If you don't mind slower paced anime it is actually perfect. If you are a Shounen fan I recommend you don't watch it because you will only complain that not every episode has a fight scene and that the characters lack the cheerful energy that is expressed through constant shouting of attack names.
Sousou no Frieren is fantasy anime that properly feels like a fantasy anime, with a well thought out, but still very open magic system. It doesn't contain any levelling systems or cheating skills granted by gods that make the world feel like a game. Even if some characters are born with more talent

Compared to Kimi no na wa the story is a bit lacking and it is far harder to understand the actions of the characters.
Art and sound are again outstanding. I think I gave Kimi no na wa a 8/10 for story and 10/10 overall because I liked the Characters and could understand their actions, this time the story is only 6/10, if it wasn't for the art and music as well as ambient sounds and voice acting I might not have watched it to the end. The first few chapters I thought it's just a normal manga making fun of Lolicons, but it now looks more like something trying to normalize it. First it's clear that the main character is doing something wrong and her room mate tries to prevent her from acting out, but in the new chapters she is getting way to close to that small child (I think it was said she is 7, 8 or something) and everyone seems to accept it and doesn't prevent their relationship from going further. I hope this gets reverted, but it doesn't seem like it will.
Otherwise it's actually pretty funny ...

The Art of the Manga doesn't really exceed in quality all the time, but it's very good none the less. The Characters have beatiful designs and have some weight to them, but are not especially fleshed out sometimes. So far that all seems good.
The problem with this manga is mostly the story. It's hard to say without spoiling too much, but the story sometimes gets overly dramatic and cheap tricks are used to introduce more drama. As it's a story about a taboo love, it is bound to be dramatic, but this introduces bad moments into the characters lives without a deeper reason, other than ...

While the story is not the best it is still good, the art is for my taste not outstanding but stil very good and the characters are loveable. I very much enjoyed this manga.
I first thought it might be a typical mothercon manga, but i can say it's definitely worth the read for the last few chapters. The time traveling aspect was poorly explained and some aspects of the story seem to be poorly thought out, which is why i can't give more than a 6 or 7 for the story.
