When I first heard about this show I expected it to be pretty stupid. It follows a young girl named Tanya who is born in an alternate Germany during an alternate version of WW1. Magic exists in this world and it is because of this that Tanya is enlisted into the military at a very young age due to the fact that she is naturally gifted with a high storage of magical power. Once in the military, she climbs up the ranks to major and ends up leading her own special unit in order to fight for her country. In actuality,
...
Tanya is a middle aged Japanese businessman who was killed and then reincarnated into this little girl's body by God, whom Tanya calls Being X.
With a premise like this I expected the anime to be a comedy but to my surprise it turns out to be rather serious about its plot. When you first watch it I'm sure you'll laugh at how a bunch of soldiers are taking orders from a 10 year old girl but after a while that will completely have changed.
Tanya may be a 10 year old girl but as the show continued I stopped considering her to be a child. She is a mastermind when it comes to warfare and can be very manipulative and ruthless when the situation calls for it. Even though she is the main character there are times where you will think of her as a villain. She has killed officers who questioned her command and even ordered her troops to open fire on a group of civilians who may hold a grudge against the Empire in the future. Her character is extremely interesting especially when you consider that her only goal in life is to live comfortably away from conflict. However, even as she gets closer and closer to fulfilling her goal, Being X always finds a way to make sure that she's put in very deadly situations. However, even with all of the shit that Being X throws at her, Tanya is determined to survive and continually overcomes whatever the war or Being X throws at her. The fact that the writers were able to take a very strange and somewhat stupid premise and turn it into something this interesting is honestly incredible.
If you ever come across this anime I recommend that you at least give it a shot. It may seem like a very weird concept at first but after the first couple of episodes I'm sure that you will not be disappointed.

This show honestly defied all expectations I had of it, which is to say I absolutely expected nothing out of it from the start. I am not a fan of fan service in anime since most times I want to enjoy a series for its story instead of its tits and ass. When I first heard of Keijo i think my jaw almost dislocated with how fast it dropped. A show where well endowed girls battle each other in skimpy bathing suits with their butts and breasts? It might have been the most ultimate level of fan service I've seen in
...
an anime that wasn't a hentai. My curiosity got the better of me and I'm honestly glad it did because I had so much fun watching this show.
Let me start off by saying that not everyone will like Keijo for what it is and that is completely understandable. Many will look at the trailer or read a summary, say "this shit is stupid" and then move on. However, I believe that Keijo's overwhelmingly ridiculous concept is what makes it so enjoyable to watch. It doesn't try to be a super serious show with a super serious plot it just simply wants to make you laugh and by god does it achieve that with flying colors. The story and characters are good enough for you to pay attention to them but simple enough that you don't get too invested which is exactly what a show like this needs. If a show about girls fighting with their tits and ass tried to make you care about the story and characters more than you know you should then you'd honestly end up caring about the whole thing even less.
The main story behind Keijo is that its a professional sport (like basketball or football) where a group of girls with large breasts and butts, stand on a shaky platform in the middle of a large pool and battle each other to be the last one standing. Players can only attack others with their butts and breasts and will lose if they either fall into the water or fall onto the platform. The main character is Nozomi Kaminashi, a very energetic 18 year old girl who wants to be the best Keijo player and thats it. She has no sad backstory or any other complex reason, she plays Keijo because she likes it. For a show like this that's honestly all we need from the main character because, lets be honest, we're not really here to know all that much about her. Each character has their own personality, which helps you identify them, but they aren't too complex. A few characters have backstories but they aren't too deep that it would complicate the story. The fact that the characters are identifiable yet simple makes us not care too much nor too little about them. It has us know who they are while still mainly focusing on the main part which is the ridiculousness of the sport itself.
The funny thing about Keijo is that even though most of the techniques used in the sport will have you rolling on the floor in a fit of laughter, its not that bad of a battle shonen. Seeing as the characters can only attack with their breasts and butts, I wasn't sure how engaging the fight scenes would be but I was shocked to find out that it was actually pretty good. The animation is pretty great (probably better than a show like this deserves) and some of the techniques in the show, although heart stoppingly hilarious, are animated extremely well. You also do want to see the main character succeed and its shown in the very beginning of the show that even though she is good at the sport she is nowhere near the best and still has a lot to learn.
