"You eat your octupus weiners feet first."
-Kaori Fujimiya, Episode 8

50 First Dates, the anime! This show began with much promise, and was interesting to watch, but just seemed to fall apart towards the end. It got to the point where I was hoping there would be an unfortunate ending. (the resolution provided was very unsatisfying)

One of my biggest complaints is about the two main characters, Hase and Kaori (I don't remember people's full names because more often than not, they're not memorable). They both start off as decent-enough characters, but they become annoying with time.

When I tried watching this OVA on Dubbed Scene, it would automatically direct to a porno site after 5 seconds. I'm serious. Doesn't happen with any of the normal episodes, just the OVA.

My friend at school told me to watch "the thirteenth episode" of Highschool of the Dead, saying it went beyond anything the show did in terms of bizarre-ness. He said it was an absolute necessity.

A lot of the humour is subtle, yet quite delightful.
The final episodes were surprising (well, not so much the last episode). It reminded me of the endings of Scorcese films like "Goodfellas", ...

Mixed Feelings
Klein: "Argh! Oooh...hurts in the nuts... kill me now..."
-Episode 1

No, but seriously.

When I first began watching SAO, I loved it. I thought it was amazing. Sure it had some minor flaws, but it was forgivable. Fast forward to the second arc. Never so quickly have I seen something be reduced to shit so quickly. It seemed to just down tone itself, going from a death game to fairies frolicking in the woods and whatnot. Everything that made the first arc so wonderful was nowhere to be found in Alfheim Online. I honestly couldn't even pay attention, it was so unbearably boring.
SAO is like getting on ...
