First impressions, so my first thoughts going into this was that this was was going to be a more complete story than the anime which stopped 3/4 in and so i read this to get the full package because I thought this worth the price of entry and to some extent it was because it a bit different from your usual harem.
Story, 6/10
Now I know that this is going to sound quite generic but please beer with me as I explain this isn't a problem.
So the story begins with are main character keima who kind of a outcast
...
that doesn't really care for much besides playing dating sim games.
Which In fact he's pretty good at you could call him a grand master of dating sim games,
So much so that he called the God of conquest.
One day he get a mysterious email which request him to conquer girls
Thinking this is for a game challenge he agrees.
In repose he meets a air headed demon named elise who tells him that he has signed a contract with her to find and capture lost souls which love are evil spirits which hide in the hearts of girls, that can only be removed by love.
He first refuses to help because he has no interest or experience with real women,
But than finds out that if he doesn't he and Elise will be killed on the spot.
So now he is forced to use his dating sim skills and knowledge to surprising effect in order to have these girls fall in love with him and get the lost souls.
So as far as harem story's go I thought this was probably one of the more interesting ones I have read.
Now I not saying it revolutionary or anything like that,
Like quite a few people are saying it is.
Because it plays out pretty much like most harems,
Except for the fact that the main character doesn't give a fuck about these girls and there problems.
Kind of plays out like a video game when I think about it.
the first half of the story can be summarized as girl of the week.
With the Main character using his skills to Solve these problems.
Which was for the most part the usual teenage problems,
Like my family I don't get along or I have daddy issues or I am very shy.
That kind of crap Nothing really that deep or thought provoking.
Except for a few exceptions here in there,
When they where fixing problems that wasn't related to high school students .
But how they handled I thought was kinda interesting and should get credit for trying to be at least somewhat interesting.
Although it still held back by that it's most set in a high school so your opinions are going to be very limited.
The second half is where it actually starts getting a plot and becomes more serious and focused.
Because when he helps a girl they forgot all about him,
So he can continue playing video games and fixing more girls problems without much of a hitch.
But now there are actually some girls that do remember him because they contain goddess in them.
Which are now being attacked by remnants by an old faction of demons.
So there are more higher Stakes now because if he fucks up he's not the only one getting the chop, it now the whole world and hell.
So as he continues this quest to find and help these goddess and there hosts he actually starts to find that he actually fully cares about this one girl,
That got to him and made him question himself around the end of this goodness arc.
Which I quite like because here we have some actual impact and it still going to remain because there no forgetting this time.
Then after that arc is done and dusted what do they do,
They actually go into more and focus on the main character with his issues and what not, that they hinted in the story arc previous.
It basically his character arc where the explain what his deal actually is.
Which I think is very interesting and they handled it quite well actually.
So to summarize my positives,
It is probably one of the more interesting harem out there,
Just because of how they handle it and also when it gets serious it deliverers very well.
It has some ok pacing.
But of corse there are a few problems,
I think the story shouldn't have been as long as it was.
Like they could have cut some of the girl problem arcs or made them shorter.
Because some of them took much longer than they should have.
Like I not saying it pacing is bad.
but a feel it didn't have to drag out as long as it did.
Also it there are some parts to it that kinda predictable,
And made it dry in those parts.
Another problem I kind of on the fence about is that even though this try's to be different from your usual harem,
It still get trapped in the usual pit falls that is a harem gene.
Because on the one hand it tries to be more than most harem,
But at the same time its still a harem.
Characters 6/10
The Main character can pretty much be summarized as a very loner like anti social person who just wants to play his games and carry one with his life and he kind of a asshole about it.
Which I quite liked able to relate and also he a lot more interesting than most harem
Leards.
He also has a very nice development as the story goes on he become less of a dick, starts to take an interest in reality and actually cares in a sense some of the girls he is trying to help.
It not like a complete 180 Of his character it just now he is a little different from before.
I also like how they explored his character.
And his reaction to his situation was pretty interesting as well,
Because he was so detached from all these people,
Like the girl drama thing is pretty much like a job to him,
It's ok next.
The side characters.
Most of them are just the usual types of characters in any harem,
Like you have a tomboy, school idol, teacher, the child hood frend, etc
There drama made most of them sightly noticeable and interesting for about a spit second, but sadly that's not enough to make them memorial characters,
Most of them don't develop past there stereotype and drama.
Except for a few of the girls.
All though that's because they are part of the actual plot around the end.
The characters interaction where quite fun to watch for me,
Especially when people start remembering the things they shared with the main character.
there one scene in particular i remember, that I found especially funny.
Is this part where this chick who has a goodness in her confesses to the main character in front of everyone in the class and shit hits the fan.
It just so funny to see it all play out.
Art 5/10
The art most of the times looks very poor or very unfocused.
There are some manga pages that look quite nice.
But usually the art looks like shit.
Like for example the background are pretty much little lines drawn in a very disorganized fashion, it like the pen or pencil got sick on the page or something like that.
It very ugly to look at.
It has this very upbeat moe-ish like style to it,
Like the eyes are like really wide and they express a lot of emotions.
It art style reminds me of something you would see in the looney toons,
Like this very cartoonish look but with a splash of moe in it.
I kind of like the character design,
It's moe which I kind of dislike in a sense but not this time.
Because it not trying to be overly cute about it.
So I found it more tolerable.
They fit quite well,
But I kind of wish the demon designs where a bit scary or threatening.
Enjoyment,6/10
I quite enjoyed the fact that this at lest tried to be different.
And that's made it more enjoyable for me.
I also really enjoyed the main character.
And really enjoyed the overall storyline.
Other than that nothing much else is worth mentioning.
Overall 6/10
If you really like harem then check this out,
Because it one of the better harem story's out there.
if your looking for a harem that's a little different.
If you don't like harem or moe then probably stay way.

