Between the mangaka's obsessive self-caricature renting porn, the japanese idol seeking auditions, the stealers warning about their next plan, the self named "mad scientist" villain, the typical commercial, a super-robot statue, the usual Mu civilisation (always used as an excuse in the 80s) and everything else, it is a very nice parody of its time: the japanese 80s, the golden age of OAVs when you could rent those VHS in any video rental shop (as seen in the anime).
It was technically decent... for a TV show, too bad it didn't look more like an OAV from its age.

Enjoyment: 5/5 and 4/5 for each part.
I would love to read the manga. Sadly, the only works of Yûki published in France are his co-created Patlabor animations, the manga (partially) and Atom the Beginning. Minor titles won't get any attention.
