To live in a world with apparitions, what danger will Araragi face?
The Monogatari Series is one outstanding series. The light novel is well written and the animated series is beautiful. One important aspect of Monogatari Series is that there are many tropes and themes where viewers and readers can enjoy. Monogatari Series provide a variety of interest and it will make the audience want more. What is understandable is the fact that the underlying themes in Monogatari Series make the series stand out.
One theme that is shared throughout the series is random act of kindness. This theme is important because it shapes people psychologically. These
...
random acts of kindness can vary from giving directions to a stranger to saving a person’s life. If a person is in need of help, it is best to help that person out. Even though there are more themes and tropes, they are all able to connect beautifully. Monogatari Series also have dark themes. These dark themes are used to portray reality and fantasy. To discover the truth behind the dark themes is to uncover the mystery behind apparitions. The saying goes: if there is light, there is also darkness.
Monogatari Season Two is the continuation of Nisemonogatari. Studio SHAFT plans to animate the whole light novel. There will be a total of three seasons. Monogatari Season Two focuses on Nekomonogatari White, Kabukimonogatari, Hanamonogatari, Otorimonogatari, Onimonogatari, and Koimonogatari. These titles are significant because they relate deeply to the story. For an example, Kizumonogatari, Kizumono means ‘damaged good’, but also ‘a woman who has been deflowered’. Monogatari would mean story. Based off the title, it foreshadows the underlying dark theme.
Since there is a sequel, the introduction of Monogatari Season Two provides a recap of what happened previously. The sequel started with Nekomonogatari White. Therefore, the story continued from Nisemonogatari time wise and a continuation of plot to Hanekawa in Nekomonogatari Black. Though, Nekomonogatari Black took place before Bakemonogatari. This may be confusing, but the timeline and plot is completely different. Araragi is helping out people with apparitions and it would be boring if the plot was to be linear. As the anime progress, characters have special appearance in certain situations. There are multiple characters and each character has their own arc. In short, each character is important to their respective arc. There are interactions among these characters even though they are not focused in these arcs. Although they are not focused, it gives insight to the character and provides development. What is given for sure is that this technique is smart and well used throughout the series.
Animations are one reason to seek interest in an anime. If the art work is great and the animations are smooth, most people would tend to watch it because it is appealing to the eye. When it is appealing to the eye, it is easier to enjoy the anime and not complain. One reason that makes the Monogatari series good is because of Studio Shaft. Studio Shaft tends to make unique animations. Unique animations as in great camera view, amazing art work, detailed background and effects. There is also a gag where Studio Shaft likes to put their characters in a difficult head tilt. This is just for comedy purposes, but it is indeed interesting. This can be related to paintings as they have their own form of interpretation. Last but not least, the characters are very detailed, the transitioning is beautiful and the art is crystal clear.
As the story progress through, the characters adapt to changes. The adaption can be either negative or positive. It is truly boring to watch a static character. Seeing a dynamic character can trigger new events. Having a dynamic character allows the plot to be flexible and create suitable settings. This is important because Monogatari focuses on Araragi and apparitions. As Araragi progress throughout the story, he will learn and experience new information. This is also the same for any other characters in Monogatari. Since there are dynamic characters, there is a beautiful resolve. The resolve can be either a good ending or tragic ending. As characters face an obstacle, they would have to overcome the experience. The journey may be short or long, but the experience is all that matters.
The character of Araragi Koyomi is notable throughout the Monogatari series. His goal was to protect those who he cared for. To achieve these goals, he has to fight against apparitions and try to help the victims face reality. There are times where people tend to seclude themselves away from reality. Reality is definitely harsh and not pleasant for those who struggle. What makes human the superior race is that humans overcome their problems and advance forward. Throughout Monogatari Second Season, Araragi has starred in most of the arcs and made a huge impact on the plot. Besides the fact that Araragi is the main character, there are other characters that are significant.
As each arc starts, the audience views a nature that a character has hidden.
“Anyone who has a continuous smile on his face conceals a toughness that is almost frightening.” – Greta Garbo.
This quote pretty much sums up the dark themes from Monogatari Second Season. Each character has their own hardships and it is tough to see them face their own problems. Characters such as Hanekawa Tsubasa and Hitagi Senjougahara have their own problems to deal with, but doesn’t show it until their respective arc shows. To acknowledge these problems, each character is related in a special way. Other characters such Oshino Shinobu, Hachikuji Mayoi, Kanbaru Suruga, and Sengoku Nadeko also has their dark secrets. The audience grasps on these secrets and expands their curiosity. These characters are brought over from season one. These characters undergo more development and thus the audience learns more about the character. There is also an apparition that dwells under the host due to their problems. In order to solve the problem, the character would have to adapt and face reality to overcome their problem.
The voice actors and actress are kept the same. This is generally a must since there is a sequel. It would be quite awkward for a character to have a different voice actor or actress unless it was meant. Nobody in Bakemonogatari had different personalities causing it to have different voice actors or actress. What is known for sure is that the audio is great throughout. The opening is normally made by the arc’s main character. For an example, Nekomonogatari White starred Hanekawa Tsubasa so the voice actress of Hanekawa would sing the opening song. It is unique and it requires money and effort to be made. This is one way to show that Studio Shaft is trying to keep the same format as Bakemonogatari.
