A second season for the Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu (Skeleton Knight in Another World) television anime was announced at the 10th Anniversary Memorial Fest! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special: Night Dream Fest on Sunday. The event also revealed a teaser visual (pictured).

Produced by Studio Kai and HORNETS, the anime series adapting Enki Hakari's action fantasy light novel aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs.

Hakari began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2014. Overlap began publishing the series featuring illustrations by KeG the following June and published the tenth volume in March 2022. The light novel has a cumulative 3.2 million of its copies in circulation.

Akira Sawano began drawing a manga adaptation on Overlap's Comic Gardo web manga portal in February 2017. The 13th volume went on sale on April 25.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in September 2018 and published the tenth novel volume last April and the 12th manga volume on March 26. The 13th volume is set for a December 31 release.

@Softhenic03 read the novel, no rapes.

Very happy that my favorite novel got a 2nd season, I wasn't that happy with the 1st season, but vol4, 5, 6 (5, 6 especially) are really great and some of the best in the series, so I expect a lot from the 2nd season.

But will there be less rapey threats this time around?

Whoa!! I kind of had given up hope for this and Unwanted Undead Adventurer to get follow up seasons. Especially this, given its age.

I recall this not being anything astounding but the cast and story were solid fun. Can't wait!
