One Piece is not like any manga out there. If you can get past its length, and find the characters likeable, it's dang near perfect. One Piece is one of the only mangas that have had me pulling all-nighters just because an arc is THAT good. One Piece seems like a goofy pirate adventure, but it turns into this emotional master piece 400 or 500 chapters in. From the start, you're immediately teased with what is to come. Just from the East Blue, you can tell that the Straw Hats will definitely be on a grander journey than the one in the first 100 chapters. ... One Piece is a magnificent work of art, so once you get past its length, you're in for one heck of an adventure.

Do I need to explain myself? There hasn't been an anime that has the whole community in alliance like Death Note. It was a strong first 25, but after that it does tend to fall short. Those first 25 episodes tell an incredible story, where you don't know what might happen next. Death Note was my second anime so many years ago, but I can still remember every plot point even today. That was nearly 10 years ago when I last watched it. Death Note is just one of those animes that rope you in from the get-go. No matter what genre of anime you ... like, give Death Note a try.

With any Manga adaptation comes it's ups and downs. When comparing it to the source, this anime hits all the same beats the manga did for me. The action in this series is incredible, and some of the best animation can be found in these spectacular fights.

The story sucks you in from the start, but you stay for the humor and fights. The story from what we've seen so far is one that can go many directions thanks to its simple plot.

I never found any of the characters in this show to be hatable. Every character has their own goals and backstories that bring them ... together to be a great team.

I'd say give it a chance, because it only gets better from here!
