1. Yamada Tae = 9 Characters = 9 as my MAL Rating. Coincidence? I think not.

2. EVERY one of the girls felt so alive and well-developed. Some didn't get full-arc representations, but they did what they could with 12 eps and 7 heroines.

3. THE MUSIC IS GREAT. Can't get the OP out of my head.

4. A show about Zombie Idols? The story can't be any good. WRONG. WRONG. When the Reddit episode threads constantly fill up with possible explanations to the nuanced story plots, you know it's a winner.

5. The Art/Animation- tis excellent.

... 6. Try to watch the whole series *without* laughing. Dare ya to try.

7. The VAs really had a ball with this one. Very impressive work.

WHAT have I Listed here? Well it's a reason to watch this show for each and every waifu on the cast. Reasons why you should drop what you're doing, right now, and start watching the Rebirth of Saga.

Feels good. FEELS GOOD.

That's how I'd describe this show. It's light, it doesn't take anything seriously, and it's funny. Yeah it's a comedy, but it doesn't depend on incredibly cleverly written jokes or absurdities to be funny. It's a Kawaii-Com.

Reasons to like this show:
-It's cute (the art)
-The girls are likable
-Vampires!
-Subtle, not-overtly-sexified yuri undertones
-Surprising character development and some humor you wouldn't expect

This is one of those shows that's easy to knock for its simplicity and lack of anything revolutionary, but I'm glad it's doing fine on MAL and that studios are still taking the time to make these simple and likable SoLs that I, a grown-ass man, can sit back and enjoy after a long day at work. I look forward to this every week.

It's fun. It's worth watching.

These days we analyze anime on a granular level. Gone are the days we sit back and just appreciate the show.

The people who say the MC is generic, the art is nothing special, the ecchi is a bit cliche, and the story (if there even is one) is drab- I can't say they're completely wrong.

However, no matter how overplayed a trope is or how "unoriginal" an anime can be, I like to think each title has a bit of its own special magic, and that's what contributes to our enjoyment. This show has that magic.

The overall package just works together to ... make it really enjoyable. I can sit back and no matter how "terrible/cringe" this show gets, I can enjoy it. The art style is delightful, the OP/ED gives it a memorable signature, and the harem is kawaii.

But if you want a more objectified look at why I like this anime: the humor is funny, the girls are likable, well-designed, and well-written, and the story is simple yet not all too predictable. I can't dislike a show that has me chuckling and swooning.

To end on a more neutral note, if you like comedy and ecchi, I can't see this anime faulting you. The supernatural theme is a nice touch and works. You can tell that even though they may have a smaller animation budget, love was put into character details and expressions. Give it a shot and you may just enjoy the kawaii within.

A perfectly good example of "average". Nothing in particular felt bad, or even subpar. However, per a review online, it did feel like the studio took a "How To Make Popular Anime: 101" guide book and followed it to the T.

It did feel generic, and the main reason it scores below an 8 for me is that I was hard pressed to 'feel' anything for the characters. Sure, the harem was likeable. But that does not equal being able to really invest in their character designs or personalities. It didn't affect me the way ReLIFE, Toradora, or even Infinite Stratos did.

The show was good ... for sure, but in a very technical way. The animations were great, the music was good, the harem was good, but it all lacked a certain personality, uniqueness, or air about it. It could have improved much more by going deeper into relationship development or even deeper writing. The political aspects were very interesting to watch and I would like more of that backstory. The writing simply did not strike a particular chord with me, despite being decent. Still enjoyable but fell a bit short, especially compared to Chivalry of a Failed Knight which is shorter but emotionally holds together better.

I can see why people hate this show, and there are some valid points there. However, this anime wasn't particularly "horrible" at any aspect, and it gets most of its points of my rating from enjoyment as opposed to execution. It was a tad forgettable.

"But wait! There's more, really!"

Yeah, like everyone here I agree that the first few quotes of this series are incredibly off-putting, if not at least polarizing.

BUT, after buckling down and watching the first few episodes, I've come to really enjoy the shameless cast because they aren't afraid of who they are. They're dynamic, they feel real, and the relationships are relatable. For those of us who know nothing of the writer's profession, this is also a pretty nice peek into that.

This is an example of a finely written slice-of-life. There are no action scenes; the humor isn't all ecchi; in fact, most of the humor ... isn't roll-on-the-floor-funny. BUT (yes, but), you'll keep watching. Why? Because the show is well-put together, the writing can be witty, and the show will very subtly get you invested in the cast. Before you know it, you've finished S1.

TECHNICALITIES: Animation is a solid 8. The music reminds me of Oregairu, so a solid 9. Watched subs first which was good, then dubs which was GREAT because of the voice actors. Ended on a cliffhanger so eagerly looking forward to S2.

Absolutely a 10/10, easily.

A common complaint here will be how "rushed" this conclusion was to such a masterful first season. But given the fact the writers were green-lighted for 4-episodes to make a reasonable ending that spanned 100+ chapters makes this conclusion all the more incredible.

I praised the original ReLIFE for being the masterpiece that it was, and this was the long awaited conclusion that did it justice, in my opinion. Many anime don't get the endings they deserve but thankfully for us, this one does so it can be passed down over time as a must-watch classic for anyone.

Production took a hit but all ... the important parts were there. The character development was fleshed out for the time they had.

I'm just really glad I was able to take this ReLIFE journey with Arata, Chizuru, and company. Animes like these are what make me think so fondly of anime storytelling, and if nothing else, you are sure to be punched right in the gut during the closing scene.

ReLIFE is one of those animes where you look at the synopsis and decide that it may or may not be your cup of tea. In this regard, it is truly a hidden gem because under the relatively simple premise of a story is great writing and excellent execution.

The story is a slow burn; I've remarked myself that the pilot episode itself was only average. But as you make your way through the series, everything starts to just make sense why this story is being told, and you come to truly care about these characters which are so phenomenally written.

It's easy to mess up character ... development but difficult to master getting it just right, and ReLIFE is a prime example of the latter. It's filled with a memorable cast with each character standing out with their own consistently-crafted personalities, fully including their strengths and weaknesses.

Few anime get the endings they deserve but fortunately for us, ReLIFE is one of those.

ReLIFE has made me feel ways I have not felt from consuming any other type of media. It's genre-defining storytelling at its finest and is easily one of the reasons why I have come to love anime. At the very minimum you will feel a shred of care towards these 2-dimensional characters, so what are you waiting for? Give it a shot and you won't regret it, as cliche as that sounds.

My first anime review, but I think I have some valuable thoughts.

I wasn't sure I'd enjoy a Yuri anime, and this show isn't ashamed of what it's about. The girl-to-girl is somewhat aggressive especially in the beginning of the series and this may put off some, but if you don't dislike that type of anime in particular, I'd say try this series because the character development is interesting to watch. At first, Yuzu and Mei protagonists are cringe-worthy, but then the show tactically gets you to empathize with and root for them over time.

The anime has a nice and modern art style and the ... music is catchy. Everything kinda rolls up together making a nicely delivered modern-slice-of-life-anime package that emphasizes story-telling, character development, and plot twists.

At the very least, USE THE THREE-EPISODE RULE. I would even dare say it'll hook you later than that, maybe episode 4 or 5. But don't throw it out if you've only seen the first episode, because this is worth it to ride out if you give it a chance to change your mind. I stuck with it and am happy I did.