Wolf's Rain
(Anime)
add
Recommended Warning this review may contain spoilers. First impression, so one of my online comrades is like a big fan of wolfs rain and also any other bones show in general, he was talking about it and I got kind of interest for checking it out. And Also because wolfs are like my favourite land animals. Story, 7/10 ... In a world that has been turned into a complete shit hole, There is a legend that when the world is about to reach its end paradise will appear. But only wolfs know where to find it with the help of the lunar flower, but wolfs have been extinct for 200 years. For so they thought that have actually been hiding in plain sight. A lone wolf kiba are main character makes his way to a city far into the north in order to persuade this dream. While there he encountered three other wolfs and the lunar flower girl. Though some events they all decide to Travel together to find paradise. So the story of wolf rain is one of those epic rogue journey, With are cast of characters Travel all over the place looking for this paradise, That may or may not exist but they're going to try to find it anyway. Which is done quite well when I think back on it in retrospect Because there a big sense of tension and danger with people trying to hunt down are group of wolfs and also that fact there are other things out there that can and will kill them if they get the opportunity. Like the hunter dude or the noble chick Good sense of world building as we find out more and how the world became like this. Like the noble class's wars kind of fucked over the world pretty badly Which I thought was quite interesting. we also see how people are trying there best to live in this post apocalyptic shit hole. Like for example there this one episode where this other group of wolfs that gets worked almost to death by this town in order for them to get food so that can eat and there basically slave labour. My biggest complement I could give it is that yes it is quite a depressing story, Even though it does have some hope spots every now and then. It still very honest and sticks to its guns. But that also to its determent as well. Because it has this one emotional state that it likes to stick to And if your not a fan of the misery Train it likes to ride on your going to get bored of it really fast. Another complaint I have, Is that the drama kind of gets a little over bearing at times, Like I understand that these characters have these issues and what not. But you don't need to beat people over the head with it. Like how many times to we need to be reminded of one of the characters mistakes of the past and shit like that. Other than those few criticisms it's a pretty solid story, Even for bones standards. Who are pretty infamous at fucking up storylines it has a very decent ending which had a nice little twist of trying to find paradise and what paradise actually means. it may have not been the most happy of endings or probably the most satisfying. But at the same time it fitted very well for what the show stands for. Because the idea of paradise slowly eroding into a shit hole again down the line is kind of interesting and the fact that the characters are basically going to repeat these events over and over again In a endless loop. Characters, 7/10 The main character kiba I thought was pretty cool, He kind of this prideful and acts rather rash. But he goes though his little development which was good. Like dropping his pride some times in order to live I also want to take the time talking about the over wolf team characters a whole. Which is what I am going to cool the main four wolf characters team wolf All of them start off two or three dimensional and they all have decent personality, But as the series goes one they get there developments as well. They have a nice little team banter going on as well, I do know some of the criticism is that it does get old and dry after a while. But I would like to rise the point that because it's somewhat formulate In nature. But that is the reason why they play off each other so well is because we seen there personal journeys together, we seen them but heads with one another we seen them interactions outside the journey they have. We even seen their problems and how they overcame them. And I feel that quite natural for what exactly the situation they are in. Also when characters in the main cast get badly injured or die, You actually care and it feels like it has actual impact. Which shocked me because I didn't think this show would get such an emotional reaction out of me. But what I think what actually makes it work is because that have such a really cool team dynamic and it actually is impactful because someone been taken out of that group equation. The side characters, There decent as well. They don't get as much development like the Main cast do that or have more defined personality's . But they do there roles well. But I have to talk the villains' I thought the wolf eyed guy was quite interesting he had a decent back story and had a decent Reason for doing what he doing. He was quite cool in a very nice intimidating way. But the thought the other villain it's that noble lady, I thought she wasn't done as well I would have hoped. I thought she was played a little to dramatic at times. But she was fine none the less. Art, 6/10 Animation looked quite decent especially the time this show came out, But it looks a little dated. It's has quite a bit of grit to it was well, Which I quite liked. The art style has this very bleak look about it, Which fitted the show perfectly like a glove. It also had this cool dystopian look, which I was also digging as well. Characters design look alright, I really like the look of the wolfs. Because they look similar to their real life counterparts, Well as close as they could get it I guess. Because this is anime and they couldn't be 100% accurate. Sound, 6/10 I really like the opening, It very reminiscent to some of the classic 90s Rock tunes I used to listen to while I was growing up as a kid. Also it's all in English so that was kind of refreshing especially sense for the most part I expected something in Japanese. The ending sounded alright but I personally liked the op more, The ost was quite decent. But sadly nothing really clicked with me ost wise. The ost was done by Yoko Kanno, Who I think I have mentioned before is some of my other reviews In case I haven't a few examples of what she has done ost for code guess, ecaflowne, and space Danny. Also only watched the dub so I don't know much about the sub, But the dub sounds nice. Enjoyment, 6/10 I quite enjoyed this show, Like I said before wolfs are one of my favourite animals and I quite liked this idea of wolf's going on this to find paradise. I quite enjoyed the fact that this show trying to think I little outside the box. When coming to these kind of storeys. I really enjoyed the opening. I also think as far as depressing series go this one of the better ones. Overall, 7/10 If your Looking for a emo like series or just have a like for the feels then probably check this out. If you're into the more up beat shows then probably find something else to watch.

