The continuation of the 86 franchise can be described by one word:

Beautiful.

Although the story of 86 may be lacking in some areas, its amazing characterizations and visual presentation continue through to the second half of 86 becoming better throughout the show.

The story of discrimination and racism is not one I find to be that interesting. They often feel bland and shallow. Naturally, this hurt the story of 86 in the first installment as it really didn’t do anything to change my grievances with these types of stories. However, this recurring theme was better done in this installment as the Republic did not play as big ... of a role. Of course, this theme is still present in the Giad Federacy, but it isn’t being constantly shoved down my throat as much. I Still have my problems with it, but overall, it was done better.

As for the characters, I can say I have mostly praise for them. The change in characters is subtle but evident. Shin, although he has quite a blank-slate personality, is not just some overpowered self-insert protagonist. He has real emotions, burdens, and struggles he deals with. While certainly not all of them we can relate to, his struggle of finding a goal in life is something many young people can come to appreciate.

After reading reviews of this show, I have come to realize that it is unfair to judge an anime solely based on reviews. In my opinion, this show is very good and even surpasses some of the isekais rated 7-8. It is disheartening to see people criticize these series for being unoriginal instead of appreciating them for what they are.

Some viewers have criticized the show for featuring a typical overpowered (OP) protagonist and a harem, but is that necessarily a bad thing? A review should not solely focus on a lack of originality without considering the context and appeal of the genre.

While some people may ... grow weary of watching similar content repeatedly, they should not dismiss a show simply for being unoriginal if they are not the target audience. Personally, as a fan of OP protagonists but not a fan of the "power of friendship" trope, I find this isekai enjoyable and would give it an 8 out of 10.

However, I recognize that my bias towards isekais may impact my rating, so a more objective rating would be 7 out of 10. Therefore, I recommend this show to those who appreciate isekais, but if you dislike the genre, it may not be for you. In fact, why would you even watch an isekai if you don't like the genre?

It can be said that it is a well-made emotional anime, maybe at first glance, it seems like a fantasy to some people, but with more accuracy, somehow the director depicted the experience of forming a deep romantic relationship drop by drop based on the needs of both parties with a gentle slant on the other hand, concepts such as attention to others, the need for love in everyone, selflessness, love, loneliness, decency and hard work are emphasized by the director, and you can see the great impact of each and every small action of people on the life path of others.

If you are looking ... for a sweet and enjoyable experience without major concerns, I recommend it to you, it's a pure slice-of-life anime.

SAO's franchise has always been full of disapproval babbles between the anime fans, we can look that in the continue hate and rants that we can find in every place. However, even if it is hard to accept for several fans, the light novel is considered the best of Japan's decade, where it matters. One of the arcs from that light novel is titled Alicization that concludes with these eleven episodes and that for me, it is probable the best part of SAO's plot until this date leaving aside the new arc (Unital Ring) that is being published right now.

I really love this anime. Characters are unique in their ways. The story is fun and it is rare for this kind of genre. There is also a lot of knowledge inserted throughout the story and you can apply that knowledge in your real life. The art & sound are not top-tier anime but the quality does not drop throughout part 1 and part 2. The story and character can compensate for art & music. I really wish it will have season 2. If you have never watched this anime before, I strongly recommend to ... try once. Let's support this anime together :)