The audio for Monogatari Season Two is great. The opening is kept classy with the main character of the arc starring in the opening. For an example, if Hachikuji was the main character of the arc, Hachikuji will voice the opening and have a unique opening animation. This concept was started in Bakemonogatari and was brought over. I really liked this concept and it was used beautifully in Monogatari Second Season.
Overall, Monogatari Second Season is a good anime to watch. It is a genre that all could enjoy. I am sure that SHAFT poured their hearts out to appeal to their fan base and the general anime audience. The story is worth following up upon and the light novels are a great read. One cannot judge a book by its cover until its contents was seen.

The survival genre is famous for piquing viewer’s interest. It is a cheesy way to keep the audience wanting more. Though, some might say that survival genres use the same tactics in order grasp the reader’s attention. It is possible that survival genre is scaling off since the last couple of survival genre wasn’t appealing towards the anime industry. The problem is that the main character throughout have an unbelievable amount of plot armor. An example of this would be Btooom!, Sword Art Online and Mirai Nikki. It is good to have plot armor, but not to abuse it.
Survival anime would be characterized by plot,
...
setting, and pacing. Plot is definitely important because there has to be tension built up in order to create a good survival anime. Without a good plot, the story would be unoriginal and the anime would be compared with. This will definitely dissuade viewers and cause the viewers to the ‘better’ anime. Each person has their own interpretation of ‘good’ and people respect that. Setting is also a huge factor in a survival anime. Having a closed setting can create quickly pace events, while having a vast setting can create a wide range of events. There has to be a rising action in order to build up the plot. This is why pacing is also important. If the pacing is slow, most viewers would get bored. If the pacing is too fast, most viewers would be left with questions unanswered. Therefore, plot, setting and pacing work hand in hand to build a great survival anime.
Dangan Ronpa made its debut when the visual novel was released. The visual novel got quite popular considering it was fun, interesting and unique. There were many options given in the visual novel. As the visual novel grew interest, an anime adaption was made by Geneon Universal Entertainment. Dangan Ronpa’s genre are action, thriller, horror, mystery and psychological. These genres are quite popular in most survival anime. It may be a problem that poses on Dangan Ronpa. There have been many forms of media showing these genres in a survival anime. One can say that it is using the plot and creates a new setting. Will Dangan Ronpa be good or suffer in disappointment?
What is Dangan Ronpa? Dangan Ronpa is a survival game where 15 high school students are chosen to compete in. The goal is to kill or be killed. That phrase is inevitably common. The twist is that only one can graduate and the game only bring despair to others. The players can choose to either adapt to the lifestyle or murder their way out. The school is cut off by the outside world and some people would miss their lifestyle outside of school. This aspect is pretty good considering the plot will rise no matter what. In reality, people would succumb to fear and will risk it all to survive. In Dangan Ronpa, there has to be a killer and the killer has to get away with the murder within a certain time limit. It goes through a process known as the court. This sounds pretty ironic because there is a need to keep ‘order’ when a bizarre situation happens. There are always people who break down when they witness shattering event. The court system in Dangan Ronpa is pretty much a jury system. Though, the punishment for getting the case solved wrong is huge. The court system works by the groups’ decision. If the people decide that the person was the murderer correct, the person is executed. If the person is proven the murderer, but wrong, all of the innocent students get executed. This punishment is pretty hefty and most would try their best.
While watching Dangan Ronpa, the anime adaption of the game was moderate. Turning a game into an anime takes time and effort. When it was decided that Dangan Ronpa will be a 13 episode type anime, it was easy to conclude that the anime will be rushed. There are decent anime adaptions of games out there. Decent anime adaptions of games are Amagami SS, Pokemon, Fate Stay Night, EF – A Fairy Tale of Memories, and Steins Gate. There are more out there, but these anime are quite popular considering how well the anime turned out to be. What is shared throughout these anime is that they have more than 13 episodes. The pacing for these anime is great and thus leads to a good adaption. With Dangan Ronpa, there is much information being disclosed in the game rather than the anime. Most anime adaptions from games focus on the true ends. There are certain routes and ending where viewers won’t be able to see. Normally there would be an OVA to view the story in a different perspective or another scenario. For those who want to watch Dangan Ronpa, it is best to try the game first and then watch the anime.
The animation is quite clear. The transition from game to anime is about right. It is excellent, but it is not extremely detailed. The colors are also amazing. It uses beautiful colors as you can see from the characters. Art now have to be appealing to the eye. If it appeals to the audience, then the audience would be interested in the art style. The drawings of Dangan Ronpa are clean and usual. Though, the setting is not as detailed as the characters. The characters have their own type of fashion styles that seems to attract viewers. Their style of fashion can range from gothic Lolita to school uniforms. Also, cinematic plays a big role in a survival anime. It is pretty symbolic due to the fact that it emphasizes on the main point. Cinematic also add more tension to the scenes.
