AKB0048
add

Nevermind the space and fighting, theme-wise, AKB0048 and Symphogear both work on the premise that songs and music can change the world. We all have historically seen these, particularly in the 80s-90s where the world was torn between ballistic missiles, KGBs, the Berlin Wall, AK47s, and the operation Desert Storm, and bands like Bon Jovi, Metallica, Scorpions, among other heavy metal bands went up face to face with machine guns, all for the sake of "changing the world through music". Sounds like a premise, eh? These two anime shows does show just that, anime-style.

Houkago no Pleiades (TV)
add

Space and time, multiple universes, fragments/pieces, memory-loss, magic, indirect romance, kawaiiness, GP-rated moeness, CGDCT, if plot elements like these are what you're looking for, then look no further with Houkago no Pleiades and Kobato. Both of these anime has space and time concepts, as Houkago no Pleiades deals with multiverses in quite the same way as CLAMP's universe for Kobato-- space and time with magic, if I may add. Much more, both of these seem to be looking for "fragments" that looks like sugar candies, with the former on engine fragments, and the latter on konpeito. Still not satisfied? Then both main characters also deal with a bit of memory losses and indirect romances, and they're also voiced by well-known seiyuus as well: Natsumi Takamori as Subaru, and Kana Hanazawa as Kobato. Hence, with all the kawaiiness and moeness made, and to go with the same worry-free GP-rating, so you can let your imouto or son/daughter to watch these without getting a mindf*ck, Houkago no Pleiades and Kobato are what you earnestly be needing to watch.

Himouto! Umaru-chan
add

Himouto! Umaru-chan and Yuru Yuri showcases their strong points with the large serving of 'genki girl'; as Umaru-chan and Toshinou Kyouko does have their 'genki' similarities on being otakus, filled with events that fills each episode with silly nonsense, comedy and antics. If you're a fan of otaku-ness and daily dose of CGDCT moeness, these two shows are for you.

Yama no Susume Second Season
add

Is what you're looking for, a moe, slice-of-life, lighthearted, warmhearted CGDCT anime? With a touch of Japanese scenery? And yet there is characterization and plot (just not as extreme)? Then look no further, Tamayura: Hitotose and Yama no Susume showcases just that. Easy to watch, none of those mind-bungling plots and complex characters, these anime are perfect for a lazy afternoon or cool night. It's simple, refined, and adds a great rendition to what CGDCT anime are. Plus, both Kana Asumi and Yuka Iguchi are seiyuus in these two anime.

Koufuku Graffiti
add

While Yakitate! Japan focuses on the wacky, often exaggerated but nonetheless very fun food-reactions on breads that sends souls to Heavens, makes your eye like an F1-racer, and allows you to change the future; Koufuku Graffiti makes its food-reactions from a supple of moe-glazing art with a help of verbs and adjectives to describe the tastiness of foods.

Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!
add

WataMote and Kimi Ni Todoke share the same aspect of school life plot where the main characters are unpopular, awkward, unsociable, but deep inside, they both long for social interaction; with corresponding monologues of Mokocchi (WataMote) inclined to become popular and dating guys, and Sawako's desire to make friends. In an ironic way, it's like Sawako was able to attain what Mokocchi was hoping for...or it's like Sawako drained every good luck that Mokocchi has. Or put it this way: Sawako is "also" a shoujo manga in Mokocchi's WataMote-world. But whatever the case and how you perceive it to be shoujo+romcom for Kimi ni Todoke and shounen+comedy for WataMote, if you like WataMote, then you'd pretty much like Kimi Ni Todoke, and vice versa.

Akuma no Riddle
add

Both shows possess the similar themes of one of the main characters (MC) as an assassin placed in school settings (whom both uses throwing knives and 9mm handguns as their preferred choice of weapons), the other MC being a bit of the optimistic, smiling ditsy shoujo, and (almost) all of the characters are females with a hint of shoujo-ai-ness in them. The striking difference with Akuma no Riddle than Kill Me Baby is that the former is basically action and a lot more serious than the latter which is pretty much a comedy in genre, you'd be forgiven to think that the former is "Kill Me Baby: The Serious Version" as how I myself would say it. All in all, for those who love Kill Me Baby, you may wanna try this one out!

Wixoss and [C] both share a gamble of wishes and dreams: wishes that needed to come true and dreams that needed to be realized for the winner. Losing the game means the consequences of losing one's wishes and dreams, and more of what one could have hoped or thought for.

Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?
add

As Kiniro Mosaic is about Shino's fandom about London or England in general in a realistic setting, Gochuumon Usagi goes with a setting reminiscent to the old days of England--in a fantasy-esque setting that is. Both anime are slice-of-life with diabetes-inducing moeness, moe characters, and both having Risa Taneda voicing very similar characters: Ayaya (KiniroMosaic) and Rize (Gochuumon).

Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil
add

Character-wise, Wizard Barristers and Mondaiji-tachi have characters so perfect as to be annoying. Wizard Barristers have the mary-sue character Cecil, and Mondaiji-tachi has Izayoi as the gary-stu (female version of mary-sue) character. Anime fans who like perfect characters as perfect as perfection itself, cliche relationship towards other characters and also upstages every other characters, possesses unbelievable unimaginable powers to defeat enemies easily for the convenience of the plot, lacks any realistic or story-relevant character flaws, if you like these kinda, then definitely try Wizard Barristers and Mondaiji-tachi.

Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu
add

I haven't seen this anime being recommended alongside YuruYuri's so I'll be recommending it; although not as yuri or shoujo-ai-ness, but Stella Jogakuin has the same girl-admiration-ness placed on its plot elements. Also, fans who enjoy YuruYuri and school-life as well as slice-of-life will find enjoyment on this anime.

Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita.

Raul and Fino reminds me so much of Yuuta and Rikka. Raul acts retorting and chastising to Fino; much like how Yuuta retorts to Rikka whenever she goes on her chuunibyou.

Although Natsuiro Kiseki is not entirely just focused on idol-theme, but both series gives a vibe of a story of friendship, as well as struggling and chasing your dreams or the things that make you happy. Both series show the element of rising after the fall, not giving up, realizations, and growing up.

Same lighthearted slice-of-life feel, cutesy moe-esque feel; both series gives two same idol-themes but directs to different stories of friendship and chasing dreams of becoming idols in their own terms. Plus, the characters are never boring, you'll see from both series that each of their characters stands out. Everyone is a main character and no one goes to be just an extra or support-character.