Of course people who love anime fan service will love the hell out of this show but if you're someone who loves to laugh at ridiculous things or someone who likes to watch "so bad that its good" movies because of the bizarre choices that the movie makes then I think you'll get a real kick out of Keijo.

I've wanted to do a review about Super for some time now but I wanted to wait a good while until I had a clear opinion on what I thought of the show. If you look at any Dragon Ball Super forum or the youtube comments on a Super video you'll likely find that the fanbase is split between those who think that Super is a gift from God and those who think that Super is utter shit that is worse than GT. So what do I think about it?
Like most people, I was not happy when I learned that the show
...
would be retelling the events of the Battle of Gods and Revival of F movies. Nevertheless, I still watched the show just to see if it would be any good. After the first five episodes I literally dropped the series and never even bothered to look at it again until the Revival of F arc was finished. Yes, the first two arcs are THAT bad. However, when I decided to give Super another shot I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was slowly but surely getting better.
Story (Spoilers): If you have seen the Battle of Gods and Revival of F movies then you pretty much know the setup for about the first 25-30 episodes. The retelling of the arcs are basically the same as the movies with very slight changes. The only problem is they're told slower and have pretty bad animation. The third arc is where things actually start to get interesting. The arc is a tournament between two universes, Universe 7 which is Goku's universe and Universe 6. This arc was the start of Super actually becoming a good show. It's definitely not a great arc, the animation can be bad at times, only two fights are interesting, and the main reason behind the tournament poses no threat at all to the Z fighters, but it did do a good job of establishing the Super Dragon Balls, the 12 universes, and the Omni King who can wipe an entire universe from existence. The Goku Black arc is held by many as the best arc in the show so far and I definitely agree. Future Trunks travels to Goku's timeline to ask for help to defeat an enemy who is destroying Trunks's world. What's really interesting is that the enemy looks exactly like Goku. Without getting too into the plot, I will say that this arc was pretty good. The story was entertaining, it arguably had the best villain in all of Dragon Ball, and a fan favorite makes a triumphant return. The only problems I have with it are the constant jumps through time every time Goku and Vegeta are defeated, the inconsistency behind time travel logic, as well as the rushed and somewhat asspulled conclusion which in my opinion was pretty bad.
Animation: The animation for the first two arcs (and a little bit of the third arc) were honestly fucking terrible to look at especially at its worst. At this point talking about the animation in Super's early days is like beating a dead horse but it truly is that horrendous. The art also looked pretty poor with weird character models and faces. Now I will say that once the Universe 6 and 7 Tournament got into full swing, the animation started to get better. It wasn't anything great but I could tell that they were stepping up their game. Once the Goku Black arc started the animation had actually become decent and at its best is fairly impressive. Nowadays, even though there are times where the art and animation can look a little poor, its not as bad as it used to be.
Characters: The first three arcs of Super are basically the Goku and Vegeta show. Anyone who was not a Saiyan with god energy or a god themselves was useless. Gohan and Krillin had stopped training, Piccolo was bizarrely useless, and Goten and Trunks are rarely used. The female characters are more or less the same with the exception of Videl who has lost any sort of personality she had and has devolved into a generic polite anime housewife. While this bugged me GREATLY in the beginning of the show it seems that the writers are listening to the complaints of the fans and are not only giving development to the old characters but are actually making them relevant to the plot again. Even Gohan is going to play a major role in this newest arc. Most of the characters act the same way they always have but Goku and Vegeta seem to have changed a bit. In Vegeta's case he has definitely become calmer. Although he still has an attitude, he's no longer the proud, arrogant, ruthless prince he was in DBZ. He actually has some comedic scenes. At first I wasn't a fan of this but now he might be my favorite character in the show. Goku on the other hand has definitely become dumber almost as if he's a child. Now people have stated that "Goku was always dumb" but at least you could tell that although he lacked common sense he was still an adult who had grown. Super has taken Goku and has reverted his intelligence to that of a child. He also doesn't seem to take things as seriously as he used to back in DBZ.