The audio are about average. It doesn’t seem very fancy and appealing. It doesn’t give off an eerie feel, but makes the viewers curious. The audio should have been more dark and gloomy. Throughout the anime, sounds are specific though. The sounds made are there to appeal towards the audience and senses that something drastic happened. The voice actors and actress did an awesome job in conveying the characters during certain events. What is also interesting was that the Monobear’s voice actor is the voice actor of Doraemon. He is Nobuyo Ooyama. Although this anime is categorized as a horror anime, most would say that it is not frightfully shocking.
The characters made in Dangan Ronpa were plain. These characters have famous tropes that allow the author to easily write the storyboard. Although the characters were generic, they have a huge impact on the storyboard. Since it is a survival genre, some people tend to favor a character throughout the story. The ability of making a character based on popular trends makes it easier for the audience to enjoy these characters. The character development throughout the story is alright. The game was to adapt living without the ‘outside world’ or murder and get out of the school. Those two options are difficult because both of options leave the characters with guilt.
Throughout the anime, Dangan Ronpa was rushed and could have been better. The anime focused on the true ends (best ending that the game offered) and missed out on many information. Although Dangan Ronpa was rushed, it is possible that the visual novel grew more sales considering that the game was better. Dangan Ronpa is a survival anime, but it did not fit the role perfectly. There are unanswered questions throughout the anime. The fact that it was rushed ruins the pacing. Since the pacing was ruined, the setting and plot couldn’t comprehend well. In the end, Dangan Ronpa could appeal neither the survival genre nor the anime industry.

It is a man’s fantasy to always protect the woman of his dreams. Similarly, it is a woman’s fantasy to be princess carried by the man of her dreams. We all have wanted this feeling, but what struggle will we face to achieve this feeling? Girls of the Wild show determination to achieve what was thought impossible to a beautiful possibility.
This was the first manhwa I have read and I was amazed by the effort put into Girls of the Wild. I am an average manga reader and I have recently started catching up to manga. I do love the style of manhwa having everything
...
beautifully made and colored. I have a good experience on anime and wanted to expand to manga. While I was reading Girls of the Wild, I am certain that I couldn’t stop reading this. I wanted more and more.
Having to be the first boy in a newly co-ed school. There ought to be no problems right? Song Jae Gu is just your average high school boy. Jae Gu wanted to attend to a school closest to his house, but Wild’s high is the only option. Not only that, but he got a scholarship there. Why waste a scholarship? As Jae Gu enters his first day of school, life couldn’t get any more difficult. You could probably guess that misfortune struck Jae Gu. He somewhat encountered ‘Queen’ and caused a commotion. Jae Gu didn’t mean to, but he wanted to do what he can to graduate.
Before I start, Jae Gu’s life is hard. Be prepared for some feels. Jae Gu has to take care of his brother and sister since his parents abandon them. Not only that, but Jae Gu is poor and struggles to survive every day. Jae Gu hardly has any support. Since he doesn’t have support, he has a part time job at a car wash to earn money. Jae Gu tries to balance his school life and his outside life in order to take care of his siblings. This is not what an average high school student should face. I was depressed when I found out about this, but this is what makes the story good. It goes back to the topic of determination. Jae Gu didn’t give up on life, yet he strives to do what it takes. As Jae Gu enters Wild’s High, he also met people who he thought was a nuisance. He learned that it is impossible to graduate without a club. Not only that, but the principal waged an offer that whoever could ‘get’ Jae Gu passes all academics. As he journeys through Wild’s high, he learned a great deal to receive support.
The story may seem cliché (I’m talking about you Infinite Stratos and Rosario Vampire). The plot is somewhat having girls protect you. If you have seen those two anime or read the novel/manga, you would have a good understanding of Girls of the Wild. What those three have in common is a man who wants to become stronger in order to protect what is precious to him. Wild’s high is a school where you see the strongest fighters gather. Most of the graduates obtained high class jobs. There is also the Wild’s League, where the best fight for a title. We have to see the journey for what it takes to achieve that. This goes to determination as we see Jae Gu make his way to the top.
The art style is clear and it is beautiful. I haven’t been awed this much when I read this manhwa. It is colored, it is well drawn, and there are good facial expressions. Not only that, but some of the girls are pretty cute and they have their unique aspects. I was able to grasp that this manwha is definitely good after the first chapter.
If you are interested in romance, action, harem and comedy, you should read Girls of the Wild. The enjoyment level is quite high I would say. I would love to have a princess protect me until I am strong enough to protect her. This is goal that a man should always accomplish. Will Jae Gu be strong enough to protect his friends?

