I like to watch survival games, I don't care whether they're good or bad. I just turn off my brain and enjoy them. So I gave this a try and... well

███STORY███

It's bad. Like really bad. Looks like something written by a ten years old for the big amount of stupidity and inconsistencies. Is totally impossible to take this seriously from the start. Just look at the plot: a bunch of girls (professional assassins who don't reach 18 years old) go to school. The only purpose of ... this is killing one of their classmates, who is totally aware of this. They take turns to do so and everything. The professor who gives classes to them (because for some reason they have to assist school while trying to kill someone, of course) knows nothing about this, and he's so stupid that doesn't notice that something is wrong even when the amount of girls that leave his class is too big. Then we have the target of the killing (Haru), who is so stupid that wants to be friends with people who is trying to kill her. Luckily, she has a bodyguard, who used to be one of the assassins supposed to kill her, but know she's protecting her because... because reasons [(actually, this is explained later)].

Then we have the inconsistencies. And I'm not just talking about how a girl can stop a bullet with a saw (which actually happened and I was supposed to take seriously), but other kind of stuff. Like, this looks like it happens in the real world (our world), but some characters have superpowers. For example, there's a girl who doesn't age. The show barely explained things, so maybe those weren't real superpowers.
Do you recall the famous phrase from Emiya Shirou "People die if they are killed"? Well, it doesn't apply to this show. People who are supposed to be dead came back to life because yes.

The killing themselves wouldn't be that bad if the girls actually focused on killing instead of wasting time. I don't know what is bigger: Haru's plot armor or the assassins' stupidity. They are like those villains from movies who can finish you off with one hit, but instead tell you all their motivations and plans, so someone can come to your rescue.

"Well, the survival sounds really shitty. What about the romance?"
What romance are you talking about? This barely go deeper in the relationship between Tokaku and Haru. I wouldn't know that this was a lesbian show if MAL hadn't told me.

███CHARACTERS███

Though I like the design of the characters, their personalities fall in archetypes. They even used the most third-rated character traits like split personality and psychopath serial killer. Luckily, the show actually tries to do some character development. Sadly, it fails.

Talking about the main characters, Tokaku is fine. She's probably a one dimensional character, but I don't have a problem with her. In the other hand, Haru is really annoying. Not only because she talks about herself in third person (which I found really irritating), but because she's actually too dumb to realize that she can't be friends with her assassins. And does nothing aside from jumping straight to the danger because of that.
If I were Tokaku, I'd let her die because she's asking for it in an unconscious manner.

███ART███

I liked the art. The animation was decent at its best. Not too good, not too bad.
QUALITY is a thing, but it doesn't appear that often.

███ENJOYMENT███

Well, I finished it. It was fun to watch though sometimes I had a hard time trying to guess what the hell was happening on the screen. But the "so bad it's good" type of anime doesn't really apply here.

███OVERALL███

I don't recommend this on the slightest. It's not a good survival game show, neither a lesbian one. Go to watch something else.

From the same dude who did Mahou Shoujo of the End (a godawful story), here comes Mahou Shoujo Site, a somewhat linked manga.
This is actually a big improvement after that shitty manga. It's still bad, though.

███STORY ███

Mahou Shoujo Site is like that kid from your class who tries hard to be edgy, but fails miserably. It constantly introduces shocking elements to make you think how dark and depressing everything is, but it barely manages to impress you when those resources have already been used somewhere ... else, or are clearly over exaggerated. [How am I supposed to take seriously a middle-school girl who had kidnapped an old man just for the sake of torturing him everyday for years?] Futhermore, characters take killing WAAAAAAY too lightly. I mean, c'mon. At least worry about getting arrested for murder.

Aside from that, the turn out of events goes in good direction most of the time. I'm not exclaiming "what a coincidence!" every page, and the mystery involving the Mahou Shoujo Site is actually interesting. Futhermore, is actually nice to see how the girls deal with the problems that the plot gives.
Sadly, everything loses its shine when the story constantly uses cliches, asspulls and the characters grow a plot armor. Srly, that girl should be dead FOR YEARS for overusing the sticks.

███CHARACTERS███

Though the characters are generally bland and one dimensional, the main characters has, surprisingly, a good development. She actually manages to do something for herself instead of crying in front of her bully. Aya is not a 10/10 written character, but she isn't bad.

Then we had Yatsumura. I like her, and even so I know that she's too unrealistic. Remember when I said that characters took killing way too lightly? Well, she's the embodiment of that. She wasn't that bad at the beginning, but then the author had the brilliant idea of giving her a dark secret. The good thing is that she has good chemistry with Aya, so they do a somewhat likable duo.

Finally we have Kaname. Kaname is a walking edgelord who does evil because I'm better than you. If he had a theme song, I'm sure it would be something from Linkin Park. Seriously, what is stopping this guy from killing his family? At least he makes funny faces for reactions.