Sound: For the most part the music is ok and the second opening is honestly pretty awesome. My main problem comes with the hitting sound effects. A lot of them don't really match up with the hard punches the characters are throwing and sometimes makes the fight scenes less impactful.
Small Flaws: The only other issues I have with Super are honestly pretty minor. Firstly are the God transformations. I don't really have a problem with the concept but I absolutely despise the designs. I can't even call them designs since they are literally just recolors of the Super Saiyan transformation. The god transformation (super saiyan blue as its called) also pretty much shoves the previous super saiyan forms to the side. The writers have tried to still keep the lesser forms relevant by having Goku and Vegeta use them against weaker opponents but for the most part Super Saiyan Blue is almost always what they transform into to fight an opponent. The only other problem I have is that the power scaling in this show is fucking ridiculous. Goku is literally so powerful now that his base form is as strong as his SSJ3 form when he first fought with Buu. This means that whenever he has to fight in his Super Saiyan Blue form then the fight should literally be destroying planets. Goku and Vegeta have gotten so powerful that I find it hard to believe that the fights they have later in the show aren't destroying multiple planets.
Overall, if you are someone who loves Dragon Ball and is not sure about watching Super or someone who dropped it but are thinking about getting back into it then I honestly recommend that you give it a shot (watch the Battle of Gods and Revival of F movies instead of watching the retold arcs). The writers seem intent on learning from their early mistakes and listening to the responses of the fanbase and as of now they're not doing that bad of a job. It's not as good as Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z but despite the problems that I'm almost guaranteed you'll find it's becoming more enjoyable as the series continues to improve.

This show is good but nothing really stands out to me. If I had to describe it I guess I would say it feels a lot like one punch man except the main character isn't an all powerful emotionless badass. The story is okay and can provide some entertainment but there's nothing really great about it. First few episodes were pretty effective in explaining the kind of world the characters live in as well as what the main character's dreams and obstacles are. Midoriya Izuku, or Deku as he's called, wants to become a hero even though he was born with
...
no powers, or Quirk. In an amazing stroke of luck he meets his idol All Might, who is the greatest hero of all time. All Might eventually decides to mentor Deku and gives him his very own Quirk. This allows Deku to enroll in the greatest hero school of all time. After he's allowed to attend the school of his dreams, the story kind of slows down. I don't feel like anything is really at stake or anyone is going to die. Even when we're specifically told that something terrible is going to happen I don't feel any real threat. I wasn't even worried when the class had to take on a swarm of villains because I knew All Might and the rest of the heroes would show up to save the day. By the end of the season I wasn't really interested in what new adventures the characters would eventually go through because I felt like everything would just turn out ok.
Speaking of characters, most of them aren't even really that important or memorable. Midoriya, All Might, and Bakugo are pretty much the only ones who are given any sort of back story, personality, and goal. Midoriya is a shy and weak boy with a good heart. All Might is a great hero whose time is running short. Bakugo is Deku's rival/bully/childhood friend who was constantly being praised about how great he was but hates Deku because he feels like Deku doesn't believe in what a god he is. I'm really not sure if they want us to pity Bakugo or just straight out hate him because there are times where he is shown to be a complete asshole maniac who even tried to kill Deku at one point, and times where they show him to just be this misunderstood kid who still has a lot to learn and won't quit until everyone acknowledges him. Everyone else, besides a couple of people, are pretty bland and forgettable. It basically feels like the show wants us to identify most of the characters by their powers instead of who they are. Hell, I still don't know the names of the majority of the class I just classify them by their abilities.
The art style is good and the animation can do some pretty impressive things during fight scenes which is always entertaining to see.
I like the music for the most part. Opening theme is good and the closing sounds great. Perhaps the one bit of music I'm not very fond of is All Might's theme whenever he shows up because it sounds way to cheerful.
