.

If you are looking for a generic super-hero story with a really bad animation this is the perfect anime for you!

This is the first movie from a new Godzilla series. The story is really typical... the monsters came from nowhere and now the humanity is basically extinted.

There are some new elements in the premise... but nothing really innovating. The animation has some pretty scenarios (really beautiful)... but the character's design is ugly... not THAT ugly like in Ajin, but bothers a little.

There is no great character here, but there are some great moments in the story (the last 30 minutes).

If you are looking for a cliché kaijuu apocalypctical story with some good scenarios... here it is!!

I was hoping for a bad anime. But what I found watching Alderamin on the Sky was a really good plot about militar life and a great protagonista, besides a really good animation.

It's not perfect, there are some bugs in the animation, and there are supporting characters that are basically useless (Haro). The end of season it's really opened... and there will not be a second season. But there are some intelectual moments about strategies that are really interesting.

So, if you are looking for a militar anime with some interesting militar strategies, some interesting characters, but really incomplete story, Alderamin on the ... Sky it's the perfect anime!

FMA is one of my first animes (tha classic version)... and the story is really great and fun. But the classic and the Brotherhood has a lot of differences.

First, let's talk about this one isolated. The story is outstanding: all the philosofical and mystical elements, the metaphors... but it has some deffects. I thought the FMA classic had a lot of supporting characters but this one breaks records in this task!! And it's not like they are useless... actually there some really charismatc! But in some situations with them, it happens an EX MACHINA effect.

I could say that this version explores the ... FMA universe way better than the other.

As well, the animation is better than the classic one... there are some deffects but the fights are better and the Bones Studio reached a high level and consistance here. And the end of this one is more satisfying and exciting.

So if you are looking for a fun mystical adventure and a really good (techincally) anime, here it is!!

One of my first animes!! I watched this version first than the Brotherhood... and maybe that's one of the reasons (nostalgic) that I prefer this one.

But let's talk about the anime itself. The story has mystical, philosophical and sociological elements and there are several characthers really well explored. The animation is really good and there are some exciting fights.

I could say this version is more dramatic, and that's because the development of the characters and their intentios are really good and convincing. There is not a LOT of fan service... an example for that: the comedy here is way better used that ... in the other version (it's not silly at all).

Although all of this good aspects, it can be slower and less objective than the other version. But I recommend you to watch the two of them.

So, if you are looking for a fun mystical adventure and GOOD (technically) anime, here it is!!

Devilman Crybaby it's a really dirty anime. And I mean it in many ways. So if you don't tolerate profanity, curel deaths... profanity and cruel deaths in once (this last one happens a lot in the anime) i would recommend you to be away from this show. But if you don't care or like this stuff let's continue the review.

The animation is bizarre, specially in the fight scenes (some people will find the fights really ugly and confunsing), but I couldn't imagine an animation more appropriate for this plot.

Oh and the plot... it's basicaly a boy who ends up to become a ... demon. But there's a lot of symbolism, mysticism and religion in the story; and the end was really surprising to me.

So Devilman Crybaby it's an anime for adults with a lot of violence, perversity and death. I did not score 9 or 10 because there are some unnecessary moments and characters... but it is still higher than the average of gore animes!
