The role of Producer sometimes is relegated by anime fans as just the funding manager and relation officer between the anime studio with their sponsor. But there is a time when the role of producer would take the foremost in production of anime and then when it need to defend the unknown and unmarketable. All the respect for the guy that standing up against his work college and Fuji TV just to bring to the screen, anime with too out of the box idea to be produced, especially during time when streaming service is largely non existent and TV rating rule what should be shown on the TV slot . Without him, maybe Kuuchuu Buranko, Saraiya Goyou, Tatami Galaxy, Hourou Musuko, Tsuritama, & Michiko to Hatchin would probably never see light of day.

>This generation's Masao Maruyama.

Shit I came here to say the same thing lol. The praise might be a bit much considering not all of Twin engine's anime have been good (imo), but hey a producer taking risks and producing more unique works that otherwise wouldn't have happened is definitely a good thing.