I may have named a lot of flaws but I definitely am interested in seeing where this show goes next season. The quirks are interesting and the story does hint that some serious shit is in the works. The first season may not have gripped me into the story as much as it should have but I can't really blame it since it was only 13 episodes. Given a little time and effort I do think the next season can be something great.

You know I just reviewed the last Naruto movie a few hours ago and I thought I wasn't going to review this movie until a few days later. However, I can't do it. The issues with this movie need to be addressed and I'm going to do it now.
Now let me by fair by saying that the plot actually had something going for it and although it wasn't executed that well it also wasn't executed terribly. Naruto and Sakura get transported to an alternate universe created by Tobi where everything is the opposite of what it was, Naruto's parents are alive
...
while Sakura's are dead (I'll get to that later). They fight the main villain (which was actually a pretty good twist in my opinion) and get back home. The story itself was kind of good. I think the best part about this movie was truly understanding how lonely Naruto is. When he walked into his dark empty apartment and saw that he had no one to greet him when he got home, I couldn't help but feel for the kid. Hell, I almost cried for him.
Now let's get to the flaws
1. The alternate characters. Everyone is different in this universe. Some of these were done kind of creatively like Hinata being aggressive, Ino being soft spoken, Kakashi being energetic, while others were given no thought whatsoever like Kiba being bad with dogs (ok but if you hate dogs then why is Akamaru still with you?) , Shino hating bugs, and Lee being a…..cross dresser I guess? Even Sasuke is back and he's turned into a complete ladies man. Now here's the problem with the reverse character traits, they're too extreme. In the normal universe, the character traits are strong enough that you notice them but they're not portrayed so often that they seem overbearing. In this case, the alternate traits are so extreme that it's like they're screaming "LOOK WE'RE DIFFERENT!". I'm actually kind of glad that we only see them for 5 minutes because I was getting sick of them real quick.
2. As much as I liked the whole "Naruto has no parents" theme, I hate the way they introduced it. So the movie starts with Naruto and friends taking down the Akatsuki members they already defeated (how they were able to do this remains a mystery but I'm just gonna move on). When they all get back to the village they're instantly praised by their parents, besides Naruto for obvious reasons. This seemed like a setup to me. It's like all the parents got together and said "hey let's go and praise our kids in front of the one who doesn't have any". It just seemed far too coincidental and harsh to me. They were also saying how they were going to recommend that all of them get promoted to Jonin. Well what about Naruto? You're just gonna leave him behind? This entire segment could've been done way better.
3. Sakura. Okay listen, if you're a big fan of Sakura you need to leave this review right now because I'm about to go on a huge rant that Sakura lovers won't like. You have been warned. RANT MODE: ACTIVATED. This girl is easily the worst part of this movie. I could go on and on about how I hate her in the show but I'm gonna keep it focused to this movie. Let's start from the beginning. So everyone's getting praised by their parents but instead Sakura decides to have an argument with hers. Naruto tries to politely calm her down but she turns and yells at him for no reason at all. STRIKE ONE. Later that night she finds Naruto, takes him to the park and then proceeds to complain about how hard her life is because her parents are so annoying. Really? You're going to complain how hard it is to live with your parents to someone who never even knew his own? STIKE TWO. After Naruto finally decides to tell her to calm down she gets even angrier and starts yelling at Naruto again. Then she goes on to say "Sasuke would understand". REALLY? The guy who's parents died when he was a kid, the guy who's entire clan was killed, the guy who tried to kill you, would understand what you're going through right now? That has to be the most insensitive, disrespectful, and overall dumbest thing I have ever heard in an anime. STRIKES THREE FOUR AND FIVE. At this point her character was ruined for me. It didn't matter what she did, I was going to hate her for the rest of the film. But wait, it gets worse. When Sakura realizes that her parents are dead in this alternate reality does she feel mournful like any normal human would? Of course not. Instead she gets all happy and runs off to do whatever the hell she wants that her parents never allowed. Alright, we've all had arguments with our parents and we've all gotten angry but none of us, not even in an alternate reality, would ever be happy if we found out that they're dead. So after a few days, when she finally grows a heart and wants her parents back, she decides that she finally wants to go home. However, she sees that Naruto is really happy with his alternate parents and really begins to understand how lonely he is in the real world. I thought that she was going to go out with a high note but she doesn't. Long story short Naruto and Sakura get back to the real world and Sakura's parents show up. She hugs them and tells them how stupid and heartless she was and they forgive her. Here come's the problem. Naruto asks Sakura if they could hang out for a bit to which Sakura basically says "Haven't I hung out with you enough for one night? Let me hang out with my parents". Wow this guy sacrificed a life with parents for you and that's how you treat him. I understand you missed them but you have forever to talk to yours, Naruto only interacted with his for a couple days (a few hours if you count the time when he was actually nice to them). The least you can do is walk him home or say "look Naruto I know it's hard with no parents but I want you to know you have friends and you're like family to all of us". That would've been the right thing to do but no instead she tells him to get lost.