0 Show all Feb 11, 2017 Not Recommended Warming this review may contain spoilers. First impressions, so my first thoughts where that is was one of those anime remakes of a classic manga and it's sounds some what interesting based of its primise. So I thought this would be one of those anti hero story's which I am a big fan of. Story, 3/10 Are story begins with main character hayato who has come back to his home town of otomo city,Which have become home for a mysterious cult and other dodgey dealings. in order to investigate the mysterious the story's of monsters in the streets and a Mysterious person known as the skull man who leaves ... a trail of body's in his wake. So from what you can tell its one of those anti hero story's, Which I am quite a big fan off. The story in nut shell is main character is going around town looking for information about this skull man , Gets involved in shit that way over his head that involved some secret evil plan etc. That pretty much the plot there really nothing much to it other than that, I mean I could go into detail but I don't think it worth the my time and yours if I am being honest here. Because this is probably one of the most boring, done to death anti hero story I have ever seen in my life, It's just so predictable and soulless. there really isn't much I can actually comment on about it, There no themes, no message it's trying to tell us. It just mindless action, a pointless mystery that I don't care about, and boring drama that you couldn't pay me to care about in the slightest. It's almost like when writing this they couldn't come up with any interesting or good ideas so they like hay good writing why do we need this, So they probably decided to look up some sort of check list for how to make the most bland anti hero story ever, Ok we got evil cults, mutants, political corruption, a generic moral protagonist, and last and not an bad guy who is a bad guy just because. Let's tick that of the list. And I know this is one of those re telling of a classic manga series or somethings along Those lines. And maybe that's why it kind of dated or bland, But that's not an excuse for having a bad plot. Like one example of a retelling of a classic Franchise done right, Is Cassin sins which even if you didn't watch the original, It still good even on its own and they actually used good and interesting ideas to mostly there full effect. So bottom line that the main problem that no one gave a fuck about the story and everything else included as a whole, So why should I waste my time or care about it. Character, 3/10 Main character hayato is probably one of the most bland main characters I have ever seen. His personality traits Are this, He is just a good guy and that is literally his entire character. There is Nothing interesting about him. He pretty much the done to death mah morels type of character. Side characters, They all have the personality of dry toast. Just like the main character there are bland as all fuck, Nothing interesting or different about them. It's just the one trait they have that makes up there there personality is there entire character. So there not even characters there just cardboard cutouts. So very bad characterization for the for the win I guess. Also the skull man character himself Is also the most boring anti hero I have ever seen in my life. Art, 5/10 Probably one of better things of this show. The animation looks fine very passable, Back grounds are kind of average. Very boring fights that aren't animated well or have good fight choreography. The style of the show which I would think try's capture this retro feel, But Fails in that regard. I don't really now what it is, But it just has this feeling of very stiff felling to it. Character designs are shit, And most of the characters look the fucking same, Half the time I didn't even know who who half the time. But I kind of liked the design for the skull man outfit, Because it kind of cool to me. Sound, 5/10 The like the opening song, Th ending for me is kind of boreing. The ost is kind of boreing as well, Like there really much I can actually comment on. Voice acting for the sub is fine. There is no dub. Enjoyment, 3/10 I enjoyed the op and that about it, Like a enjoyed a few of the fights. But other that those things there really isn't much I could comment in the enjoyment sense of things. It's just a very ber bones anime which doesn't have much going for it. Overall, 3/10 If your new to anime and you have nothing else to watch, Then don't watch this because it's not worth it. You can find it what this show dose better else where. If you like the skull man Franchise then maybe you would like it, But I wouldn't hold my breath.

First impressions, the concept for a series about a terrorist doing shit for reasons seemed interesting enough and I wanted to see what they do with it. Story, 6/10 In Japan where the economy is at an all time low and political corruption has reached it's peek. "One" man will risk life and limb in order to save Japan and destroy the root of this evil by any means necessary. His name is akumetsu and this is his epic story. ... So the story of Akumetsu is pretty much about a terrorist organization made of clones of some crime lord, who decide to try and save Japan from it's own destruction. Which is being caused by the corrupt and incompetent politicians which are in power. So basically the plot plays out like this there an evil politician of the week that he wants to kill for reasons. Like For example taking tax payers money for yourself or basically just fucking over the general population. As Akumetsu goes though this over these over the top but epic plans in order to kill seid politicians and expose seid politician for what he/she truly is. Which is done in a very poetic justice kind of way, Like for example this one guy who introduced some sort of pharmaceutical product that he said was for the most part very safe. But in reality it actually has a high chance of getting you very sick and can kill you. So basically want happens to him is that he fucked up in a car accident and he gets kidnapped and gets pumped full of this drug along with the other people trying to push this shit. And it makes his condition worse and he eventually dies from it. So it kinda gives you the feeling that your watching a 80s heist movie. Like there's a big sence of tension and a lot of oh what's going to happen next, Is he going to complete what he set out to do or will the opposition come out on top for this one. Other Than that you really isn't much to it in the main story wise. I could argue that it kind of a political commentary in a sense of how corruption can really fuck up any system and it sometimes take despite action in order for actual change to take place and people who want actual positive change have to go though all these God dam loops in order to get the smallest things done because of how knee deep the corruption really is. I also like how they went into the reason of why and how akumetsu was made so kind of the back ground plot. Even though I think it kind of bull shit. Like what happens is that this one dude has died which the main character knows, He finds out that he a clone out of meany clones that where made from the DNA of a crime lord who wanted to basically be immortal. So thought debate and discussion all the main character clones decide to continue with this cloning project with the sole intention of using it to save Japan. Which dose help explain why they are able to pull off some of the crazy shit they do, But for all intents and purposes I feel it to bloody convenient for me to actually care about it. Because let's say for example I have 200 clones of me living in nz, Which I remind you is a very small country it's quite similar to Japan in size. The chances of me ever meating one of these clones has pretty low odds of ever happening. So the fact that he met one of these clones and later on all of them is kind of bull shit to me. Yes I understand that this is kind of nit picking but I just wanted to get that out of,the way. But now it time to move on to the actual criticism. It's so batshit insane that you really can't take it seriously, Because in all honesty this is shlock if I have ever seen it. But you know what it high grade shlock and it honest which is better I guess. Characters, 6/10 The main character I like it kind of relaxed personality and he kind of a badass in a sense, Because he so unassuming as a person and then he turns around and dose all this crazy shit. Which is great because it nice to see that contrasts to his normal life and to the terrorist persona that he maintains. Because like one minute he all chill and then the next minute he cracking skulls and kicking ass. One problem I did have with him is that he is a pretty much a group at clones at this point so he very doesn't have a sense of identity. Because he quote on quote dies so much that you really can't care about what happens to him because he still alive as long as there are still clones around. Also talking about the cloning thing that rises big question as what happens when the clones die, do they get transferred to a new body right as rain or do they actually die and only there memories are just transferred. So basically the main character is a hive mind at this point. Which leaves me with more questions than answers. Because I don't think they addressed the fact that he has no sense of self anymore because he a human hive mind and all that shit. Side characters, Are ok, They all do there parts well. But at the end of the day there just the usual characters you see in any setting with a high school included. But a special mention to the politicians, They are probably one of the most one dimensional villeins I have ever seen in my life Like God dam there no reason to relate or no reason given why they went down this path. There just there to be hated which is great for me, because when they all get killed I am just laughing my ass off and it Gave me great glee when they thought they where going to stop akumetsu or had thought they where going to live. But then fail so hard and all that hope just goes away and is replaced with pure fear. So great. Art, 6/10 The artwork is kind of patchy and all over the place, They use a lot of dark lines. The death scenes are actually quite well done and detailed enough to get the picture. It was this very gritty style to it and it goes very well with the over the top tone. That the series has a whole. The character designs are ok, Nothing really special here. Except I really like the main character terrorist persona look, It reminds me of zero from code geass except if it was a bit more edger. Enjoyment, 7/10 I really found this really entertaining, Because it's over the top, it bloody as all hell. And It has this atmosphere which I really like. I also liked the over the top death scene, There just chaos and destruction every where. Like rooms full of dead people all over the place, Places on fire. Overall, 6/10 If you're looking for something over the top and gory then check out akumetsu then. If you want something more serious and down to earth then probably look else where.

