Logging in here 10 years after I got "cancelled"(the term did not exist at the time) for my Evangelion review.

Thanks for liking my reviews. In terms of rebuilds, I can't remember a lot about them them because I watched them a while ago, I remember I did like watching them but I would say, in comparison to how the normal TV series is, it comes across as too 'nice'. I think IRS definitely catered for those whom haven't watched the series than those who have. What I definitely remember is the amazing visual three show deserves. I definitely need to watch them again but I do think they are slightly anti Evangelion, but you may like them a bit more. I watched the TV series in Japanese mainly because the voices are pretty good, I've heard the dub and it doesn't sound too convincing. I'm glad your doing a strictly sub watching of anyone, I do believe the dubs are inferior most times.

As for Aldnoah, I'd say the series is nice on the eye but as soon as you think slightly deeper about how the characters ate, their actions ext, you can realize it isn't really that good. I kept checking how well the review was doing, and it was the best review at 1 point (65% helpful) then the Aldnoah fan boys killed it, but I'm still happy it did well.

Yeah, i totally understand where your coming from, it is one of the most controversial endings of anime mainly because of the theories attached to why there was the end of Evangelion. Some believe it's due to the fans original hate of the ending, some think it's because he wanted people to hate it so he could make more profits, and some believe he wanted the end of Evangelion to be the original ending but due to censoring it wouldn't have been allowed.

I still need to watch it again, but it blew my mind when seeing it the first time. I do believe that understanding it is a huge hurdle, and as long you have a good understanding of the characters and the actual plot and still don't like it, that's fine. When it comes to reviewing anime's, it's best to leave personal feelings towards the ending paragraph.

Unfortunately i didn't like your review of evangelion too much, I know it's hard writing a first review, but in the end it didn't really give me any points as to why you points you mentioned make the show bad. As for someone who has seen it twice and admire it, I think it's much more easier to not have very high expectations of certain anime's because it could lead to you hating them (like I did with cowboy bebop).

Although people are recommending watching the End of evangelion, I think you'd hate it even more, because it's 2x more darker and psychological than while of evangelion in my opinion. Good luck in writing more reviews

The true ending to Evangelion is the movie The End Of Evangelion, but whatever. I think it was obvious enough form the start that this will be not your typical entertainment anime. You need completely different attitude for watching this and prepared for something darker and realistic. Not to mention that without this anime, Death Note, Code Geass and others would have never been created. I guess you prefer more entertaining shows. Anyways, not a good review. You should probably think a few days about this show since it definitely has something to think about and watch the movie, which is the true ending. Cheers.

I saw your rewiew on Evangelion. I might recommend you watch End of Evangelion. It offers an alternative viewpoint to the last two episodes. You may prefer it. It's a movie by the way.
