Peace and long life!

I started liking anime a couple years ago. My room mate got me started on it, and it just took root. I am glad she showed me the way, the truth, and the light. She is like Jesus, but with anime. I find anime to be a refreshing source of entertainment. It is much better than most modern tv/movies nowadays in the west. Not only is anime a much needed escape from the mundane everyday, but anime also gives you characters you care about. I am sorry to say, but anime's characters more often than not seem more real and have more depth than the people you meet in real life.
I am an anime newbie, haven't seen a whole lot of anime or read a lot of manga, but I plan to watch and read more. I have some anime figures, mostly fairies and a couple mermaids. I like to collect fantasy themed figures, they have a beauty and whimsy that is a sharp contrast to the dull world we live in.

yes omg i agree with you so much with re:zero especially emilia i had a hard time digesting her character i found her very annoying
i have a really poor memory so i don’t remember crusch, honestly i need to watch it again before i start season two but just the thought of it is very painful so i’ve been avoiding

hmm he’s actually one of the few male protagonist that i like, i like how he thinks about things, he feels more human to me that most other mcs, especially because of what you said about him thinking about how he considers his motives
not to say i agree with them but the emotions and thought process feels real to me

do you you have discord by the way? it would be nice to talk to you more ^^

did you like re:zero overall? what was your rating for it?
for me i thought it was a bit overrated, i did like the setting but i think the characters and story fell a bit short, especially the characters i didn't like any of them that much.

i won't comment too much on s;g because my memory from it is a bit hazy but i remember not liking rintarou and most of the characters much either.

i actually really like rising of a shield hero, what are some of your criticisms on it?

by the way what part of the world are you from?

I was referring to listening to music, but as it happens, I'm a former musician. I mostly performed. Although I've written a ton of (mostly instrumental) songs, I never properly recorded them, and don't intend on releasing them. Gave up on my dreams of being a famous pop singer and metal guitarist long ago. Nowadays I'd rather be unknown than a celebrity. Privacy is golden in my book. I'm into most types of music, but especially electronic, metal and classical.

aha. I used to own some of the STAX (Japanese company) electrostatic headphones that anime parodied. Music is my main hobby and I've gone overboard with the gear since it sounds so much better.

It's nearly a thousand miles away, so it might be awhile. :^) Feel free to share a pic of it! I know what you mean...though there are exceptions, such as myself. :P A few people have told me that I'm like a real life anime character, though. This is my current phase. lol

Yeah, it's pretty large. I haven't seen it in years, as it's been in storage. What you said about fictional characters is so true. I wish some of them could be real!

i haven't watched too much anime but i find majority of male protagonist to be really stupid or just frustrating and annoying even from shows that are popular and rated high