Throughout history, there are many myths and the topic that gets focused on the most is vampires and ghosts. These topics are controversial because they can’t be proven real, yet they can’t be proven false. There are documentations stating their existence, but most people would rather have firsthand experience to believe it. What led to this topic was the fear created by humans. We have a subconscious to think that supernatural events happen and we blame an oddity. Media however protrudes vampire is another essence. Vampires are seen as eerie monsters, but some may be seen in a different light such as romantically. A good
...
example would be Twilight or Vampire Diaries for the Western media. An anime example would be Rosario Vampire or Vampire Knight. A manga example would be In Bura!. These are popular titles, yet they don’t show the true meaning of fear. What brought about these myths is the fear created by humans. Is it true to say that we don’t fear vampires and ghosts now?
I am a sucker for dark themes. I always enjoyed watching horror movies when I was young and would be frightened. It is the fear factor that made me watch it. I grew curious and soon attached to dark genres. What I do like about dark themes is that it shows what the author was thinking and how the director puts the story into place. Soon my attention was brought about to anime. I was suddenly in love with the vampire genre in anime. There have been many genres for vampire anime, but the best would probably be mystery and thriller. Shiki has the genre of thriller and mystery and I believed that it was brought out well throughout the anime. The plot started within the first episode and the suspense started growing.
The plot started off beautifully. It shows a young maiden that wants to achieve a dream that could never be reached. This is important because dreams are far from reality. Not only that, but we hope to achieve it. This is used to build up a bigger plot, the myth of deaths appearing in the village. This is pretty common when you see many people start dying suddenly in a small village. Not only that, but all the victims have two small marks. They were assumed insect bites…What is there to expect except superstitions.
As hell breaks loose in the village, what is the possible answer for the massive death toll? The only solution is vampires. What do you call people that died, but rose to life again? What do you call people that hide in daylight? What do you call people that feed on human blood? The only answer is a vampire. The aspect of vampire in Shiki is the fact that each villager is dying, yet some are turning into a vampire. Shiki means corpse demon, but then again, it fits to the questions I said before. Shall humanity fall into the hands of vampire? Of course not, we shall be the hunters, not hunted. We shall not cower in fear and we shall fight against. We have always been the dominant species. As we journey through hell, Shiki was an everlasting journey that brought happiness and sadness.
There are many other situations beside the main plot. Those small plots are well put and they do connect with the main plot. I would say that the more I watch this anime, the more intense it gets. It is very dark and I enjoy the aspect of it. Besides the dark scenario, what else can we have by a one sided love? The love is to an extent to stalking. I feel as if I have to keep my windows closed and have the shutters on. Hold up; let me turn on my night light too in case. Besides that, we also have a situation of seeing families corrupt and how to adapt to changes. It is truly a sad thing to watch, but I have seen much of it already. I felt that the anime took the right approach that humanity must do whatever it takes to retaliate.
The art style is alright. I wouldn’t say it is amazing, but if you look at it, the characters look extremely skinny for some reason. The hair styles are a bit weird, but some are fine. The colors are beautiful. I do love the color pink and they made Megumi look beautiful. Pink hair is just to kawaii. A bonus was that Megumi has twin tails. Megumi was the only character that I find favorable along with the doctor. Her character reminds me of Gasai Yuno from Mirai Nikki. You already know… “Yuuki-kun” in a kawaii voice. It also happens in this anime too. Now only if Megumi was a loli too… The eye colors are pretty too. The animation is pretty good. I have to give credit to the opening because the animation is high quality and well made. It wasn’t what I expected. The scenes were similar to those from a horror movie as the flashing, the camera angle and the fading.
The music is appropriate for this anime. The goal was to bring out suspense and was able to achieve it. I feel like the first opening is impactful. When you watch the first episode, you want to have a good impression. While I was watching the first opening for the first time, I was amazed. The lyrics are suitable and it does explain portray future thriller scenes. The first ending took a different approach. It is a slow pace song which is my type. It is beautiful in its own way. The vocalist’s voice is good. The piano is beautiful. I have always wanted to learn either piano or violin, but I didn’t have the effort to put in. This is my loss, but I still admire great musicians. The lyrics for the first ending are quite vague, but it brings back to the topic of dreams. If you recall, dreams are far from reality. We hope that one day we achieve it. The second opening was alright. The animation is superb, yet the lyrics were unrelated. The second ending was meh. The lyrics are good, but the animation is like half assed. The animation is good. The OST is slow paced. Slow paced shows the horror that is upcoming. Since this is also a mystery genre, you would want to hear some eerie sounds. The music was able to fit my expectations.
The characters are ordinary I would say. It isn’t like those characters that are perfectly made. First off, I would like to say that almost every character in this anime is important. Even though they are not the center of the spotlight all the time, they will have an impact on this show. The show starts off with a dark aura so there would be misfortune everywhere. There are antagonists, but I don’t think I should cover it. It would be pretty confusing if I were to explain the aspects of the antagonists. I believe the protagonists contributed more to the story rather than the antagonists. There are four main characters that the story relies on. Each character is an important factor because we see the story with their views. One of the main characters is Natsuno Yuuki. He was forced to live in a village and felt that he was out of placed. Due to this, he develops a cold behavior and tries to avoid anyone who gets close to him. We also have Toshio Ozaki. He is the doctor of the village and has to deal with all the cases of death. I would have to say that his character is the one that brought about the fear. Ozaki couldn’t discover the causes of these deaths and blamed the fact that there are vampires. There is no solid proof… but the village is filled with fear.