Black Bullet
(Anime)

Not Recommended
Warning this review may contain spoilers.
First impressions: So Black Bullet… we’ve got monsters and we’ve got people trapped in the walled off city. Does any of these things ring a bell? No? Ok. Story 4/10: So Black Bullet. The premise of Black Bullet to me seems like they just copied and pasted elements from other shows- cough attack on titan cough blue gender. Basically, there is a virus that turns people into monsters and what’s left of humanity is in a walled off city. So one problem I had with this show right off the bat is the setting it takes place in. The world the story takes ... place in paints this epic picture of where humanity is close to extinction and every day is a fight for survival. There is a virus that turns people into monsters that are "apparently “ beyond human imagination because it seems that giant moths and spiders are apparently beyond human imagination, that kill other people. Humanity’s only hope is the brave warriors that fight these monsters every day. Now probably judging from what I have said about the world this takes place in, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “why is this a problem for me?”. Well if you have asked yourself that question then I will tell you. Because while watching this show I never saw any actual survival going on. Despite how the monsters are apparently this huge danger to humanity and have killed off most of the human population everything in this world seems to be like our world except for the virus that turns people into monster. What's left of the human race is now living in walled off city going about life like nothing ever changed. There are even schools and shops that are open that people go to. You are probably going to argue “well the schools are there to train those you will fight the monsters right?”. Well if you thought that then I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong. They’re just normal schools. Because that's what we need in our post-apocalyptic setting… schools. So basically it is just another light novel version of a post apocalypse. Another problem I had with this is show is that it couldn't seem to keep a consistent tone going. For example, the tone of this show seems to swing back and forth from dark and edgy, to school life to fan service with little girls- and yes you did read right. Fan service with little girls trying to get on the main character’s D. One thing I did find funny was this shows attempt to be mature and taken seriously with the whole concept of super loli discrimination. Despite the reason for the super loli discrimination being very forced and seems only to be used for shock factor. It also is used to make the protagonist look like a hero who treats his super lolis with love and respect while the rest of society tries to kill them every chance they get, even though the only reason they are still alive is because they’re super lolis. Wait… so what you’re telling me that these people are pretty much throwing away their only hope of survival? They must be very dumb to do that. I mean assume that these people were actually trying to survive, you would think that they would try and figure out exactly what would help them survive. It is like if an army person were to throw away his gun in the middle of a fire fight. But of course we can't have actual good writing; rather, we have to make sure that these little girls are victims and suffer. Now If you’re wondering about the actual storyline and what not, it’s pretty generic and unoriginal. It basically boils down to shit happens and main character has to fix it. And there is some sort of government conspiracy that you don't give a fuck about. Characters 3/10: The main character is pretty much a passive bland character that has nothing interesting and the only thing that makes him different from the rest of the character is that he is nice to his lolis and tries to make the world a better place for his super loli harem. Even though he not really trying that hard to do that. The side characters are very bland and nothing interesting about. They are pretty much cardboard cutouts of light novel stereo types. Which aren't even that good any way. Art 6/10: Now, for the most part, the animation was fine. But this show had some very bad CG animated scenes. The backgrounds look pretty cool but that was about it. Sound 4/10: The OST for this is very forgetable. It's OP also rip-offs Attack on Titan’s OP, for some reason. The OST was done by Shiro Sagisu who worked on Attack on Titan, Berserk Golden Age movies, and Bleach. Enjoyment 4/10: The only thing I enjoyed about it was the loli discrimination thing. This is like racism to lolis which I found quite funny at times. I am like “oh this is racism towards lolis, I never thought that could happen but it did”. Despite the fact, that the reason for this was very forced and superficial. Overall 4/10: So overall, if you are a loli-con or some kind of pedo then this is the anime for you. However, if you looking for a good post-apocalyptic show then you won't find it here.

