“Refill please!” - Saber
🥇 9/10
Take a break from the Holy Grail War and let’s relax in such a heartwarming cooking show, Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family. This show is bringing characters you love from Fate/Stay Night, then portray them in a totally new aspect. If watching Fate/Stay Night is like having a main dish, then this show would be a dessert.
🎬 Story - 7/10
Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family is a show about cooking. While the story itself contains nothing extraordinary, it is rather focused on characters and filled with many heartwarming moments.
🎨 Animation - 8/10
Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family came with an
...
above-standard animation quality, having a watercolor art style, unlike the usual ufotable Fate’s one. The art style gives off a very relaxing vibe, building up the overall relaxing mood and tone of the anime. The art style itself is not very common, making it unique. By having this art style, characters are also giving off a totally different feeling, becoming friendlier and cuter. Most importantly, it is very eye-friendly and easy to watch.
🔈 Sound - 8/10
Everything here in Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family is relaxing. Theme songs are good, suiting the mood and tone of the anime. Soundtracks are surprisingly good, calm and relaxing.
🕶 Characters - 9/10
Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family is having the characters you love from Fate/Stay Night in a friendly and cute mode, allowing audiences to see them in another aspect. You will get to see Saber’s sweetest and cutest side, ever.
🎉 Enjoyment - 9/10
As a Fate fan, Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family totally enjoyed me. The mood and tone is perfect, everything fits together. Having such nice animation and relaxing sounds with characters I love could not enjoy me more!
📌 Recommendations
Since Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family is a show that relies on its main show, not an independent anime, characters introductions are not included, Fate/Stay Night or Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works completion is highly recommended before watching this show. Lastly, if you love Fate/Stay Night characters, I am pretty sure you will love this anime. Enjoy!

“The possibilities are endless.” - Infinite Dendrogram’s slogan
This review contains mild spoilers.
🙅♂️ 4/10
Welcome to Infinite Dendrogram, the world's first successful full-dive VRMMORPG, where the possibilities are endless. Infinite Dendrogram is a show about the game of the same name. Infinite Dendrogram shows potential, but sadly it was wasted in almost every way. If Infinite Dendrogram was food, it would probably be the one that looks good but tastes bad.
🎬 Story - 2/10
At first glance, Infinite Dendrogram might look like Sword Art Online, but it is not. According to the slogan of Infinite Dendrogram, this is where anything can happen. The overall story is not
...
predictable, due to the unique abilities each character has, which seems to be a fairly nice idea, but at the same time, it is also due to having improper world settings and a messy storyline.
First of all, Infinite Dendrogram is much like any MMORPG as we know, but with no limitations, rather close to the fantasy world than a game, resulting in a mess, nothing is balanced. Upon the registration, players will receive a power unique to their own, called “embryos”. However, while they are having a huge role in the game, players are not able to choose it, similar to not being able to choose a class in an MMORPG. The concept of MMORPG is broken here.
Second, Infinite Dendrogram allows player-killing, even right in the city, which is supposed to be a safe zone in many MMORPGs. Crimes, terrorisms, and wars are also being allowed. The concept of MMORPG wrecked again. Getting killed also results in a 24-hour log-in restriction into the game. Infinite Dendrogram made me wondered if there is the point of making a game like this.
Third, Infinite Dendrogram contains a contradiction. While the game is where you should be having fun, Infinite Dendrogram is having several serious moments. Unlike Sword Art Online which real death is involved, Infinite Dendrogram has no real threat, even with anywhere player-killing is involved, players can always escape from the game. Infinite Dendrogram confused me if I should feel relaxed or get serious when watching the show.
Fourth, a few plot armors are detected. I personally prefer the hardworking or smart protagonist than the one that usually gets protected by plot armors.
Lastly, the storyline is messy, going from one place to another quickly. It is more like a couple of events packed into a single anime than a well-written continuous story. This is one of the possibilities that could happen when the story has no actual objective.
In conclusion, the main problem of the story is about the settings of the world which is at risk of not fitting well the story, and yes, it did not fit. Making a world where “anything can happen” is like saying “I have no idea how should I write a proper story, so I will use random ideas that popped up in my head along the way of writing”.
🎨 Animation - 6/10
Overall pretty standard art quality, nothing has bugged me. However, the animation of the action scenes seems a bit stiff, almost no tension, not so many action moves are being shown.
🔈 Sound - 7/10
Standard theme songs and soundtracks. I am not a sound expert, so I would say that I find nothing outstanding and nothing bugged me.
🕶 Characters - 3/10
Character is an important factor in impressing audiences and keeping them from dropping the show. While Infinite Dendrogram seems to noticed mistakes that happened in other shows and did try to prevent them, but ended with a failure.
First, despite the show is giving off a serious vibe, characters have no real objectives, not making me having any interest in them at all. They just do whatever they want.
Second, the characters’ background is not being told properly. While the main character’s background is not being told, several supporting characters’ are being told instead. However, I find them to be not convincing and meaningless, not really related to their actions or motivation.
Third, character design and looks are important. According to the anime poster, the protagonist, Ray, is wearing a good-looking white knight-like costume. However, at a point in the show, he comes to wear a totally different style of costume instead, which is not a matching appearance at all. Even this is intentional, I find tainting to characters.
Lastly, the protagonist character development is not very promising. Through the 13 episodes of Infinite Dendrogram, the protagonist gains some upgrades, but what I saw was the same move is being used repeatedly, basically a one-trick pony.
🎉 Enjoyment - 4/10
I used to play an MMORPG and find them interesting. I enjoy seeing how different MMORPGs could become, like Sword Art Online, Elder Tale from Log Horizon, or NewWorld Online from Bofuri.
However, I came to disappointment. I have never seen such a chaotic, messy, and unbalanced MMORPG before, as well as how the story and characters correspond to it, which is just did not work out, seeming like the settings of the world just do not work out from the beginning. It does not mean that I hated this show, I just do not like it and a bit disappointed.
📌 Recommendations
If you are still new to anime, Infinite Dendrogram might be fine for you. Infinite Dendrogram is probably an anime for a group of people who usually overlook flaws and illogical things. In conclusion, if you are looking for an anime about games, action anime, and you can overlook flaws and illogical things, then I recommend this anime. Enjoy!