If you like gripping onto horror, Shiki is for you. I honestly thought there was no ‘scary’ anime at all. I was told Another was scary, but it was alright. I wasn’t terrified as much when I saw Shiki. The expressions the character had was true fear. I couldn’t think, but the animations, the lighting and the disturbed radio waves… It was just too good of an anime. Another aspect I like about Shiki is the creative titles. They are pretty good and I enjoy the title scene. If you are interested in Shiki, you should watch Another or Hellsing Ultimate. Another is another great anime that shows thriller and mystery combined. Hellsing Ultimate shows the true power of vampires. Hellsing ultimate however takes more into the action genre rather than vampires and thriller. Though, they are both well made and should get a spotlight. Also, before you watch Shiki, it is very gruesome. If you are a light hearted person, you should stop and go find some pictures of cute puppies. This anime is for those who wants to see despair. I have always questioned the fact that humans won’t survive till the end. After seeing Shiki, will humans still be the dominant species?

Is it possible to say that money makes the world go round?
I honestly believe that money is necessary in order to survive in today’s world, but then people get sucked into greed. Greed is one of the strongest traits a human can have. If you have a valuable item, you would want another one. Not only that, but everybody wishes to be wealthy. If society corrupts from greed, would the world still go round? Then, there are people that are humble. I have to say that they would lead to a successful life style knowing how to find a loophole to live comfortably without having
...
to get sucked into greed. “C – The Money of Soul and Possibility Control” shows what it is like to see how money and society correlate.
To the famous line, “Would you want to make some more money?” Most people would quickly say yes and fall for the obvious scam. Living life in debt would make people really depressed and some would even commit suicide. Have you ever played the game Monopoly? It is great how you can start off with a small amount of money and easily turn that into millions within an hour or two. Sadly, it is fake money and money isn’t that easy to obtain. Besides that, don’t you feel like the guy wearing a suit, a top-hat and have a fancy cane is mocking you? The possibility of being wealthy is endless. With money, you can go out drinking, you can go traveling, you don’t have to work for the rest of your life, you can own property along with having a family and you can buy a nice car or two. The problem is what can’t you do with money? Money to some provides happiness, but for me, I don’t think so. I would rather live an honest lifestyle and not depend on anyone, but myself. This shows that you are independent and reliable. Money is just a leisure thing to have. You can still be happy if you’re poor, but won’t be living in a better lifestyle like the rich. Society splits into the rich and the poor. Isn’t it hilarious that money splits society in half? Everybody is able to climb the ladder to become wealthy. We all have arms and legs right?
“C – The Money of Soul and Possibility Control” is where you give your future for money. To break it down, it is similar to slavery. It sounds dumb since if you give up your life, you have no control, but will be a human with a collar. The protagonist, Kimimaro Yoga, was chosen to be an entrepreneur. He is a humble person and works really hard to achieve what his goal. Yoga’s goal is to work in a private job, have a family and a house. Soon, his world is flipped upside down when he was chosen. There is an alternate world where he can travel to and fight to gain more money. Since Yoga was forced to join this game, he is given a cash card that has a large amount of money and also contains an asset. An asset is like a companion that fights for you except the asset resembles the owner’s future. This is one of the aspects that I like about the anime. It is like your future is brought out and is able to communicate with you. Yoga’s asset is Msyu. Compared to other assets, she is unique considering she has a body close enough to a human and is interested in the real world. Every week, there is a battle waiting for Yoga. It is a fight to win situation. If Yoga lost, he would be bankrupt and face consequences in the real world. As the anime progresses, I have to say that the consequences are pretty grave no matter what. Seeing both world collapses just because of money is crazy. My opinion of this plot would be that it is pretty cliché. It reminded me of those situations of either you win or die. Other than that, the plot is alright.
The art style is clear and crisp. I have no problems with it and it is pretty cool. I guess you can say a modern version of this anime would be Devil Survivor 2. The animation is quite good and I definitely enjoyed it. The lighting and coloring is also beautiful. It displays the scenery and depicts the mood of the situation. What I like the most would probably be the fighting scenes. They are well made and use a unique style.
The music is pleasant. It isn’t annoying or dull. To be honest, they weren’t that high of a quality for me to download. The OST is fitting for the scenes they were used in. This anime uses suspense and brought it out pretty well. The opening is well made. It shows what the anime portrays. Money isn’t everything and shows how corrupt the world is at the moment. The music in the OP is alright, but the lyrics are outstanding. It shows an underdog trying to fight his way to stop the horrid game. The ending is alright too. It is similar to the opening and shows a guy running. The lyrics used encourage fighting over the darkness and getting to know the bond between Kimimaro Yoga and Msyu more.
This anime is great, but not spectacular. It should definitely be seen as for those who wanted to see those “what if” in action.

