Mixed Feelings
Looks like this is gonna be my first review for this site. But this is not gonna take long, after all if you have read another short horror manga you will pretty much know how the experience will go. Personally I read manga like these when I have nothing to do and want a quick read. And as that, this manga works quiet well.

The story is short and self contained, and not over ambitious at all. What is presented is not bad, but enjoyable for what it is. The biggest strength this piece has is its art, just like a lot of other horror ...

Story (7): the story is pretty straightforward. Not revolutionary or anything but it aware if ut and not trying to be something else. So they use that to their advantage. The ending and revelation is quite predictable but what makes me enjoy this is the atmosphere. Idk how but they really got the disturbing factor spot on it gave me chills at every chapter. Just a simple depiction of horrifyingly big swollen bug bite, thousands of insects crawling all over your body and attacking your pets, relatable daily things like that and dramatise that just really works for horror. I like how it doesn't ...

Let me first say I had high hopes for this manga, because the art is truly beautiful, but sadly it falls into the category of horror mangas with great art and mediocre everything-else. It is enjoyable, but with that kind of art it could be great, and it's not.

Story: 4
The basic concept is actually alright, and it could be good. The problem is that after a while the manga is not about the story anymore, it's about the horror scenes. The pacing was kind of weird for me at times and the science of the whole thing is pretty silly, you can see it ...

tl;dr: Arbitrary nonsense.

This manga felt incredibly terribly written. The two characters that were probably meant to be the most important, Ryoichi and Munakata, are an inconsistent mess, and as such their relationship which I suppose was meant to be the core of the manga, is similarly incredibly arbitrary and doesn’t really feel like it has any worth at all. I use the words “probably” and “suppose” because this manga is so random that I’m not entirely sure they are meant to be the focus as it's not like they really got the proper focus main characters should, but considering everything else matters even less I ...

If you are a Junji Ito fan or have a thing for macabre tales, this is it for you. I'm hoping you're not squeamish. As the title says, this is an insect princess tale. The pacing starts decently but stays slightly stuck in the middle and comes undone near the end. The art is to die for. The artist knew how to make the female lead eerily beautiful, and the character relations are constructed decently for the short read this manga is. It'll take you a day, a warm blanket and... maybe not a snack.
9/10 due to pacing issues somewhere around the middle and ...