First impressions, in my life time I have gone through many challenges and trials, Each more difficult than the last. But none could prepare me for this mighty challenge that took all my shounen nakama willpower to face, And that is watch gintama a shounen I think is over hyped as fuck. Quick side note I going to talk about the series as a whole so It includes all ginmata 2014 and 2017 shit because I am pretty sure seen enough to see where it going. Story, 6/10 ... In a world where 19th century Japan was "visited" by aliens and technology has jumped light years ahead of it time as a result. Join Gintoki Sakata a former rouge samurai war veteran who dose odd jobs in order that pay the rent on time which doesn't happen very often. If I where describe the story Of gintama as a whole, I would probably conpare it to a calm in the storm. What I mean of this you ask? By calm I mean that 85% of the actual story are mostly focused on episodic comedy that manly relines on shounen manga and Japanese culture references for its jokes. Which for the most part I didn't find very funny. Like there few episodes that made to laugh, For example the one with the turtle assassin and that ep where the one of the cop characters is looking for a place to smoke and my personal favorite so far was the one with the pen friend with the nerdy guy and the nerdy chick. I thought those episodes where pretty funny, but other than those examples I was bored to tears and nearly wanting to punch my computer screen to try and end my boredom and suffering. The storm Which i was referring to earlier is what the other 15% of the story is focused on. Which in my opinion made this show more likable for me personality. Is the parts where there very serious and shit is going down. Which honestly blew me away. First for shounen standards these serious arcs are amazing like this took be back to my younger years when I used to watch Action movies a lot with hype and excitement. I mean this pretty much had the cream of the crop, It had An interesting setting which breeds so much potential, it has the back story's and character relations which helps to care when shit hits the fan, badass fights which mixes samurai with aliens and massive space battle ships, it has the tension and the drama. So what could possibly go wrong. Well there is the thing where it basically pisses away most of it story telling potential on episodic bull shit, And for those asking yes I understand that all series not matter how serious it gets dose need a few cool moments every now and then especially in action shounen like this. But in all honesty it also what's really holding it back, Like when It actually has a story and it being serious and what not. it actually very good. For example the Shinsengumi Crisis arc or the Yoshiwara in Flames arc, Those arc showed me that when gintama really wants to it can tell a good story. If I am being Completely honest That is what makes me feel bad for the story in general because it's not reaching its full potential, It has all these ingredients and doesn't even use half of them to its full effect. It's a battle shounen when you strip it to its most basic components and it never wants to fully commit to that or build itself up like say for example yu yu hakasho. So in conclusion I think mostly the story is mostly bullshit with a few good arcs that more than makes up for the shit you have to sit through. Characters, 6/10 The main character Gintoki I think is quite cool-ish, I mean at lest he not another teenager protagonist. I would describe his personality like the story the calm before the storm, Generally he very selfish, prevcnted and pretty chill about everything. But when shits hits the fan you see more of his more intense nature. I like his back story, I think it's quite interesting and probably one of the few highlights of this show. Side characters, They all have a sense of personality and they all there gimmicks. Some of them develop but its mostly the core cast. But The rest are kind of throw away most of them just stays to there gimmicks, Like a fly on dog shit So all freshness dies pretty quickly. Also most of the time I forgot most of characters that actually existed. I had continue to reminding myself who these people are and what they do, But that could be because of the big cast of characters and also the fact that most of these characters I don't give a fuck about. I think the character interactions where quite fun to watch. It almost like watching a big family interacting or some sort of gang with very close bonds to each over. So that quite nice because it give you a reason to care. Art, 6/10 The animtion is fine, it gets more detailed and shiney as the shows goes along. The fight scenes are quite nice there some very good sword battles. It has a usual style for most shounen, Like for example naruto and dragon ball Z. It has that feel and look similar to those shows. The character design look interesting enough, I really like the robot chick design because it reminds me of chobitts. Some of the alien design could be better though, Like with some of these designs I thinking to myself that the person who made this was smoking some high quality shit. For example there this one race that looks exactly like Humans but the where duck costumes and eat old Nintendo games with rice. Sound, 6/10 Sense this is a old running shounen it has a lot of op and ending, Which for the most part I thought where ok. Nothing much really stands out for me much, except for op 5, 10 , 12 which I quite liked. The ost was fine as well. But nothing really got my interest. There is something here that are worth a quick listen. Ost was done by some random company which I didn't know about intill writing this review. Enjoyment, 5/10 When it comes to enjoyment, this was a very mixed bag for me. Because for the first 100 ep I was pretty much forcing myself to watch it, Like I was just so bored. There where a few episodes which keeped me entertained like the examples I mentioned earlier. But when it's actually serious it's very good and I am very much entertained and even falling for some of the show charm. So I hate it lest than I thought I would. Overall, 6/10 I would like to state that This show is way to over hyped. if your in your shounen phase then I guess I can recommend this to you, But just word to the wise it not as good as the hype makes it out to be. If your out of your shounen phase then probably stay away unless you want to try watch a shounen again to change it up. so my advice watch the first 30 ep and if you don't like it then probably leave it alone.

Mixed Feelings
Cardcaptor Sakura anime review.
Warring this review may contain spoilers. First impressions, when looking back as my years as a child. I realize that I had actually all ready watching anime. Of course at the time I didn't realize that I was watching anime. And this show was one of them. After getting into anime officially I decided to take a trip down memory lane and finish a show from my childhood. ... Story,5/10 Are story begans with sakura kimomoto a 10 year old girl who is just liveing for life to the fullest. But one day while cleaning her father study. She comes across a mysterious book which she opens, Which contains a set of magic cards called the clow While trying to figure out what they are she accidentally spreads them across the world which a magic wind. Awakening the garden kero who tasks Sakura to get the clow cards back before they cause chaos and the worse case scenario the end of the world. Now to be honest here my experience with the magical girl genre is kind of limited at best because I Only seen 3 show so far this included. But aside that. The Main plot is pretty basic and bare bones. It's essentially Card of the week adventures. with sakura and co finding the cards and stoping them from causing to much chaos as possible, While sakura is dressing up In different outfits. Which is perfectly fine if your a child or a young adult and you just want to watch this as Saturday morning cartoon fluff. Because it pretty straight forward In plot and story telling. Because you pretty much guess what going on or what's going to happen. Like for example sakura older brother who she kind of doesn't get along with all the time, Who Just happens to have a part time jobs near the area of where Sakura and a clow card are in the near by area. Of course I am not saying that it's so simple that even an adult can't like this show, Because even though it is very painfully simple and pretty predictable there is quite a bit of adult context to it. Especially when you get into the whole back ground plot that also going On. Like for example in one episode we find out that this girl in sakura