Amagami SS is one of those anime where I couldn’t decide if I should watch it or not. After watching a few episodes, I had to say that it was magnificent. You probably thought that Amagami SS would be cliché and boring, but it is not! It is nothing like your boring beta main character and girls falling for the main character for no reason. One reason that made me hesitate to watch Amagami SS is because it was based off a dating game. I didn’t expect a game to be made into a good anime. What can we expect of Tachibana Junichi?
To start off,
...
the plot is amazing. Each arc is significant in its own way. The staff made it that you can see what is happening to other female protagonists in each arc. It is pretty unique since each arc is another parallel universe. For me, if you mention a character, you would have to show some interactions between the main characters. It is odd to just leave a character that was highlighted. Each arc has a unique approach. For an example, some may have unique narration; some may even have unique concepts. You may think that the girls are somewhat going to fall for him in a cliché way, but I guarantee you that it is not cliché. You know that childhood friend trend? Well bet your ass that they made the childhood friend win and make it look good. I wished I could have explained the arcs, but then it would be long. The arcs can be related in real life and have some unique foreshadowing. The romance is great throughout the anime. I believe this is one of my favorite since it is kept short and organized. As of now, I can't really watch anime with romance that takes more than 10 episodes to develop a relationship. I'm not saying that they're bad, but I want to know more. There is also drama which I felt put a unique feeling in the anime. The dramatic approach is good in certain aspect and Amagami SS played it out well.
Besides the plot, the character development is amazing. An example of this would be a shy girl and a boy. Having a shy girl in an anime is difficult to build up plot and development since the girl is obviously shy. Amagami SS took a nice approach to this and was able to tie the knots. Each girl has their own insight. Since this is based off a dating game, it would be pretty awkward to have girls with similar personality and approaches. The flags that were raised were smart and were implemented perfectly. I guess you can say that Junichi is quite smooth. Throughout Amagami SS, Junichi is a great character. Being heartbroken is one of the worst feelings anybody can have. Especially if you were waiting for your date on Christmas Eve yet that person doesn’t show up. If that happened to me, I would never open my heart to anyone. Due to that, Junichi has a unique way to build up his character in each arc. Another thing I like about Amagami SS is that the staff didn’t make him change drastically (out of the ordinary change that doesn’t match his character).
The audio is amazing. It is very detailed. An example of this is when there is a scene in a classroom full of classmates; you can hear other people talk. This is important because it describes the scene and brings light to it. The OST is well put in the anime. The music is amazing and it highlights certain scenes. It is nice to hear soothing music along with a nice scenario. What I favor the most in music is piano and they did have beautiful piano plays. Music and cinematic plays an important role in shows. The opening is one of my favorite. The lyrics are catchy and the animation for it is good. The translation of the lyrics is quite good for a love song. Another great part is that each arc ending is sung by the main female protagonist. It is just like Bakemonogatari. The lyrics for the ending are well put and it describes the feelings of the female protagonist who sung it.
The art style is good for 2010. I believe this anime has more focus on the plot and audio rather than the art. The art style is not bad, yet it is not superior. Amagami SS is made in 2010 so I can’t argue and compare it to modern anime (2012~2013). I take art very seriously and I can’t watch anime with badly drawn characters or bad coloring. I can say that the art was still beautiful in certain ways. If I have seen Amagami SS when it was airing and compared it to the airing anime, it would be near the top. Besides the art, we have the animation. The animation is pretty good. There are beautiful events where I feel that are touching. There were great camera angles and such. The animations are detailed along with the background and such. Overall, it is clean and does not look like a potato for sure.
Finally, we have reached the conclusion. I felt like I should have explained the arc in this review, but then again it would have been too long. I already had explained three arcs, but then I decided to erase them because then it would feel like I’m writing my opinions with relation to life. There is nothing wrong about writing my opinion as it is for a review, but then I want to hit the point to why Amagami SS is a great anime and add my points. The romance is surely amazing. I guess nice guys don't always fail. I’ve enjoyed writing this review just as much as I’ve enjoyed watching Amagami SS. I’m really happy that there is a sequel, but I had to stop and take my time to write this review. If you found reading this review interesting and good, you would definitely enjoy watching Amagami SS (vice versa).

Who would of thought making friends is hard? Other than that, there's a club for that! Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next also known as Haganai Next is the second season of Haganai. For those who haven't seen Haganai, you should consider it. Haganai is a great rom-com. Haganai focuses more on comedy rather than romance, but the two mix very well. A brief summary for those who wants a recap without spoilers: Kodaka just wanted to make friends during his high school year, but he struggles to make friends in his first few month in school. What can Kodaka possibly face? There is
...
no problem when there is supposedly one guy and a bunch of girls together in a club right!
Another great year for The Neighbor's Club! Would Kodaka ever achieve his goal? Forget that, The Neighbor's Club will fix that. The Neighbor's Club started small, but it grew into a big active club. Kodaka is surprisingly popular with the girls! He is the only guy in the club with six other girls. As everybody in the group wants to make friends, the girls started to have feelings for Kodaka.
