In short- one of the most confusing stories I've read in a long time, but I would highly recommend it to any vocaloid fan.
It follows the story of the collection of songs to an extent (I would watch/listen to them if I were you, it would make the story a bit easier to follow) however it doesn't follow them perfectly.