I apologize for the long rant but it just shows how one character can completely throw off the vibe for an entire movie. If Sakura was more sympathetic, if the side characters weren't so annoying and actually did something, and if the plot was revised a tad bit I think this movie would've been awesome. But the way it is now, I know I'll probably never watch it again.

I was trying to wait for a good english sub to come out but I just couldn't wait. I watched the last naruto movie that was fan subbed (quite horribly if I may say) and finally finished it. Now is this movie the "awesome conclusion" to the Naruto franchise that it was advertised to be? To put it shortly, no not even close. The movie isn't bad, not by a long shot, but it definitely is lacking. Let me take the time to say that I don't read the manga I watch the anime. Therefore, I was a little scared
...
that there were things that I either wouldn't understand or would be spoiled for me. However, what I really like about this movie is that anyone who only watches the anime won't feel lost throughout most of it. Not many things are really spoiled except for (SPOILER ALERT) Naruto and company won the war, Kakashi becomes Hokage, and Sasuke has the rinnegan or sharinnegan as I guess it's called. I think since I haven't seen the manga all of these aspects seemed 10x cooler to me because I was unaware of them.
The only problem I can come up with is that this is a love story. Personally, I liked the love story (which is saying something since I'm normally not a fan of romance in anime). They didn't just instantly make Naruto love Hinata out of the blue. After that whole dream sequence when he was inside her memories, Naruto began to understand how Hinata felt towards him and their feelings toward each other only developed further during the course of the movie. Side note: I'm not one of those people who was rooting for Naruto and Hinata to get together but I am so satisfied that he didn't get with Sakura. I hate Sakura but that's a rant for another review. Anyway, the real problem is that the movies plot has to ultimately revolve around this love story. Basically, some descendant of the otsutsuki clan wants to marry Hinata since she looks like Kaguya Otsutsuki or something like that (sorry but the plot was a little confusing since I watched a terrible sub). Anyway, the best I can understand is that this guy wanted to crash the moon into the Earth thereby destroying it. Naruto's first priority should've been to stop this guy from destroying the Earth but instead his first priority is to stop him from marrying Hinata because Naruto realizes that he really does love her. Do you see where I'm getting at here? Everything, even the main villain, is pushed aside to make room for the love story. In terms of a Naruto movie, that is where it falls short. Also, having the moon crash into the Earth is so ridiculous for Naruto standards. They were crossing DBZ territory when they came up with that. Furthermore, I found it hilarious that Hinata was at the center of all of this. Like I said at the beginning of my review, I didn't read the manga, but from what it looks like (and I think I'm right), the otstsuki are a part of the same clan as the original sage of six paths. Therefore, to think that Hinata, the most silent secondary character in Naruto, would be given a mission by the otsutsuki and have a key role in either the destruction or saving of Earth and the moon is just ludicrous. The main villain was disappointing too. This guy had no personality or emotion besides being a calm mastermind but goes crazy when things don't go his way. I especially found it funny when he and Hinata were having dinner together and when she calmly tries to persuade him to not destroy the Earth he throws a fit, slams his drink onto the table, and tells her to calm down. I'm sorry but who's the one who needs to calm down?