The shift from season one to season two made Haganai enjoyable. There are more spotlight of other characters rather than Sena and Yozora. We still have the same comedy, but this time around, there will be more of romance. What I like the most from Haganai is the jokes they use. They may be common, but the staff put the jokes in perfect timing with the scenario. A good example would be... instead of explaining it in words, have a picture: http://imgur.com/a/25P25 . Other than that, I wonder who would win in this harem genre?
The art style is pretty. I may be biased, but I do love characters that are well drawn with beautiful eyes. Anime has changed throughout the years, and I have to say that I prefer the art style now (modern times). The colors they used is thoughtful too (http://i.imgur.com/0GAJfBH.gif). Each character is unique in terms of art style. You have Kodaka, a dirty blonde hair color. In Japan, a boy with that hair style would be shown as a delinquent. It gives insight rather than having those out of color hairstyles like pink, blue or green (not saying that I hate them, but I do love pink hair). There are also characters that are lolis and moe is definitely included (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fsHFTZLxYM).
The opening and ending is pretty good. They have a catchy tone to it. The opening is significant because it foreshadows what is going to happen in season two. The ending is what I enjoy the most. I watched it during when the anime was airing, and I just had to watch the ending and then the preview. I just couldn't skip it. The ending is just cute or kawaii in it's own way. Other than the OP/ED, I didn't enjoy the audio too much. The OST isn't amazing. If I were to compare it to Shingeki no Kyojin, their OST is better by far.
The character are all likeable. People just have strong grounds to have a best girl. My favorite would be Kobato because she is the best. There is no need trying to argue over me. Just kidding; everybody have their own personal preferences. The character development from season one to season two got better. It shows more of who the character is and their objective in the anime. There are also gags in the anime which is pretty good considering that Yozora and Sena are rivals. Sena has the attitude of being the best, but Yozora tries to confront that attitude. Other than the main characters, the other club members are Rika, Maria, Kobato and Yukimura. Kobato and Maria are the lolis of the show. Rika is the mad scientist and Yukimura is the loyal servant. Rika wants to make friends at the club, while Yukimura wants to fulfill the samurai's code.
To end this review, I have enjoyed the anime and believe other people should watch Haganai. There are many other great rom-com, but Haganai is somewhere in the top 50. The enjoyment throughout this anime is pretty good. I watched it straight away once it got subbed. The jokes that were used were clever. I would recommend watching Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (or known as OreGairu) and Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru (or known as Oreshura). These anime are all similar as having a guy in a club full of girls. Other than that, there are clever jokes in each anime. All of them also have a romance feel to it. See you next time!~

When I was young, I have always enjoyed those Looney Tunes cartoons and the Disney shorts. Acchi Kocchi is one of those anime where I can go to my dentist's office and watch that without having any fear. Acchi Kocchi was able to show the true colors of moe and comedy combined.
You may think Acchi Kocchi is another rom-com anime with an indecisive main character with no attraction, but you are absolutely wrong. While watching Acchi Kocchi, it gave me a heartwarming feeling. Acchi Kocchi focuses on a maiden in love, Tsumiki Miniwa, trying to find her way into Io Otonashi's heart. You can say
...
that there are those lovey-dovey events, yet there are hilarious examples Tsumiki tries to approach Io. You can say the most famous romance line, "Anata.. wa .. wa-ta-shi ~ *wink*." was used and it even made me baffle in love. Even though it was overused, Acchi Kocchi was able to show the true meaning of "Do you want me" as a good romance line. The best part was that the scene has a comedic approach that it made me cry of laughter. A good example is: Do you know that character who cock blocks? Yeah, that character's in there. I don't hate that character in Acchi Kocchi, but I would definitely hate it in real life. It is hilarious to see what Tsumiki has to face in order to achieve Io's heart. Lastly, the episodes are kept organized and neat which makes me love it. I would definitely want to see another anime like this.
The art style is unique. The anime has a moe-style which you can say that the characters look very cute and chibi. The colors are simple and the animations are great. I love simple art colors and it reminds me much of OreShura's art coloring. Animes similar to Acchi Kocchi would definitely be Lucky☆Star and Nichijou. If you have seen either one of them, you should definitely pick up this anime.
The sound is great. This anime focuses on moe so most of the sounds are cute. The opening is well made and the audio is cute. The ending is what got me the most. It was sung by Tsumiki (I honestly think the voice actress did a great job) and the voice actress is Ookubo, Rumi. She was the voice actress of Yoshikawa, Chinatsu in Yuri Yuri. Listening to the ending was cute and soothing. It isn't like those fast paced audio, but a good slow paced with a good beat/tone.
Well, time to wrap up this review. It is sad that we have to depart, but I will be writing more reviews time by time. The enjoyment is very good. I was able to glue my butt onto my chair and not multi task while watching this anime. Most of people would probably text or browse forums or etc, but I had that on hold till I finished this anime. I even had pause watching the on-going anime to finish Acchi Kocchi. If you enjoy moe, romance and comedy, Acchi Kocchi is definitely for you.
