Kyon is an amazing protagoinst, snarky, handsome and charismatic and Haruhi is one of the few series in which I cannot pick a best girl, Haruhi and Nagato are just too amazing in their own way.

I can prove that Nagaru Tanigawa is alive as of Nov 28, 2017.

Here's a theory:

Nagaru Tanigawa is actually Ishida Sui. Nagaru Tanigawa apparently fell into a deep depression between Spring 2007 and Spring 2011, causing the Dissociation and Surprise Novels to be released 4 years apart. In the meantime, he did two things. One, he wrote Amnesia Labyrinth and had Natsume do the artwork, however, he started to deeply lust over her and thus he created "Ishida Sui" and drew up the short webcomics "The Tale of Longing for Sex" and "The Penisman" on his own. Now you might be thinking, "but Tanigawa was never an artist", well I propose that he honed his skills over those few years and from observing how Natsume draws her characters. His experience in writing and drawing manga has now shifted to mystery/ horror, in contrast to his heavy comedy and sci-fi focus of his novels. But he wasn't fully ready to express this hidden part of his psyche. It wasn't until he co-wrote the script for the Black Rock Shooter OVA in 2010, where he was able to show off his talent in writing compelling supernatural action integrated in a slice of life story. He was inspired and given new confidence to finish the latest installment of the Suzumiya Haruhi series, the Surprise Novel, which released in May of 2011, and in the meantime, drew the first Tokyo Ghoul one-shot for March of that year as well. After this, Nagaru Tanigawa then received confirmation that he can continue Tokyo Ghoul because his one-shot was well received and that he could start writing it again come September of that year. He was ecstatic upon hearing this news, so he decided to put Haruhi to the side until he thinks of a good way to end it and when he has a chance to write it again. From here, he is now "Ishida Sui", an amateur artist with ambition and a lust for horror. He might have also been jealous of the Monogatari series for becoming more popular than his own, so he decided to do something similar and instead of vampires, he wanted to make all of his characters ghouls instead. There's good indication that he didn't want to go too far with the whole tragedy theme at the beginning, and since he was an amateur artist, the man did his best not to fuck anything up in the beginning, doing something that would ultimately contradict his story later, remember, Tanigawa is a perfectionist at his core. But as he kept drawing more and more Tokyo Ghoul, his restraints and confidence grew stronger, his ideas, growing developing in a myriad of different ways, and he wound up writing Tokyo Ghoul longer... than he expected. Two years of writing Tokyo Ghoul, and he decided to take time out of his busy schedule to write the Random Numbers short story for Haruhi as his way to remember that he needs to get back to it. But his Tokyo Ghoul fame started to skyrocket with the release of the anime and the end of the first part of the manga in 2014. He felt compelled to continue with another part, thus he created Tokyo Ghoul:re and ever since, he found that he needed to complete this story for the sake of his own sanity and fanbase- only then, would he be able to have the courage to go back to his defining work- Haruhi.

Estimates predict that Haruhi will come back in 2020, or a year after whenever the last part of Tokyo Ghoul releases. Will we ever know if this is true, or false? Well, if the next novel includes deadly space wars like I predicted in this post, then we'd probably have a good indication.

But that's just a theory-- a cataclysmic overplayed GAME THEORY. Thanks for reading.

This lazy bastard deserves to get stabbed in his asshole..
I mean he probably isn't that lazy compared to me, but at least I didn't write a massively popular novel and stopped writing halfway through making hundreds of thousands of fans waiting for me to get my ass off of the chair and continue fucking writing.

The melancholy of haruhi suzumiya is garbage.