This review contains spoilers of Hello World.
🙆♂️ 6/10
Satisfied with Hello World and need more? Here you go. Another world, by its name, the story starts in another world, which is the world of the older Naomi, where the whole story really started.
🎬 Story - 6/10
The story is pretty much fine. It is simply the story of Naomi’s memories. The core of the story is already told in the movie, but here is a more detailed one, including some untold parts. There is only a little problem with somewhat dull storytelling.
🎨 Animation - 4/10
Another World is composed of the same art style as the Hello World
...
movie, having nice environment arts but a poor character animation. Using a 3D-style on characters is somewhat a bad idea for 3 reasons. First, it does not go well with the environment art, next, it mostly came out low-quality and low-FPS, and lastly, it is difficult or unnatural for characters to show emotions or expressions. Overall animation in the Hello World movie is fine, but this Another World is somewhat a bit lower on quality. In addition, since the story is about Naomi’s memories, the animation is rendered in Sepia tone. It’s actually a good idea when the story about the past is rendered in a Sepia tone, but not this case. Staring at the animation with a sepia tone for 10 minutes a bit eye-tiring.
🔈 Sound - 7/10
Overall pretty standard sound. Somewhat a more relaxing and calm version of the Hello World movie.
🕶 Characters - 7/10
Naomi (the older one), who is willing to do anything just for his loved one to come back. He is pretty an amazing and interesting character, here in Another World, the story is mainly focused on him, letting audiences know more about him. Naomi is a character to show almost every aspect. Character development, emotion, background, and motive, all being shown in him. This is really what a character-building should be. However, please note that this is Another World, three 10-minute episodes, which are not long enough to show strong character aspects like in the Hello World movie. Plus, other characters beside Naomi is not interesting at all.
🎉 Enjoyment - 6/10
Another World is an overall pretty fine additional short story to the movie. Basically, a story to understand more about Naomi. It is not really that necessary, but worths watching.
📌 Recommendations
If you watched Hello World and liked it, especially the adult Naomi character, then I recommend this anime. Enjoy!

