Despite any reluctance you might have to watch the show - maybe because it seems like a very generic shounen, maybe because it gained a huge amount of hype you start being sceptical about it, maybe the whole demon slaying thing is not your thing - Demon Slayer is truly a noteworthy piece that will go down the history of anime as one of the classics, I'm sure.
Every show is like a burger, which means it is composed of very crucial ingredients, and lack of a single one of them makes up for a very nasty sandwich.
Let's start with the most important ones: THE BUNS
...
(aka the story). Many shounen buns are the same. You enjoy them, they taste good, they are what makes burger a burger, yet you would welcome some slight variety. In the case of the Demon Slayer, they have some minor difference to them. The story itself is cohesive, does not dawdle too much and has the right amount of comedy snuck into it at the right time. The premise is pretty simple; hunt some demons, but the fact that the show is not stagnant, and the enemies in it scale up in strength after each battle, already proves to be more diverse than most shounen shows. So the story has an actual journey and not just "fight-relax-fight" arcs where none of the characters develop at all.
It would not be a burger without a proper chunk of MEAT (aka the characters). There are instances where the meat is undercooked, it is something Gordon Ramsey would yell at. And you get salmonela. The distaste lingers in your mouth hours after consuming it. Fortunately, this meat is juicy and warm. Neither raw nor hard to chew. The progress of characters is clearly there. That is the most defining element of long-running work where you expect things to change. With this it already rivals its big brothers, FMA:B and Hunter x Hunter. All characters have backstory, which is not dragged out and offering the viewer a look into the past of both good and bad guys. The anime also blurs the line between the good and the bad in its revealing of the past. That does not derail Demon Slayer from capturing its evil, for there is a very defined dislikable villain from the beginning.
If you only add some piece of bread and meat, you are essentially having a grill party. That on its own isn't bad, but we want that good sandwich. What do we do? We add the VEGETABLES (aka the art, the visuals). Fresh lettuce, some onion, tomatoes, pickles, you name it! Now, you can wipe that sweat off your forehead, because Demon Slayer is packed with beautiful artstyle. Needless to say, it was made by ufotable, so there is no need to go into the details.
Now, sometimes, or sometimes too often, studios forget about the SEASONING (aka the sound). Or they simply do not have the budget for it, which is unfortunate, but not in this case. Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu does incredible job of being a wimpy crybaby, transitioning into the opposite. Saori Hayami manages to capture the sheer creepiness of her character. Obviously there are many more due to be listed here. Apart from the voice acting, similarly to the artstyle, there should not be any need to justify the glory of the soundtrack playing throughout the whole story.
Coming from someone who despises shounen shows, I seriously recommend everyone who stumbles upon this one to keep watching until the end. There are, of course, some convenient moments, where the plot armor shines brighter than the sun, but that can be forgiven this time given how much the positive things outweight this one little flaw. In the end, Demon Slayer proved to be one exceptionally tasty burger. Naturally it is imperative for the rest of the story to be released, but even so, it would be one of the better shows out there on its own; standalone, first season.

Bunny Senpai, commonly know as Bunny Senpai, because who honestly pronounces the whole title, is one of the diamonds among other anime. The premise isn't very "premising" I'll admit, but just give it a chance. I mean, you get to see an unsociable dude kick some chick's ass - nice equiality moment right there, deny the common trope with overly loving sister, stand up for a girl, get more girls' attention, get a harem? Hold on, get a harem? No, don't leave! It's made out to be really unique and interesting show despite the protagonist getting all the girls.
A lot of people compare this to
...
Monogatari series. So.... on one hand we have a show with a dialogue on whole new level combined with less ordinary camera angles and overall animation, and on the other hand a simple show without anything new thrown in it, forgettable plot and naturally boring cast. But fret not, Bunny Girl can fix that and to compensate, it stuffs some girl into a bunny suit and gives her some sort of syndrome or mystical supernatural condition. Perfect!
Then again, if that wasn't enough, you can always check out protagonist's sister in a furry panda suit. She won't get called out for being a furry, because she never leaves the house, so don't worry, she's safe.
So the cast is composed of the main character, a righteous cynical outcast - as per usual - who doesn't use phones, and his harem; girl who is apparently isolated in school despite being popular - very serious matter, also relatable. Then the girl who the protagonist kicked in the butt, the scientist girl who's protagonist's friend and the sister. You can rest assured, that all those characters are deeply in love with the protagonist even if they don't show it.
And that's it. The plot? Solving some sort of puberty syndrom mystery that serves to keep the show going somewhere, while 90% of it is filled with exchanging effortless flirting innuendos between the protagonist and his girlfriend. Voila! Another masterpiece of 2018.

