Kaze to Ki no Uta is a mature manga, not because of the sexual themes, but because of how emotional the characters and the feelings they posses. This manga is beautiful, the complexity of the characters, the drawings, and the overall theme...is breathtaking. I realize that many people aren't into BoyLove (BL), but I highly recommend this manga. It demonstrates the emotional struggles of young men, suppressing their desires, as well as the battles that 14 year old Gilbert possess of a new found sexuality. This contains all the bad stuff and wraps it in a neat little bow. It doesn't glorify rape, murder, homosexuality,
...
.....just presents it. It stands out awkwardly on how realistic the manga goes in depth, all the while remaining an interesting story. It contains many, many things that will turn peoples' noses up, but if you look past it, you will see something that horrifies yet, intrigues you.
This story follows a 14 year old Serge and his adventures at a Catholic school. He rooms with a boy, Gilbert, who sells his body in return for favors (such as homework, higher grades, money,). "Everything happens for a reason" is one quote that represents every character. Serge has to deal with his new found homosexuality, and the lewed nature of Gilbert. The art style is different, and may not appeal to everyone (this was one of the first yaoi of all time).
It contains many, many adult themes, and highly recommend it. There is no direct sex in it, but it shows the psychotic nature of us human beings. Why do I recommend it? Because it's realistic, something many people miss about manga in general. It is a short read, but it will leave a long lasting impression, wether it be good or bad is up to you.

La stoira della Arcana Famiglia is an anime that can be summed up in one sentence, "cool guys doing cool things". This anime relies heavily on the friendships and characters, while the plot seems to "sneak" past the viewer, and have them wondering where it went. That's all good and well of you like watching pretty boys in suits and ties, but those who don't....you maybe wondering where the plot has escaped too. I must give this anime credit for one thing, it knocks all the filler episodes in the first three. This is a great get-away chance for those who aren't as patient as
...
the ones who have sat through an entire episode devoted to a kitten, but those who have, might see an actual plot over this thundercloud of "cool guys doing cool things" summary.
After many, many depressing back-stories, hand-holding, lost kittens, and breast foundling, does the actual plot begin......on episode 11. Since this anime does rely so heavily on characters and the atmosphere, the characters are quite good and have a nice varieties of looks, voice, and how they carry themselves. The music is plains, besides the first opening, and doesn't really catch my eye. If you were expecting fighting, awesome battles, and other shounene features, you may want to skip this one. I can understand why you want to skip it, as even I wanted to even with my "DO NOT DROP" policy when doing reviews, I wanted to opt out as well. With immense concentration and many, many painstaking hours with my cursor hovering over the big X button, I ended up watching it.
This anime is a strange case of false advertisements, making the viewer think of "much action, less romance" while it's the complete opposite. Overall I give it a 6.01/10, as it was enjoyable (for the most part), but didn't quite live up to its name.

Amnesia is an anime that is a hit or miss with some people; you either love it, or you don't. While I can't say I'm in either of those two categories, I do have a strong opinion on this anime, an I haven't decided of they are good or bad yet.
Story: 5.78/10
The story is very basic, seeing as it is based off an Otome game. The Heroin in Amnesia is reliving the same day, but in an alternate universes', each one having a different boy as her lover. The story is fairly cliché, but this particular anime has strong points that make up for
...
the lack of story.
Art: 9.45/10
The art is beautifully done, very well for an anime of this genre. Generally romance anime haven't been very well animated in the industry, and this proves otherwise. The characters are interesting and very well designed, the irises are also very lovely to the eyes. Overall it is extremely well done.
Sound: 9.79/10
The sound also is another aspect of this anime do so well; the voice acting and the opening and ending are very nice. The OP is very well done, and remains one of my favorites. The voice acting is nice, but the downside it doesn't have a Dubbed version yet (hopefully!).
Characters: 5.89/10
The characters were lacking originality, especially our Heroin (who actually doesn't have a name in the anime!). The other characters (or lovers) are based off of suits in a deck of cards (Joker, Heart, Diamond, Ace, and Spade). Without spoiling too much, what I can say is that some are very.......possessive of our Heroin. She is not very strong willed, but Otome-Anime games aren't know for the strong female lead, are they?
I personally recommend this anime, but be warned for it to be a hit or miss. This can be highly enjoyable, or you can drop it like its hot. Enjoy!!

I don't know if it's because I already poured my cereal in my bowl this morning and I didn't have any fucking milk, or if it's because this anime truley sucked. What I do know is this anime pissed me off. It introduces a set of new characters, Alios and Clyde, these two domininating the second season.
Story: 4
The story was mediocre at best. It honestly wasn't in the least bit interesting, and was a waste of time to even watch. The storyline of the first one was great, amazing I'm fact. But this one was appealing, and made me think they should've ended it with
...
what they had. Alios and Clyde weren't any significance, and seemed like a knock-off of Ciel and Sebestaion. It was long and drawn out, no character whatsoever.
Art : 9
The art was nice, nothing special and kept the Victorian era true to its name. Alios, Clyde, Ciel, and Sebeastian were all drawn nicely, and we're very original. The scenery in the background was nice, overall it was a solid 9
Sound: 10
The voice acting was magnificent , and the voices fit the personalities of characters they represented. The opening and closing weren't very memorable, but the pictures were nice, while the second season lacked in story, the sound made up for it.
Character: 2
The characters pissed me off. Not because they were annoying *cough Alios cough*, But because how two dementional they are. I hate when animators try and use flashbacks as a way to do character development. Some cases it works, others it miserably fails. This of course is the latter. They also love to try to have a depressing past to make us have sympathy for them, using this as an excuse for said character to be a complete asshole to everyone. Alios was an annoying brat, and quite frankly I'm glad what the animators decided to cut his part. Cylde was just overall creepy and delusional, obsessing over Ciel for some odd reason. They are just cookie cutter characters, nothing special.
Enjoyment: 3
I did not enjoy this anime at all. I loved seeing Ciel and Sebeastian again, but this anime was a train wreck. Alios ruined it for me, and I finished it, hoping that it will have a great ending, but it was a disappointment. I recommend that you watch it for the shits and giggles, but don't expect it to be the best thing since toast was invented.
Overall : 5
This anime averaged to about a 4.9, after adding each number I gave it then dividing it by the four categories, giving it a almost solid 5. It looks like shit compared to the first Black Butler, but after having an amazing first season, my expectations weren't set to high. I recommend to watch, but don't make my mistake of thinking it will be good, then being disappointed in the end. If you enjoyed my review, feel free to check out my others! Enjoy!
