Just how good of a year was 1998? Winter of 1998 brought Outlaw Star, Perfect Blue and Silent Möbius. Spring 1998 brought Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Initial D and Neo Ranga, while in the same season producing YuGiOh! and Cardcaptor Sakura. Summer and Fall 1998 brought Serial Experiments Lain, Spriggan and Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, and that was just the anime. The Game Boy Color along with Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow were released in the US in Summer 1998, by the fall; The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time would be released on the N64, Half-Life and Starcraft on the PC, Resident Evil 2, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Spyro, Metal Gear Solid, Rainbow Six, Dead or Alive, Final Fantasy Tactics on the Playstation, and the first DDR arcade machine. The American films and music released that year remain unmatched. God bless 1998.