The other problem would be the fact that no one else besides Sakura, Naruto, Hinata, Shikamaru, and Sai really do anything in this movie. Everyone else gets about a second of screen time just so they can go like "look, we're older" and then they vanish from the movie. This wouldn't make me too mad but they even push Sasuke to the side. The man only gets like 5 minutes of screen time in total and that pissed me off. When I heard what this movie was gonna be about I assumed that Hinata was gonna get kidnapped and then Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto would have to team up to save her. That would've been way more entertaining. But no, instead we just get to see how much Sakura, Shikamaru, and Sai (who is easily the most forgettable Naruto character to me, seriously I keep forgetting he's in this series) have improved over the years.
So did I enjoy this movie? If it was supposed to be a complete love story then yeah I thought it was great. They perfectly executed Naruto and Hinata developing a concrete relationship and seeing them get married and have kids easily brought a smile to my face. In terms of the epic Naruto movie that they advertised it be, it falls drastically short. Not enough screen time for the other characters, a ridiculous villain, and a plot that sounds like Akira Toriyama came up with it (C'mon tell me the moon destroying the Earth doesn't sound like something that could easily happen in DBZ). I'll give it props for the fight scenes because it was awesome to see Naruto's new moves but other than that it was very disappointing.

Why did I watch this anime? Well I was on Netflix and I happened to scroll onto a show called Blue Exorcist. It told me that it was about a teenage boy who had to deal with being the son of Satan. Holy shit that sounds cool right? So I watched the first two episodes. The main character, Rin, finds out that he and his twin brother, Yukio, are both sons of Satan but only Rin inherited Satan's power. Satan kills Rin's adoptive father and Rin vows to kill Satan by joining a group called the Exorcist who are devoted
...
to killing dangerous demons. "Wow this anime is looking to be really good" I said to myself. Too bad it was all a huge disappointment and a fucking waste of time. The plot sounded like this anime was gonna be big shit but literally NOTHING HAPPENS. Rin is transferred to a new school, his brother who is already an Exorcist has to train and keep an eye on him, and Rin literally does NOTHING to come even remotely close to even figuring out how to kill Satan. It's all episode after episode of Rin either easily killing irrelevant demons or dicking around with his friends (who suck by the way but we'll get to that later).
I'm not sure how to classify the art in this anime. It's not terrible but nowhere near the best. I'd say it's more like one piece but a few notches better.
The sound? I never really payed attention to it so it was nothing memorable but doesn't take away from the overall experience
The Characters. Rin, Yukio, and Shura are the only characters who you should give a damn about. Everyone else is useless and annoying. Let's go down the list.
Shiemi: She's a shy and polite girl who's very socially awkward. That's pretty much it and it gets old real fast
Bon: This guy gets on my nerves. He talks shit to Rin and acts big all the goddamn time but he is fucking useless and a waste of space.
Renzou: Annoying NEXT!!!
Kamiki: Bitch NEXT!!!!
Konekomaru: Real smart guy but can't do shit when fighting happens
Enjoyment: If the show stayed true to its original goal then I would've had a lot of fun. The action isn't that good, Rin just swings his sword around with no skill and thats it. Most enemies can be taken down in one move because they're so weak. Comedy is forced, nonexistent, and boring. A waste of my damn time. A terrible execution of something that could've been phenomenal.

Is this show funny? No
How's the story? Nonexistent
How are the characters? Meh
Ookami san has a lot of potential but has major flaws. Every episode is basically filler but it TRIES to have some real plot deep down. To me, this show is supposed to be focused on comedy but it falls flat on its face. There's supposed to be some romance going on between the two main leads but that barely goes anywhere. Why? I have no fucking clue. The characters are pretty one dimensional and forgettable. They try to make Ookami san this tough character but it turns
...
out she's weak on the inside and wants someone to support her. At first this sends a strong message that you can't take on everything by yourself and that you need people that you can rely on but somehow they use this to make our supposedly strong female lead to look weak. She can be completely overly emotional and she was scared shitless when she was captured by those gang members. Fear is fine but if you're gonna make her out to be this strong independent woman then you can't make her have this scared little pussy side as well, they play against each other.