For those who haven't seen this anime, but read my review, I have a preview for you to get you interested! Fear not, there are no spoilers and will never be in my review.

Shaft... just words can't describe their magnificence. If you have seen Shaft's works, they are truly amazing and one of the best animation studio. Bakemonogatari was the first anime I've watched when I came back to watching anime in December 2012. I've got to say that Bakemonogatari was a genuine work of literature and it was my favorite. The monogatari series focuses on mysteries of each character and explains them in a beautiful way. I kept telling myself that this series isn't the best, but I was sadly lying to myself.
Nisemonogatari is a continuation of Bakemonogatari and focuses on the sisters. Araragi-Kun has two
...
sisters: Karen and Tsukihi. As we already know, Araragi is a vampire and he has to the decency to help other people with weird problems. Who knows that the sisters even had supernatural problems? The plot was creative and wasn't cliche. Give a hand of applause to Isin Nisio, the author of the Monogatari series. I couldn't tell what this intelligent man was thinking, but I had to agree that his literature was one of my favorite. Nisemonogatari shows the relationship Araragi has with his sisters since it wasn't focused much on Bakemonogatari. There has to be some background knowledge if you introduced a character into an anime. It would be vague if the sisters weren't explained, but introduced in Bakemonogatari.
The art is absolutely amazing. I loved the way Shaft animated it. It is truly convey the cinematic. I'm glad that Shaft is going to animate Monogatari: Season 2 in the summer. To add more, their going to animate the movie, Kizumonogatari! The head tilt is what Shaft was known for and it was unique in its own way. The characters were well drawn and the background was good. There was a bit of action in Nisemonogatari and it was amazing. It was just the literature which makes Monogatari series stand out.
Since this anime focuses on the sisters, there are only 3 opening. The beginning is Senjougahara, but the rest focuses on Karen and Tsukihi. The music for Shaft is amazing and I love the way they animate each one. I have to say that Tuskihi's opening was my favorite. It was cute and it reminded me classical music. The ending was made by ClariS and it was pretty good. Other than that, Nise was well made.
The huge change I've seen was that Nisemonogatari added too much fanservice. I can say that it was hilarious cause I believe it was intentional and it has a significance in the anime. It isn't those ecchi anime without any meaning. I mean I can just sit here and watch oppais bouncing around, but the ecchi here is creative and symbolic. It is also to approach siscons and brocons. The monogatari series have a broad genre that it appeals to most viewers. You don't have to be a mystery lover to enjoy this anime, nor a ecchi fan to enjoy it too.
At the end of the day, I just want Shaft to take my wallet and my car and my clothes and my computer and yadda yadda. This is one of the anime I was interested in buying figurines and stuff to support the author and the company. The story was great, the art is superb, the music was soothing, and characters were likeable and I enjoyed the anime throughout. It touched the goal where Araragi wants to save everyone who he cared deeply for.

Tired of all your beta main characters? Well Mondaiji-tachi is one of those anime that has an awesome main character. It isn't like your typical fantasy adventure anime, but an action packed anime with good comedy. Prepare to join the world of 'Little Garden'.
Izayoi Sakamaki may be one of the bad ass character I've seen. He isn't as beta as Ichika Orimura from Infinite Stratos. Before I go down explaining the characters, there are two type of main characters; alpha and beta. Alpha main characters would be one of the main character that viewers would like and would be a dominant person rather than backing
...
off in certain situations. Beta main characters are characters that are indecisive and doesn't know how to handle an event. The current anime trend tend to have beta main character as some may see them cute. Now Izayoi is one fine gentlemen that was able to deal with many situations which makes me enjoy the anime. It wasn't rage inducing because I didn't feel disappointed in his decision makings. The only anime that I can see has somebody that is similar to Izayoi is Kaze No Stigma. The other characters like Kurousagi, You Kasukabe and Asuka Kudou are very unique. Having the anime explain the backstory of where these children came from made me feel that I was able to connect with the characters. It is significant because they're all from different timelines and each one have their own problems. Thus, it makes the title: Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?
The plot was great. I was able to enjoy it because of the action. It may be cliche, but it followed the light novel. It was sad that the anime only became a 10 episode anime. There are more materials in the light novel. The adventures the children had was great. There are scenes that were funny. There are scenes that are serious for those who enjoy the plot. To sum it up, the plot is where the Kurousagi asked the children for help to save their squad in 'Little World'. The children had to build the squad from the bottom after a drastic incident. There are many problems the children had to face in order to help Kurousagi.
The music was great and enjoyable. The opening was well made. It is by Iori Nomizu and she tends to have a rock type music. It seems fitting because you want to have that bad ass feel when watching this anime. The ending was cute and I'm sure those who watched this anime have felt that the ending was good too.
Overall, I felt that this anime was airing at a wrong time (the winter season). Many people hated the winter season and this anime was what kept me through the winter season. I wanted to share this anime with more people that haven't seen it. It is great and if you like Sword Art Online or any of those fantasy adventures, Mondaiji-tachi would be one of your interest.