“The law doesn't protect people, people protect the law” - Akane Tsunemori
🥈 8/10
A world without crime, or at least, future possible crimes are being prevented as much as possible. Pretty an ideal world, isn’t it? Here in Psycho-Pass, in a future world, comes to the existence of a system that can detect people’s signs of criminal intent, output in a number, a number over 100 means a sign of criminal intent is detected, while over 300 means being a threat to society. However, is such a system really perfect? What if a truly innocent person is detected to show signs of criminal intent? And what
...
if the system detects no signs of criminal intent of a sadistic criminal at all? That would be a total problem, isn’t it? Find your answer in Psycho-Pass.
🎬 Story - 8/10
Dark and serious. Heartbreaking and depressing. The story itself is no comedic. The series begins when Akane Tsunemori started working as an inspector, telling stories through her and her unit. The story itself is filled with details, some are quite complex, containing mysteries to be revealed throughout the series. I am amazed that this kind of plot can be written and made into the anime pretty well. However, there are some complexities that are not being explained clearly, rather rough and incomplete explanation.
🎨 Animation - 7/10
Pretty average, reached the standard. This anime also contains graphic violence, meaning blood, which suits the theme of the anime, making the anime even darker, more serious, and more realistic.
🔈 Sound - 7/10
Pretty average, reached the standard. As for theme songs, I did not like them but did not hate them either. Songs are mainly personal taste and preferences. As for soundtracks, nothing is outstanding yet nothing bugged me at all.
🕶 Characters - 8/10
Well-rounded and solid character building. Character development is shown strongly, a huge change can be noticed in later parts of the series, which really impressed me. The storytelling does display several aspects of the characters, getting audiences to know and understand characters even more. Different emotions and personalities of characters are also being shown.
However, there is an obvious flaw to be noted. The characters’ background, they are being told incompletely, rather fragments of memories, some of them should be told more but did not, while some of them are not necessary but being told and they play no role in the story. Furthermore, the main antagonist’s background is almost not being told at all, leaving no clues and motivation to be found to audiences. Anyway, the performance of the main antagonist is already badass and evil, pretty interesting and hard-to-predict character, the show just did not execute the idea to its fullest potential. To sum it up, the right and proper character’s background storytelling should have been done.
🎉 Enjoyment - 8/10
Psycho-Pass is one well-composed anime, being dark and serious rather than comedic had encouraged me to watch the show to its end. This show is pretty hard to predict what is going to happen, which made watching this show exciting.
📌 Recommendations
Psycho-Pass is unique, a combination of sci-fi and police is not what you will see every day. If you are looking for a sci-fi anime, dark and serious anime, or a police anime, then I recommend this anime. Enjoy!

“Time may separate us someday, but until then, let’s stay together” - Hotaru Takegawa
This review may contain mild spoilers.
🥉 7/10
A fateful encounter, a time enjoyed together, and a farewell. Value the time you have, spent wisely with people you care about, you will never know when will be the last day you have, so there will be no regrets, or at least, least regret as possible. Into the Forest of Fireflies' is a summer story that will melt your heart and shed your tears.
🎬 Story - 7/10
Interesting concept and unique yet too short and a bit hollow. However, the storytelling is good, reaching my standard,
...
focusing on only two main characters, Gin and Hotaru, and their time spent together. Since the story itself is unique, the potential is realized, but it was not executed to its fullest. If this show was longer, more storytelling would probably give audiences more detail and more character aspects.
🎨 Animation - 7/10
Overall pretty standard art and animation, nothing outstanding, also nothing bugged me. The art is rather composed of less saturated colors, giving a vibe of the non-serious story, youth, and of course, summer, pretty well mood and tone building.
🔈 Sound - 5/10
Overall pretty plain soundtracks and I have to admit it that I dislike some of the soundtracks and theme song. They all may suit the theme of the anime, but they hurt my ears and messed with my mind.
🕶 Characters - 6/10
Averagely well-designed characters. Gin looks good, having white hair and wearing a mask, making him look non-human. To be honest, Hotaru looks incredibly bland, but that is what made her human-like, and luckily, this show contains only a few characters, so character confusion is not going to happen. Character development is shown in Hotaru. Emotions are shown in both Gin and Hotaru. Even with these strong points of characters, but as mentioned in the story section, they lack time showing audiences more of their aspects.
🎉 Enjoyment - 7/10
I enjoy how unique the story is, making me realized how fast the time, and how short the human lifespan is. The story somehow impressed me, but the wasted potential of the story reduced my enjoyment. Overall, it is still a good anime to watch.
📌 Recommendations
If you are looking for a unique short drama-romance story, then I recommend this anime. Enjoy!