The rest of the cast is so one dimensional that I can summarize them in one word: the emo, the bully, the transgender, the rich, the samurai, the idol, the busty. Probably they're exactly like what you imagined.

Not unpleasant to the eyes, but needs to improve.

███ENJOYMENT███

Actually fun to read. The pacing is good and the plot constantly goes forward. But you won't enjoy this if you don't tolerate stupidity.

███OVERALL███

A bad manga which is fine for casual reading if you are searching just for enjoyment and not an actual deep story.
If you like dark stuff for the sake of being dark, you'll like this (probably). It's like the kind of stuff that girls who call themselves "yanderes" would read.

This was, actually, my favourite show from its year... for the wrong reasons.
I'm not even kidding.

███STORY ███

To make it short, the story is full of good ideas, but the execution is awful. Everytime Hamatora manages to do something right, making you hope that the show will become good, it screw up EVERYTHING the next episode. An example of this are those episodes where a character dies. Is pretty obvious that the director has no idea about how to handle drama, because:
1-His ... drama is stupid.
2-Does a good drama and then fills the screen with jokes, so the sadness that you're supposed to feel disappears.
I swear I was really mad after that episode where X character dies. I was truly heartbroken, and then, the next episode they gave me a BEACH FILLER. WHY? The characters didn't even discuss that X died. They just went to beach. Mr. Director, are you sure you know what are you doing? I guess no since you didn't do this once, but twice.
Talking further about this death topic, every death is terribly handled. It tries hard to be something shocking, but it barely is because no character actually dies when killed. And when someone finally manages to die, the death is so forced that you end complaining about how unnecessary that was.

Relating other problems, this show tries too hard to develop its characters, but fails at the matter. Uses flashback totally out of places, introducing cliches situation to force you to sympathize the characters but... it doesn't work. It's not like the characters are annoying (they're not likable either), but everytime they tried to show me the story of a character I felt like something was missing.

Now, let's talk about the cringeworthy writting. God, I really had a good time with it.
I know that friendship is something, but seriously. If my best friend is constantly trying to kill me, then he stop being my best friend at the second. Like really, Nice has the worst friends in the story of Earth.
And characters constantly contradict themselves with what they want. Let's see an example:
[Character Z wants to kill character X. Character Y knows it, and KNOWING it notices that he actually hates X and sympathizes with Z, so he wants to join him now.
Y: Dude, I feel you. Let me join your cause.
Z: Great! I'm going to kill X.
Y: What? You can't kill X. I quit this shit!
Then Y beats the shit out of Z because the latter wants to kill X. The end.
(After this, Y hating X was never mentioned again. In fact, they endend as close friends).]
And how can we forget that time when A went to drink tea with B, KNOWING that B killed his best friend? Obviously, everything had a bad end.
And let's not talk about plot devices and Deus Ex Machina. They're everywhere.

But let me say something positive about the story. The equality stuff was really insteresting and fun to watch. Too bad it wasn't handled correctly, because a few episodes were pretty good by they own. Is sad to see such potential wasted.

███CHARACTERS ███

Nice: our main character. He's actually the most powerful Minimun Holder out there and beat the shit out of every villain with no effort. Has no relevants imperfections, and to be honest, he's a bordeline Gary Stu. At the end of season 1, the urge to punch him in the face was so strong that I was actually happy with that ending. Seriously, his speech about how people without minimuns shouldn't envy the one with powers almost made me vomit. Of course you wouldn't know nothing about envy because you're almost perfect, you piece of shit.
Luckily, he stops being a bordeline Gary Stu in Season 2 and becomes more likable. But his amount of plot armor is really annoying.

Art: actually a character you can sympathize with. Contrary to Nice, his Minimun skills were totally shit, so everything he gained so far was thanks to his efforts. Even so, he still feels bad for no having a minimun, which is pretty relatable. The fact that he was a normal human doing useful stuff in a world filled with superpowers made him likable. He was even husbando tier.
Then Season 2 happened...
Art started as a good anti-villain, clearly avoiding unnecessary killing and the sort, following the pattern of a nice dude that must do something bad for a hidden good reason. Sadly, Seiji Kishi liked the character so much that thought that EVERYTHING in the show has to be related to him. Seriously, he stole all the screen for himself in an annoying way. Everytime something relevant happened Art appeared, did something cool and then disappeared, because that's what badass characters do. When he became a Jesus rip-off (like seriously, I'm not even kidding) I knew that the character already went to shit.
In the end, he became the bordeline Gary Stu of season 2, competing with Nice for who has the biggest plot armor.