Why are people complaining about this show? It was perfect. I honestly get why would people watch in the first place, because it was not like the only redeemable quality of the previous season was the ending, where Kaneki got tortured to oblivion. When the viewers were afraid that they would see this completely remade Kaneki finally smack some asses, fellas at Studio Pierrot reassured them that that is not going to happen. Oh, what a relief honestly. Everybody was on the edge of their seats and ready to quit watching if they had given Kaneki more than 15% of screentime.
So it opens up with
...
the main protagonist basically vanishing somewhere, and an introduction of new members of the glorious Tokyo Ghoul cast. And amazing they were. What do we have here? Some.... Uta, Eto, Ayato, Kishou, that dude who was slaying all the ghouls.... and Touka! Yes, Touka....
Eh.... what happened in the story? Who knows? Has anyone been actually paying attention?
The whole story sort of plays like radio you have running in a car, not really listening to it because you need to focus on the road or in this case, have simply better things to do than to give the anime full undivided attention.
Spoilers of the ending: there was some spat between the ghouls and the infamous cafe caught on fire, then Kaneki's friend got hurt or something and Kaneki proceeded to straight up walk for an entire episode. If I remember a single thing from this absolutely mindbogglingly entertaining anime, it is the part where Kaneki Ken, the renewed ghoul, walked, carrying his friend through the land covered in snow and swarmed with police force, not saying a word, not doing anything else.
No wonder they went for more seasons.
I also have not read the manga but I heard that they did not exactly stick to it, or that they omitted few little things so.... if that mildly infuriates you, you should still give it a go, because it is very well made.
4/10 amazing sequel we wanted, more great seasons to be expected

Kyoto Animation is usualy met with good amount of praise. I am not really that well informed about all the studios around anime, but I have heard enough about this one to truly believe its potential of making a grand animated show. And Clannad was no exception.
Story aside, for now, have you seen the artstyle they chose to go with? Oh my gosh, it is astonishing. As Clannad is supposedly dramatic and, deep down, very serious show about love and life lessons, Kyoto Animation could not have made a better choice with the eyes design. Those guys are such rascals, because nothing really makes me
...
scream "Fuck yes!" more than seeing overly cute moe girls and guys. And do not forget the hair antennae of Nagisa. If she did not become a fit candidate for a member of Chimera Ants from Hunter x Hunter, I do not know what is Madhouse thinking. Step up your game and take notes from Kyoto Animation, really.
When I grasped the depth and strength of the story, I almost fell off my chair. True story. I do not want to give out unnecessary spoilers so I am going to try to praise the show very simply. Basically.... it is one incredible and thought-out piece that never, I repeat, not even once, made me want to stop watching it. Its gripping premise about high school kids dealing with all sorts - even supernatural - problems was so intirguing that I binged it in a day, both seasons without a wink of sleep. The cherry on the cake is, of course, its sequel, Clannad Afterstory, but I would like to glue it to the first season and review both at the same time.
So first season had some sort of ghost phenomenon going on. Again, production of this show did an outstanding job with handling that in the balance of drama and comedy. Then someone got sick....? I forgot few events because I was just.... I guess I was too captivated by the first half.
Then Clannad Afterstory managed to construct even more enjoyable story with.... the girl and added some other supernatural elements. Yay! It was great. So good.
5/10 Best romance comedy drama. Made my heart throb hard. It really did.