“Justice cannot save the world. It’s useless.” – Kiritsugu Emiya
This review covers both seasons of Fate/Zero.
🏆 10/10
Holy Grail War, a battle of 7 masters and 7 heroic spirits for a holy grail, fight until one winner is left to able to be granted one wish from the holy grail. Fate/Zero is dark, intense, and action-packed, essential for anyone who wishes to get into the Fate franchise.
🎬 Story - 10/10
Surprisingly well-composed and amazing storytelling, being dark, intense, and action-packed, giving off a real serious vibe, no comedic included.
...
🎨 Animation - 9/10
Indeed high-quality art, as you can expect from ufotable. This anime also contains graphic violence, meaning blood, which made the action scenes realistic.
🔈 Sound - 7/10
Fairly good theme songs, I feel pretty neutral towards them. As for soundtracks, I also consider them pretty average, but some of them are made very well, giving a hype feeling for epic moments.
🕶 Characters - 10/10
Seven masters, seven servants, meaning at least 14 characters are in the spotlight. Having this much character is kind of challenging, yet the storytelling nailed them all.
Almost every character worths remembering. Getting audiences to understand several aspects of characters is the key concept to good character building, every character is shown their motive and emotions, even audiences can understand a mad character, some of them are even shown their background, getting audiences to understand the characters even more.
Character design is dope, having both fancy-looking and normal-looking characters. Characters do have their own unique traits, so character confusion can hardly occur. Indicating that character design is a success.
🎉 Enjoyment - 10/10
Such dark, intense, and action-packed anime couldn’t enjoy me more than this. Everything is perfect. The first time I watched Fate/Zero, I was not a Fate fan yet, but I totally enjoyed and became a Fate fan. After completing other Fate anime and a rewatch of Fate/Zero, I could say that Fate/Zero is truly a masterpiece of the Fate franchise.
📌 Recommendations
If you are new and wanting to get into the Fate franchise, Fate/Zero is a good choice. You can also start at Fate/Stay Night (2006), which is the first Fate anime aired, or maybe if you are just looking for intense and serious action anime, then I also recommend this anime. Enjoy!

“I am sure we met to put color back in each other’s future.” - Yuito Aoi
🥇 9/10
Have you ever met someone and that person has changed your life forever? If yes, what would your life be, if you did not meet that person? Pretty amazing, isn’t it? This anime will take you to not anywhere far but in 2018, our modern world but with magic. Of course, not huge explosive magic or powerful energy beams, just small magics but they spice everything up making this show more unique.
🎬 Story - 7/10
I considered the story to be quite an ordinary school life story, but with the
...
concept of magic, which did spice up the story to be more interesting. I did hope the show to contain more episodes, more storytelling would work very well in this show, but it has already reached my standard of what an anime story should be.
🎨 Animation - 9/10
This show consists of surprisingly high-quality art, colorful, not too vibrant or too dull, pretty much as expected from a show in the theme of ‘colors’.
🔈 Sound - 9/10
Overall pretty nice, beautiful, and relaxing soundtracks, really suit the theme of the anime, and giving off a magical vibe, as well as theme songs, as they match and express the emotions of the anime very well.
🕶 Characters - 8/10
Pretty nice and cute character designs, with the influence of the art, they even look better. Character development is shown, as well as their background and emotions, which pretty much explained everything their personality and actions. However, there might be some characters’ actions that could annoy or irritate you. Also, as I stated in the story section, more storytelling on the characters’ background would work very well.
🎉 Enjoyment - 9/10
Overall great animation, sound, and characters. I am pretty much impressed by this show, finding beauty and interest in it.

"I want to know what ‘I love you’ means." - Violet Evergarden
🏆 10/10
Letters, a piece of paper that serves a purpose more than just a paper. They contain more than just information but rather filled with feelings and emotions. Letters can reach someone really far away, or someone really close to you but you find it difficult to convey all your feelings with speech. No letters that could be sent deserves to go undelivered. This is the beauty of the Violet Evergarden anime.
🎬 Story - 8/10
Nothing outstanding yet so unique and emotional. The story is solely dedicated to our heroine, Violet Evergarden. The 13-episode itself
...
contains both main story episodes and stand-alone episodes, might seem a bit scattered, but good in its own way. All packed with emotional scenes that will be calling for your tears.
🎨 Animation - 10/10
Stunning and beautiful, not too vibrant or too pale. Violet Evergarden is one of the anime with the highest quality art ever existed.
🔈 Sound - 10/10
Great theme songs, filled with emotions. The soundtracks are amazing and stunningly beautiful. They really built up the mood and tone of the anime, which are sure to have an effect on audiences’ emotions.
🕶 Characters - 9/10
Since having Violet Evergarden as the only main character, her story can be fully told to the audiences. Character development is recognizable, as well as her emotions. Along with the story, other individuals’ stories are also being told. Even most characters have not much screen time, some even appear in only a single stand-alone episode, they are capable of making you cry.
🎉 Enjoyment - 10/10
Violet Evergarden is a magnificent piece of art. I enjoyed every second of it, especially such stunning soundtracks and character development. To sum it up, I am very much impressed with how beautiful this anime is.