class who has a crush on a teacher who actually also share those feelings as well. Along with a bunch of other weird things the throw In as well, which you will probably pick up on very quickly. Of corse this being the kind of story it is. It takes these kind of mature situations at face value and kind of cherry picks them to make these situations more innocent than they actually seem. Which kind of makes the show a bit more interesting. Than just your run of the mill kids show And it's quite nice for the story to try and maintain its child like innocence while giving slight winks to adult viewers. Which should be given credit. But there are quite a few issues I did have with the story. Even though it has this over arcing plot going down with a bunch of other things in the back ground and even makes you feel it's going to build up to something good. But The actual conclusions are pretty week over all and doesn't really manage to build up itself well. Although at this point I was watching it more for the kinky romances and the actual core story. Because it actually had progression and I was kind of getting bored with the whole card thing. It also didn't help that most of the time the where repeating the same thing. Over and over again in till it loses most of its punch. I thought there would be a bit more variety is what I am trying to say. Characters,6/10 Sakura I thought she was a fine character. Because she actually acted like a kid her actual age. She was very hopeful and innocent and always wanted to help people. Of corse she not best main character. But for what she is in she fine. The side characters where all fine. There really isn't that much special or note worthy Especially when compared to other casts I have seen. They all have ok personality and I can actually tell the characters apart. Although the characters are pretty basic. The only thing that actually note worthy is pretty much how none of them gives a fuck about sexuality and if they feel something for someone they go for it no question asked. Which I think is actually interesting and a very mature take on that. Because they don't actually don't draw much attention to it and they just let it play out as is. Also because of this fact the character interactions can get a little weird at times. I wasn't bothered by it. But it can get kind of get a little to touchy at times. Like you have this one scene with this one women who loved the main character dead mother and kind of hates the main character father for giving her the best years of her life before she died. And I thought that was pretty intense and something you don't she very often. Art,6/10 The animation looks quite nice actually even though it quite dated by today standards, But I think that also a plus because it doesn't look to bright and shiny like you get quite a few magical girl shows, Because To be honest some of those shows animation can get a bit to bright for my liking. It has this nice cute look to it, Which isn't to much in your face and doesn't over step it's welcome, It just presented as is and I like that more than something trying to be overly cute, Because I can only handle so much kawaii at a time before my power core burns out from to much kawaii. I like the character designs, Because I quite like this kind of old school shoujo designs. Sound, 5/10 I liked the first op because it was energetic and quite relaxing, But the rest didn't really stand out to me. Like it not bad because it fits very well with the show, But it doesn't really click with me. The ost was fine nothing really did stick out, It was done by Takayuki Negishi , Who also worked on Tokyo mew mew, Tokyo maijin, card fight vanguard. I liked both the dub and the sub, Because there ok. Enjoyment, 5/10 I actually enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. Because it was relaxing and very light hearted which was kind of something I haven't watched in a while, So I enjoyed the change of pace. I also enjoyed that it. Handled it's self in a mature way. Overall, 6/10 Now if your looking for a show that you can kick back and relax with the kids then probably check this show out, because it pretty much a standard magical girl show, But with more of an adult context to it. If you don't like clamp and shoujo type shows then probably stay clear.

Mixed Feelings Warning this review may contain spoilers. First impression, I never thought it would be possible that there was a show that I actually was looking forward to 100%. And it actually gave me exactly what I wanted. Story,6/10 Over 100 years ago, ... a sport was played With skill and honer, so many have played Only the mightiest of Warriors have played this sport. They risked there very lives and dreams in order to be the best, The fallen would be Crushed and forgotten, But the winners would have there names and deeds sung though the very halls of VALHALLA itself. But where not talking about that sport, We are talking about a sport that is way more important. The sport named kejio where girls fight in a pool only using them tites and ass as weapons of battle. Basically a mix between dead or alive extreme and water polo. Join Nozomi Kaminashi a very talented gymnast who plans to fight her way to the top in order to get her family out of poverty, While making new friends and meeting new rivals on her path to becoming a kejio master. So as a lot of you can guess this is probably one of the most ridiculous premises for a story I have ever heard of to date, And despite all that it actually decent for a story which I have to turn off my Brain for in order to watch it, Now I am also not saying that's its savor of anime or it's the cancer of anime like a lot of people are saying it is, Although I feel that those take those stances are kind of loosening the point of it. But if I am being completely honest the only thing this saved me from was my complete boredom because watching this anime season was draining. But the story for all intents and purposes kejio is of its self is just one giant meme a joke. Which doesn't require much thought than the usual, oh look there dong something over the top with boobs and ass again. And there some sort of plot that keeps it going. Now One can argue that it exploiting woman and all that other p.c culture crap. Of course I feel that a very little nit pick. But I would like add a counter point, That sex sells and that not going to change anytime soon, Unless all the sex drives just disappear all out of no where. Plus I would like to add that this show isn't always about fan service. it also about following your dreams and ambitions, While having fun on the way, And honestly that makes it more interesting and actually relatable. All though I was more watching it for the pure abserdy of it all. I mean how can I not treat it was such. It's a story based around a spot with girls slamming there asses into each over. Now I have been mostly positive. It's time for the negatives. Now even I do find it extremely funny, I feel at times that it looses stream at times and the joke starts to become less funny as it goes along. I would also like to add that the pacing is quite off at times, Like there some parts like In the first few episodes which kind of went a bit to fast and there where other time where the pacing slows down because there trying to make up for a fast pace, It really find it hard to keep to a steady pace. I also think that could toned down on the talking and info dumps, the first episode we where explained the basics and how the game was played, But than later on in the same episode they repeat the exact same thing. Which is bother some when I came here to see crazy over the top bull shit. That other that that there really nothing much else to say. Characters 6/10 The main character Nozomi. I would probably say she a very fun led to follow. With her very I wouldn't say interesting, But very energetic personally that kind of grows on you over time. And also very determined to follow her dreams which makes her quite relatable to any one who trying to follow your dreams. The side characters. Are very fun and kinda over the top. And actually have some sort of personality. Which is always a plus. There not the most interesting cast, But are very fun to follow and that's how they should be. But there really much else to them than that. Art,7/10 The animation looks very polished and dynamic. It also has very nice flash to it. It had some really great boob and ass shots. It has a very over the top style Which adds to the fight scenes to any run of the mail activity. Which it makes over the top. The characters design are quite nice, Sound, 6/10 The op and ending I actually quite like which actually shocking because I general very fussy when it comes to sougs I like. Other than the kick ass op and nice ending the rest of the ost is pretty forgettable. The ost was done by matsuo hayato who has done the ost for drifters and cyborg 009. The dub and sub are both fine. Enjoyment,6/10 I feel what really made me enjoy this anime. Was the fact that is show is so unapologetic about how sexual and over the top is about every thing, This show doesn't give a fuck and I found that aspect of it very endearing. And also the fact that is show feels like it was made to have fun. Overall, 6/10 If your looking for something insane and over the top then kejio is definitely what your looking for. If you are a SJW or someone that doesn't understand that this is just for fun. Or don't like fan service or any of the elk then probably don't watch this

