This is a really creative story, probably one of the most creative stories out right now. The characters are funny and how the 2 protagonists interact is amazing.

but....

I have a problem with the story at the moment. it kind of feels like the mangaka doesn't know what he wants to do. Its a really creative story but everything feels rushed and like a lot of stuff is getting thrown at us.

Its not too fair to shit on the manga right now, i do expect this to pick up soon since its only on 4 chapters but at the moment I don't think this is ... a 10 or 9.

I do plan on changing my review and rating the more i read since it does look promising but rights now its a 6 more or less but its not a 10 or 9.

JJK sucks

Jujutsu Kaizen a new Shonen leaving its mark and dropping big numbers alongside others like My Hero Academia. To set my footing here ill ask myself the simple question, what do I think of JJK? .... The best way i can explain this is by saying, this is the most overrated piece of generic Shonen since Demon Slayer. Why? everything, from the characters to the story is all ripped off and nobody opens their eyes because the manga got a great anime adaption.

Story 3: The story is exactly just like My hero, ... Black Clover, Naruto and every Shonen that uses tropes. Yet the only difference is that everyone praises JJk for doing the exact same garbage that every other shonen does. My Hero gets hate for its generic story, Deku gets accepted into the most prestigious school after getting the strongest power. Itadori gets assigned into the or one of the most prestigious sorcerer school after getting the curse spirit of Sukuna. Itaodir has a basically demon inside of him, Asta has a demon in his grimoire. Yall see what I'm saying? JJK is on par with your typical generic shonen. Just that these other mangas like My Hero and Black Clover, have better execution to garbage tropes.

Art 5: Honestly I'm being generous here, it pisses me off how poorly drawn some chapters are, ranging from 0 shading to scribbles all over a page when Itadori uses Black Flash or basically any fight in this manga is splattered with ink and scribbles. Sometimes the drawings are un readable, i cant see a single thing and the body proportions looked morphed and lazy. The art is mid at most and low resolution even though i read on VIZ.

Character 7: I tried being as generous as possible here to but honestly the characters in JJK are the 1 and only thing that is decent in this plot hole, generic and poorly executed story. Characters like Nobara get hardly any development but people don't notice that because "oh she's a unique and badass character" which makes no sense because there still has to be development regardless of uniqueness. Megumi has had pretty good development but i wish he relied more on his friends, nevertheless he still has great character development and he reminds me of Aki frrom Chainsaw Man. Itadori... wow it is a shit show with him, he starts off as someone who wants to save someone and is always happy to him being the exact same in the latest chapters. The only character development we saw from Itadori is in the Shibuya arc, he gets more mature but right after all his friends get basically killed he is back on his bull shit as being a happy dude. I wished he grew up and realized hes living a fucking nightmare.

Enjoyment 6: honestly iot pisses me off how people say this is a 9/10 or 10/10 saying this is peak Shonen, Shonen at its best. Then after they come and say that, Black Clover is bad because its generic, my hero is bad because the characters suck. Literally the characters in my hero are just as bad in JJk, the story is just as generic in BC than it is in JJk. People need to wake up and drop the hypocrisy.

Overall 5: Its at most a mediocre series so far, the manga sucks so far with a lot of plot holes and a lot of missing context and bad writing. To begin with Gojo got his power off of some bs, he basically trained for like 1 month and got the strongest buff in new gen Shonen history with hardly any training and no development. The manga is a rip off of every other new gen and a accumulation of character designs from every old generation show.

Black Clover, Asta, Yuni, Noelle, Yami. A family.. A story of 2 orphans living in the darkness of the corrupt Clover Kingdom with a goal. A goal that many shows use, a goal that many would say is just like naruto or one piece and my hero academia. Asta and Yuno don’t just want to be like every other shonen. They don’t just want to be the #1 of their universe. Asta and Yuno want everyone to change as they change the world and it’s history. Asta and Yuno want to be accepted and want everyone to accept each other for who they are not ... by a social class or a ranking. Labels don’t mean a single thing to them...

Black clover a show that was hated by many but many grew to love. A generic story about the protagonist and his rival trying to make it to the top. But something is different... Black Clover was different in a way that it knew it was generic and it worked with it. People tend to compare it and shit on the show but never really give it a chance, No it’s not a show to watch when you’re brain dead, No it’s not trash and No it’s not a clone. Black Clover is a show that worked for its name, it worked harder than any show and it will continue to fight for its name. Just like Asta and Yuno, black clover grew to be loved. Thank you Tabata and thank you black clover for this series.

Story: I gave black clover story a 9 as it basically built up the villains for 100 episodes with a great amount of dedicated development for every cast in the Bulls and then it had a perfect foreshadowed turn of the devils being behind everything. The dark triad, they are what they war is all about, anime fails to adapt that war is not slow and that war is out of the blue, shit happens and you can not change it. Yami got taken in an instant for example, it felt real, in a real war situation stuff happens and you can’t change it. Most anime give the protagonist time to change an outcome which shouldn’t be changed. Black clover is a 9 for tan amazing executed story.

Art: I don’t even want to explain, black clover has its ups and downs and clearly everyone knows the downs are stronger.

Sound: Best openings in all of anime

Character: every character in the Bulls got their own dedicated development and it was not rushed like other mangas or anime’s like My Hero or Naruto. The watcher grows to loving every Bull and gets sad, mad happy when they do. The Bulls are more family than any other cast, they lean on each other and fight and cry for each other like no other. I find it funny how many people don’t talk about how good Tabata is at writing female characters. Noelle has better development than most female protagonist and its shun solely by the fact that people think this show is a joke.

Enjoyment: I would’ve gave this a 10 but the animation really does kill the mood sometimes. But I don’t think the animation ruins how fun it is watching Asta try his hardest, Asta at his lowest and Asta inspiring people to be better or just like him. This show really does have a way of making you feel for characters who may not even be that important. It was a great ride and black clover was fun to watch.