Moral: he was the main villain in S1, so he deserves a spotlight in this review. I'll make it short: HE'S SHIT. Cheesy as hell and looks like a fusion between Makishima (Psycho Pass) and Ukyo (Amnesia). He's the most generic villain I've seen in a chinese cartoon, and has an obsession with Nice, probably because he masturbates thinking of him every night. Nothing else to say, Hamatora is better without him.

Every other character is irrelevant. Too one dimensional to even care.

███ART (Insert pun related to the character here)███

It's bad in Season 1, full of quality and that filter is atrocious. Animation is decent at its best.

Season 2 is a little better, but not remarkable.

Music is not remarkable either, but the OPs and ED are good. The ost of the episodes is not very memorable, though. I'm unable to recall any song.

███ENJOYMENT ███

Where this shines. This show made laugh, rage, cringe and many other emotions that I'm expecting to have while watching a chinese cartoon. I was truly eagerly waiting every Tuesday for another episode. Yeah, everything happening in the screen was a mess, but an enjoyable mess. I gladly watch this again a second (or third time).
The best trainwreck of its year.

Only watch this if you like to turn off your brain to enjoy a show of the "so bad it's good" type.

I don't know why I read this. Lolicon isn't my thing and ugly geezers don't turn me on. Even so, I decided to read it.

God why.

There are times where I can enjoy rape hentai since it's fiction and the characters are created with the solely purpose of make you fap. That's why 90% of hentai situations are unrealistic and end with the girl begging for more dicks. Given the context, crying for fictional characters rights is way too dumb.

But this is another story. The rape is portrayed in a too realistic way. So realistic that I felt uneasy while reading. At the end, I ... couldn't felt nothing but pity for the girl. Truly an uncomfortable experience. That's why this fails as a porn story, because it won't turn you on even if you're a lolicon. You have to be a sick bastard to fap to this.

Would you get something by reading this? No. The story has nothing relevant beside the geezer raping the loli, so it's not worth reading. If you want a realistic rape story or porn, go read something else.

4/10. I'll give some credit to the author for the realism and the pretty art.

I'll be honest. Many years ago I found this manga when it nearly has four chapters translated. My tastes were pretty bad by then, but even so I rated this manga as shit. Why? I'm about to explain that...

Story: 2
Even if the concept of a zombie apocalypse is new, the originality becomes questionable when the first chapters are a copy/paste from Highschool of the Dead. Seriously, even the way in which the protagonist discovers the apocalypse is exactly the same.
Aside from that, the story is a mess for many reasons.
First, is full of plot holes. For example, in the beginning people who are killed by ... the mahou shoujo turn into zombie. Later on this doesn't happen anymore, and everytime people die they just stay like that. It's like the author have some kind of amnesia.
Second, it tries too hard to be shocking. The story constantly introduces new characters to kill them right away. In one chapter, the author decided to do a flashback for two character who lasted no more than three episodes before dying. Sadly, you're unable to feel something for some stranger dying.
Third, dumb plot twists and the author adds stuff because yes. Sometimes it really feels like he planned nothing. I don't know what this manga is about anymore because it's a mixture of too many things.
Fourth, fanservice is everywhere. I have nothing against ecchi, but make it look natural.
Fifth, full of tropes and too many coincidences.

Art: 4
From average to bad. Action and gore looks pretty confusing sometimes and many angles are wrong. Boobs don't work like that. Muscles don't work like that. I'd gladly show you what I'm talking about if I could.
At least there's plenty funny faces for reactions.

Characters: 2
The worst part. Every character is bland, boring and archetypal. I've read 33 chapters so far and I know NOTHING about the MC. His personality is still ambiguous and his character development is zero. He's nothing but and uninteresting potato.
Then there's our main villain. He's evil for the sake of being evil. At least he isn't boring like our MC, but it doesn't save him from being your average psychopath from a third rated show.
There's a solely reason which refrains me from giving an one and that's Akuta. He has a shitty personality, doesn't care about others, wants to rape one of the female leads and deserves to burn in hell for all eternity. Yes, he's a despicable human being, but also the only interesting character and when he's in the spotlight the manga gets slightly better. He's a better MC than our current MC, and I think that the author thinks the same since he's stealing all the show for himself lately.
You know that something is wrong with a manga when a side character made for comic relief has more development than the MC.

Enjoyment: 5
I gadly give it a 10, but I'm enjoying it for the wrong reasons. Actually, I like reading bad mangas like these where nothing makes sense, and Mahou Shoujo of the Dead suprise me everytime adding more and more dumb plot twists and shonen elements. It's unpredictable. You'll never know what the author will do next to make the story even more laughable.
If you like the "so bad it's good" kind of manga, it's worth reading. Otherwise, don't ever touch it.

Overall:
Mahou Shoujo of the End fails at everything. I wouldn't recomment it to anyone.
