Anime and ... me
Aside from tons of cartoons and anime I had been watching during childhood in the good ol' 80's and 90's on TV (without ever having heard of the term "anime" back then), I started consciously watching anime in the early 2000s, but only sporadically over the next 15 years or so. As I remember, among the first were Ghost in the shell , Claymore , Appleseed and of course some beloved movies from Studio Ghibli - then followed by K-On , Full Metal Alchemist and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya .

2018 was the year of rediscovering my soft spot for anime and I have begun watching them more frequently. Because of that, I started this animelist to help me keep track of when I watched what anime.

So much laughter, guilty pleasure, emotion and tears, great music and feelgood anime.


In 2020 I began reading Light Novels.



Regarding my Animelist:
My scores reflect my personal overall impressions and grade of enjoyment.
10 - the best, 9 - great, 8 - very good, 7 - good!, 6 - quite good, 5 - ok/average, 4 - below average, 3 - bad.
I consider anime with a score of 6 still enjoyable and worthwhile watching.
Thus, even Anime with scores of 7 or 6 belong to All My Favorites ( Movies , shows , most re-watched ).

Additonal info:
Outstanding Voice acting (VA) and the language is noted (german , english , japanese). Some tags like VA are mentioned for the first season only. Also, of shows I love only the first season is favorited.


I'd like to have Avatar-The Last Airbender, Korra and RWBY on my list as well, alas this site considers them not to be anime.
Then, not surprising, Toph and Pyrrha would be on my list of favorite characters, too.
