Kenja no Mago (Anime) add
Haven't read the manga or the LN, but the script writing for this anime adaptation is entirely middle school grade - I know because I wasn't any better than this when I was in middle school. Absolute garbage.

So MAL wants me to write a longer review, so here's a few recommendations for other shows to watch that also aired this (Spring 2019) season:

1) Midara no Ao-chan no Benkyou ga Dekinai
2) Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san
3) Sarazanmai
4) Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin (bit of a hit or miss, this one. I loved it)

Mixed Feelings
First of all, I would've gladly given this one a 6, or maybe even a 7 out of 10. But I stuck to 5 because of one glaring issue - the story isn't complete, and there is no indication of it being continued either. The sequel to the manga was cancelled, along with another from the same author simultaneously not too long ago. But don't be disheartened just yet - there's more to it.

DO NOT BE MISLED BY OTHER'S EARLY NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!

At first the show felt like it was a desperate attempt to mix up a bunch of weird ideas (death by losing your undies, anyone?), crossing it's fingers and hoping something amusing will come out of it. You really need not go too far, just watch the first three episodes and you'll be hooked already - though there are only 7 episodes in total.

The story is mostly serious, thought-provoking and heart-breaking; there is some comedy (that's actually funny) and silliness mixed in there too, but only during the light moments and not just shoved into your ...