Sword Art Online II

Not Recommended Warning this review may contain spoilers. First impressions, so let's get back into my favorite train wreck anime And see what's that hook this time. What mystery and guns hmm this sounds interesting. Also quick side note this review was made with the help of a few ideas that a Skype friend named zeph brought up. Story, 4/10 ... Side note I am going to brake the story parts into arcs so i am going to talk about the story in detail arc by arc. first arc which I call the (The death gun menace) So one year after the kirito Escaped and freed the people from the death game of Aincrad and the defeat of darth rape fairy. Kirito and his girlfriend Asuna Decide in Taking some much needed down time after There PTSD inducing adventure. But while that is happening a new evil is starting to take root that threatens the balance of his Harem and video gaming life. So Kirito is then called into action By the high gaming council. Who order for him To investigate a string Of mysterious deaths On a new game Knowing as gun gale online. That seems to be Cause by a mysterious Player named death gun Who has the power to kill you in real life. So while investigating the incidents He comes across a lone sniper named simon Who decides to help him On His quest to bring down death gun or darth gun. And solve the mystery behind these deaths. So the first arc pretty much try's to play out like some sort of video game murder mystery with psychological elements with kirito getting the temptation to join the dark side with the whole Laughing Coffin incident which gets quickly rec-con and Simon back story where she killed a bank robber which was played in probably the most hammy way possible. One thing Which was kind of interesting in some way Was the whole mystery of is it possible to kill some one in a game without a real gun and is better writing wise because there was no Random time skips. And it was this arc that had the most going for it. In turn of something of interest. Like with kirito being in a game where they use a different game mechanic with guns and not just fantasy swords and magic . Which would have lead him to learn a new style of fighting or exploreing a new game mechanic, wouldn't it be more interesting to see kirito as a rookie learning how to use guns. Then why the fuck is he using A lightsaber in a game thats all about gun fights. I thought this game was called gun gale online, And the mystery element of the show pretty much solved it's self because kirito has actually meet death gun before and the only reason that he didn't solved the mystery quicker is that he forgot death game actual name. So after defeating death gun. simon is then welcomed into kirito harem club and the arc ends. Second arc ( attack of the really bad filler) So a few months after the events of Gun gale online Kirito finds out the location of a powerful Sword, He then gatherers a small team in order to get Back a powerful sword known as Excalibur. After batting powerful monsters they then retrieve the Excalibur. And I am thinking to myself why those this arc exist exactly. I mean why dose kirito need Excalibur. He doesn't need to get any stronger he will win any way. It doesn't Matter what sword he using. So what's the point exactly of This arc. Third arc (Revenge of the sick-th) So while the winter break is going down Very one is chilling together in game and doing home work Together because way the fuck not. And while that going down Asuna Is having problems with her home life With her "not one dimensional" rich mother Who doesn't want her to marry into poor aka kirito even though he is smart and saved your child from the gay fairy rapist Because that's not good Enough. (free will and love what the fuck is That if worse comes to Worse we could always Marry her to someone while She in a coma like we did with that First guy that seemed to work) And is basically forcing Asuna To meet all these quote on quote Of course not rapists. So while this shit is going down Asuna comes across a powerful player Who is that leader of a group of Players that want To be the first To clear a boss room. So I am like thinking to Myself. Well this is quite nice. It better the evil Mother crap We getting. Of course the show then Decided to take a turn for the Worse. So after they finish the boss. And the group sadly brakes up. We find out that the leader of the Group Has AIDS and is close to Death and that the rest of her group Are also in the similar boat. So basically this entire arc is this show Poor excuse to try and milk emotions Out of you. Now I know that some found this pretty Sad and heart braking. But I personally couldn't find a reason to care About any of these characters. And before you people in the comments say oh your so Heartless biogundam why don't you care. well let me just say that for one Have been in a similar situation That these characters have been in. And if they presented it properly then Maybe I could have cared a little About what was happening. But what really bothers me about how They did it. Is that is seems like that this was just Added in because they couldn't think up any more interesting storylines At the time and so they just wrote it up this mallow Dramatic bullshit And hoped that most people would bye into it. So after the AIDS girl dies things go back to normal And that Asuna mother is now fine with her Dating kirito. Characters, 4/10 So the mian character kirito Is pretty generic he is basically Jesus-kun. But one thing which they tried With his character which was kind of interesting Was for him to Get PTSD which he should have got last season. But never mind he got in now. And what do they do with it. Nothing basically what happened is that he gets over his PTSD in about one episode. And then he back to kicking ass again. Wait what shouldn't it take more than one episode to Get over PTSD. Well I am sorry but this is sword art online Where one thing is bought up to be ended by the next episode. The side characters are pretty basic. Yet again. With the old cast coming back And the only ones who seems to stand out was The new characters Simon and the ADIS girl. That where I wouldn't say better but I would say More interesting. And they could have been even more interesting If they where presented properly. And the quote on quote bad guy death gun was probably The most dispontment I have felt in my life when it comes to anime. Because they build him up as some sort of bad ass and then it turns out he is a rapist. Art, 7/10 Animation looks pretty nice. The animation has a lot of polish it. Now there are a few inconsistencies Here and there. There also some very good use of color scheme. The art style is generic it's pretty much standard light novel fare. The character designs are also pretty generic. I think that only thing that stood out was probably the Designs because it was like a mix of post apocalyptic mixed with Japanese RPGs Sound, 7/10 The first op song and ending song where quite good and nice to Listen to at least for me. I thought the second op and ending wasn't as good as the first op and ending It just that the second op and ending didn't really click with me personally. But I do think it worth a listen. The ost was quite nice as well to listen to as well. Enjoyment, 6/10 So what I enjoyed about this show is pretty much what I liked about it in season one So basically I enjoy the fight scenes even though it would have been nice to see more gun action instead of kirito using a lightsaber, but in retrospect it was pretty cool to watch Him flip around and do cool shit. I also enjoyed the ost. So pretty much What I enjoyed about this show are all for superficial reasons. Overall, 4/10 So if your looking for an anime and you just want entertainment them sword art online is for you. It is nothing more nothing less. But if your looking for more than just entertainment then probably look for something else then.