Now before I get people hating me let me say something good about this show. The art isn't bad and if the entire anime was based off of ookami san and her friends battling that other school, this would've been an amazing anime. Those last two episodes where everyone was getting kidnapped and there was this whole school war were really interesting and I wanted to see more of that. BUT NO, they save everybody, do absolutely NOTHING about the big bad guy in charge and then go back to the same old bullshit.
Now this is the BIGGEST problem this show has. THE NARRATOR WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! Jesus it's like she likes the sound of her own goddamn voice. This would only be slightly annoying if she said things that were important BUT NO. This bitch does nothing but say shit that has no meaning or purpose. Matter fact, most of the stuff she says is obvious shit that a two year old could figure out on its own. She also talks over the characters when they're talking so most of the time I miss a good chunk of their conversations. I don't know who's idea this was but GET RID OF HER. She's not funny and she's not entertaining.

Right now the show is 694 episodes in and, looking back, I have no idea how I caught up to all of it.
Honestly I think most of the reviews of what's wrong with this show are pretty accurate. I love it to death but damn it has some major flaws. A few good things though. I personally like the art but I know a lot of people don't. The world is imaginative and very creative especially when it comes to Devil Fruits and the creative ways people have been able to use their abilities. Read the other

reviews if you want a complete run through of the show but I'm gonna name a few things that personally bugged me/ pissed me off.
Things that bug me:
1. This anime has become DREADFULLY SLOW. Nothing gets accomplished in the episodes because its mostly based on the opening and recaps of past episodes. For example, right now Zoro is STILL fighting Pica. WHY?!!! Pica was no match for Zoro from the get so why are they still fighting? That fight could've been wrapped up in one episode but its been going on for like 5-6 episodes now. I feel like sometimes I can skip certain episodes because nothing is happening.
2. The wacky ass looking villains. Every single villain thus far besides the marine officials look like complete and utter retards. I'm not saying they don't have cool powers but by god they just look ridiculous.
3. No one dies in this anime. Well, correction, people only die in flashback. Ace and Whitebeard died but that was just to further the plot. Whenever a character has a backstory you can always assume that someone close to them is going to die. Other than that, everyone seems to be fucking immortal. You remember that bird guy in the Alabasta Arc who took an atomic bomb to the fucking face? HE WALKED THAT SHIT OFF IN A COUPLE DAYS!! How about that old man in the skypiea arc who got hit with Eneru/Enel's huge ass lightning beam AND SURVIVED?!!!! But the biggest anomaly has to be Zoro and the amount of blood this guy has lost. I don't care if you want to say "his determination drives him to live" or "this is an anime so things get exaggerated" this guy loses 99.9% of his blood all the time but always recovers in a few days.
4. Too many characters. You remember when it was only Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nami, and Sanji on the ship? Everyone got equal attention and we fully understood what each character was thinking and feeling. Now its a complete wreck. There are so many characters on the team and off that no one has time for any character development. All the straw hats are pushed aside and are mainly only around for comedy purposes that aren't really that funny. All the side characters in each arc do most of the work in helping the crew since they are ALWAYS divided. I'm not saying I hate these other characters since most of them are pretty badass. I'm saying that theres just way too many.
5. This isn't really a problem but its definitely one of the biggest things that bug me about this show. So in this world there are pirates, sea monsters, sky people, fish people, and special fruits that give special powers. Thats all perfectly fine I don't have a problem with that. However, the way One Piece's logic supposedly goes, only people with devil fruits should be powerful and every regular person in the islands that they travel to should just be normal people. If thats the case then how come people without devil fruits are so fucking powerful?. Luffy ate the gum gum fruit so he can stretch, but that doesn't explain why he's so goddamn strong enough to break a fucking ship with his foot. I wouldn't mind this but people without devil fruits, whether they be regular pirates or citizens, are portrayed as people with normal human limitations. Therefore, it makes no sense that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, or anyone else could be that strong just because they "trained for a long time".