What if I told you that a golem can be a father role model?
🥉 7/10
What would it be like, a human girl having an emotionless golem as a father? You might be wondering, is it going to work out? I would say yes. This anime will take you to the beautiful yet cruel fantasy world. Despite how cruel it is, a story of a golem-human father-daughter bond is going to brighten everything up.
🎬 Story - 7/10
The story itself is pretty interesting and unique yet a bit scattered, the story is considered quite fast and short. However, I understand the reasons and it went fine, the
...
anime did a good job telling the story.
🎨 Animation - 7/10
I would say it is pretty average, reached my standard. However, from the overall perspective, the anime did a good job keeping the mood and tone of the anime stable, used color tones give off a magical and fantasy vibe all the way along with the story.
🔈 Sound - 6/10
Overall is pretty average, I would say nothing remarkable or noticeable. Personally, I am fine with the ending theme song, but not the opening theme song. After all, theme songs are mostly personal preferences.
🕶 Characters - 7/10
As for the 2 main characters, Golem and Somali. Golems, which are emotionless, pretty much like robots created just to do their duties, but what interesting is how a certain golem has chosen to throw away its duty to be with Somali. Not much past is told about Somali, but she is a character filled with emotions. She also has a curious nature, easily gets distracted by anything. To sum it up, Somali is one cute character. However, there is a problem with supporting characters, most of them are disposable characters, being created, used in 1-3 episodes, then gone.
🎉 Enjoyment - 7/10
I pretty much enjoy a show which has its uniqueness, which this anime has it. The thing I enjoyed the most is characters, Golem and Somali. In addition, golem parenting is one interesting thing, audiences will get to see how can an emotionless being became a father of a little human girl full of emotions. However, what I did not enjoy was how fast, short, and scattered the story is, along with some disposable characters. Anyway, what I am saying is that the anime could be better, but it is already enjoyable in its current state.

“It’s not a journey if you can go back.” - Hinata Miyake
🏆 10/10
Have you ever gone on a trip and it changed your life forever? This anime will take you to the journey to Antarctica of four high school girls who never knew each other before. Whether the answer is either yes or no, this anime is going to give you the inspiration of trying to accomplish something and a touching feeling in their friendship.
🎬 Story - 9/10
Despite the simplicity yet not bland, everything makes sense, and easy to understand. Although without complexity or twists, the story is pretty detailed composed. Their journey is surely
...
going to be enjoyed by the audiences.
🎨 Animation - 9/10
The pastel-color-styled art is very well suited to the theme of the anime, creating the perfect mood and tone. The art style itself is pretty mild and tender, giving audiences a more relaxed feeling and being eye-friendly.
🔈 Sound - 10/10
Opening and ending theme songs are pretty well suited to the theme of the anime, as well as the insert songs, which truly have a big impact, brightening up the overall mood and tone of the anime and most of the scenes. Soundtracks are also done very well.
🕶 Characters - 10/10
Characters are designed just at the perfect level, not too fancy, and not too plain. The screentime of each character is weighted pretty balanced, resulting in no concept of useless character. Character development is well recognized, as well as their background, motivation, and emotions are being presented effectively.
🎉 Enjoyment - 10/10
All the elements combined resulted in the perfect mood and tone of the anime. It was quite difficult to say what I enjoyed the most since I enjoyed literally everything, or saying that I enjoyed every second of it. In addition to the sections above, I personally enjoyed the voice acting performance, which is pretty remarkable, consisting of such famous and top-tier voice actors and actresses together in a single anime. Overall, Sora yori mo Tooi Basho is one impressive, inspiring, and magnificent anime.