Warning this review may contain spoilers.
First impressions, so I was pretty hesitant to check this show out because of all the hype and hate that was around it so after a while I was like fuck it. I want to see want the people are buzzing about. Story, 4/10 So the story of re zero begans with subaru a neet who just doing his day to day things. ... When out of the blue for no reason at all he gets transported to a generic fantasy world. Man where haven't I heard this before. While exploring this new world he gets attacked by a group thugs but is saved by beautiful girl by the name of satella who is looking for her insignia that was just stolen from her Deciding to help her look for it In thanks for her kindness in helping him with those thugs. Eventually that mange to find where is and try and get it back. After finding where it is subaru and Stella are brutally murdered. Then subaru reawakens fine as rain. but something is off he finds that events that happen before seem to repeating themselves, realizing that he gone back in time he going to try and stop the events and save satella from her death. So the basic idea of this story is time resets and saving wifuus. Now I will be honest I do kind of have a personal beef with story's that use time resets As a concept, Looking at you clanland after story and eased. Now Despite my distaste for these kinds of story's. I must admit that there is some actually good ideas in this story which kind of shocked me a little because I didn't expect much, And why should I from a story that has that as a gimmick So the idea which I thought where good, Was the idea that every time the main character dies, He try's to learn and use different ways to try and Solve the problem at hand. Like for example in The first arc he found out about the shop keeper and the thief girl and the person who killed him, He wouldn't have known that unless he tried to find out what was going on. And i really like that kind of approach. The other idea which I thought was pretty good, Is the idea of when the main character tries to do everything buy-himself like a good pro tag kun should, But He gets slapped in the face by reality multiple times, telling him that he can do quite a few things but some times there are things he can't do alone and that maybe he should get help. Which was drilled into him quite hard when he was fighting the witches cult. Because for the first 5 times he tried it by himself and failed, But when he decided to get help it worked out better. And I really like that message because I have seen to many stories especially now a days that always has the protag kun doing pretty much everything like it requires no effort at all. But sadly that doesn't mean that this is a master piece it's very far from it actually. Because even though it has some good ideas here and there. The rest of it ideas are pretty bland and there is just nothing really that note worthy where. Another problem I have is that it always has to draw attention to sied good ideas like it done something that hasn't been done before, It like small child trying to get your attention so it can show you the cool thing it did, Look at me look at this idea, I would have preferred if they let said ideas play out instead of contently drawing attention to that, For example in the second arc, they based the twins story arc on an old Japanese folk tale Yet though out that entire arc it keeped on going back to it like you didn't get it the first time especially when they mention the story and tell it to you. Which makes me quite sad because that was probably my favorite arc. But I think my major criticism is that it takes itself so seriously and content wise it was anything but serious. Because everything is done In such an over the top manner That how could i take this seriously. Like when the show has these dramatic moments or dark parts, I am ether laughing my guts out or just cringing my teeth so hard my mouth was bleeding, Especially when you have one arc centered around a mentally retarded joker and friends. I guess my final problem is that there is quite a lot of unanswered questions and plot points that need to rapped up, So basically it's going to need that second season. Like for example why was the main character brought to this world or what is his connection to the which. I may never know, Especially since I am to lazy to read the light novel right now. Characters, 5/10 The Main character subaru is kind of this very average otaku person. Who happens be very prideful and kind of thinks that the fantasy world revolves around him. And in all honesty that all he got going for him pretty much. But I really do like where they took his character, Because at the start he was basically trying to be hero this knight of some sort, Like you good pro tag kun. But as the situations get more intense and dire he finds that he can't actually handle it all by himself. Especially when he brakes down. But you don't just get that in an episode. But he goes through this nice little development Where he finally realized that he isn't that important and that he can do many things but do everything by himself is impossible. The side characters for the most part where a fine cast of characters. For me they did the roles they where given well, But dose this mean they where good characters. Yes and no. Because on the one hand I feel that they do a good enough job and that there isn't really any characters I hated or found bothersome. But at the same time there really isn't that much character development or fleshing, Unless you count the twins and Stella and the old sword guy I guess if we are talking about fleshing out. I also found all the bad guys really bad. That where like a parody of actual good villains, Because he have the crazy assassin, The magic puppy and girl, And my personal favorite the joker mentally retarded inbreed bother in law. Also rem is best girl and fuck every one else. Art, 6/10 The animation for this show actually looks quite nice, I do believe the background animation could have been done better, But the animation dose shine very well when they do these dramatic scenes that look actually very nice. It also uses a very wide range of colors which fits the moods that very scene dose. So I guess you can say that the colors are pretty. It has this very generic JRPG fantasy style to it which I don't really dislike, But I wish that they would try something at lest different. The characters design are kind of things that probably most of us has seen before, But I do like the difference in all of them, So it doesn't feel as generic as I should have. Sound, 5/10 Both op and ending I found where all right, But nothing really noteworthy for me at lest, I only liked the second op which I thought was quite nice to listen to. The ost was on point and I think it's sounds alright. But there really was nothing in there saying I want to listen to this again and again. Like if you looking for ost to listen to you should probably give this a shot, Because there probably something that at lest some of you will like. Enjoyment, 6/10 I think what shocked me the most is how much fun I had with this show. I really liked the over all ride which was re zero, Because I was never actually bored because I was laughing to much. I also found it fun to make theories to guess what will happen next and what not. Also I really liked the thing about the witch, Which is funny because that was the reason I was watching it Overall, 4/10 If you looking for a show that will entertain you and nothing more or you like show where you want to guess what's happening, Then Probably check this out But if you some one who doesn't really like light novels or any of the eilk then probably stay away.
