To be very honest it did take me a while to really get into the story. In the first few volumes the intimacy seemed 100% one sided (to me at least) which gave me a weird feeling. It wasn’t non consensual but for me it really walked a bit too close to that line. Due to this I actually ended up dropping it for a bit.

However the later volumes are so f-ing cute that it totally makes up for the weird start. You really see the main characters go through personal growth which makes for a story that you just cannot put down. There ...

Almost exactly 1 year ago, I watched the anime. Here I am, reviewing the manga, after reading it over the span of a week. I'm not some guy who only reads yuri btw, I only read this because it is ranked 48th best manga according to MAL, so I'm reading it to see just how good it is.

Story: For this story, I gave it an 8. It's very good. Since it's a love story, I look at the emotional maturity of the characters very carefully. The emotions are on point for a span of students in high school. One of my only criticisms is the ...

Warning: No real Spoilers ahead but you could conclude a few things character/story-wise out of the things I wrote if you read the manga to a certain point
(Sorry for bad English, prob. a few mistakes ahead)

Story 9/10

In the story of YagaKimi, there is no real Villain/ Antagonist apart from their feelings. It makes the story very wholesome without losing the Drama feeling
(perfect Shojo Ai/Yuri recipe imo c: ). This leads to an end where everyone, yes also Sayaka, is happy (Was very happy for her when I read "it" in ch. 45). Im a bit worried about Maki-kun tho but im sure he ...

Came for the yuri, stayed for the feels.

A short manga, but an impactful one nonetheless. I felt that the theme of yuri is a hit or miss, it can either be done poorly and too pretentiously, or it can be done spectacularly. This manga was one which did it spectacularly. There are many sweet moments within the 50 chapters of this manga, and many 𝓼𝓹𝓲𝓬𝔂 moments as well (I can say my yuri loving heart was satisfied)

Enough of the jokes, let's get serious.

The theme of loving yourself, getting into a relationship, falling in love: themes which many people have thought about in ...

I wasn't really a big fan of romance or yuri in general, but this was one of the most engaging if not the most engaging romance novel I have ever read. While this is undoubtedly a yuri manga, I would say it is deep down closer to a coming of age story and I do not believe that the story would be impacted not too much if the main couple was a male/female or male/male. It also is a story that applies to finding ones self and it asks what love truly is, something that most romance manga miss. I will break down the core ...

YagaKimi is an unforgettable experience.

I have never read a Yuri like this, it's a breath of fresh air, the characters, the plot, the ending, I don't think I could ever find a manga that could make me feel this way.

I have always liked Yuri, it's a genre that warms my heart and leaves a cold void behind it. Love has always been so unreachable to me, although YagaKimi made me realise a lot of things about love.

The romance in YagaKimi genuinely is one of the best romance stories I have ever experienced, it all felt so intimate, gentle and heartwarming.

The art is really breathtaking also, ...

Bloom Into You is not like other works in the world of shoujo-ai. It is the closest to perfection when you compare it with other works in the same genre. Shoujo-ai/yuri tends to be under a shadow, known for mediocre works that are filled with lots of unnecessary fanservice, melodrama, and a lot of other negative traits. These kinds of stories can be enjoyed, but usually, they depict same-sex relationships in a very unhealthy way that turns a lot of people away.

This manga is by far, the one that comes closest to depicting a relationship between two girls in such a real way. It ...

WARNING: English is not my primary language.

Monologue, monologue and more monologue.

Another manga that has its drama 100% explained by monologues in the first chapters, nothing is left for the reader to interpret; it's amazing the condescension that Japanese authors have with their readers. The concept of subtext seems to be something from another planet for many mangas. All internal conflicts are EXPLAINED in the FIRST TWO volumes. These monologues come out of nowhere and deliver everything important about the characters.

The characters and their dynamics are quite complex, so it's a shame that the author chose to do it this way, instead of slowly exploring, unfolding ...

This is my first comment on my anime list so i don't know how useful it will be. Now for the sake of simplicity, there was nothing that made me wonder about such love among the manga that I read, a masterpiece that is perfect in manga romance, but this manga is another, my heart hurts right now, why did I read it, but it is a kind of manga that I said I read. I wish the studio had the money to shoot the 2nd season of the anime, but unfortunately not everything goes as we would like...

Bloom Into You is magical, hence one of the best romance anime/manga I've ever seen/read. It catches everything perfectly. Both main characters have deep outstanding connection. It's a hidden masterpiece. Even non-Yuri lovers are going to love it bc it doesn't have cringe fanservice or cringe harem. No character toxic or troublemaker. It's mostly focused on romance and love. I recommend every romance lover to watch it or read it. Both manga and anime catches everything perfectly. The manga ends on chapter 45 and gosh it has such a satisfying and great ending than most of the romance these days. Ofc I do like sad ...

*My very first Manga Review and Minor Spoilers*

Despite from the lack of not adapting the rest of the manga into an anime, I still love reading how Yuu Koito and Touko Nanami adapting to their life even though I'm subconsciously know that this perfect yuri manga is now done. I feel sad, but a relaxing happy ending wouldn’t leave me behind.

Yagate Kimi ni Naru or Bloom Into You is the highest rated Yuri manga, yet is rare to be seen by many people. In spite of girls love, not a lot of people are into this genre, but it has one of the kind story. ...

As an autistic girl, this manga is surprisingly relatable! Wearing different masks in front of different people to the point of losing your sense of self, feeling like you have to be really good at everything (especially academics) to make up for your disabilities because otherwise you have no value as a human being, struggling with personal space and boundaries, trouble with identifying and expressing your own feelings...

I wish the manga had been slightly longer and had explored Yuu and Touko's relationship more - they only get together 5 chapters before the ending, with the final chapter being a time skip. It feels like Miyako ...

Everything is a 10/10. Except character, we can all agree that Touko is a little selfish- Okay she is REALLY selfish. But the personality trait comes form unwanted trauma. Usually with these kinds of things, it cliché. But Yagate kimi ni naru really further develops this trauma building a great character like Touko. And the way Yuu interacts with Touko just really makes sense, based off of her personality. These two character creates a really great story to both read and watch. With every chapter and episode there is meaning and development. The ending was satisfying, wish there was more, like a slice of life ...

A beautiful story of adolescence and learning to grow up and understand love, Bloom Into You is a beautiful 45-chapter delight that includes many heartfelt emotions that made my heart throb and made me want to cry. It’s such a beautiful story, and finishing it has left me very satisfied. Though it pains me that the story could not last longer, I’m glad it ended on the highest note.
If you can, definitely give this a read and try to support the official release, because this manga is truly, a work of art. There’s so many elements of the story that I truly enjoy, and ...

I wanna make this review shot and all because I don't want to waste anyone's time so I just want to get straight to the point. I will fight anyone but I think this is the BEST, and again let me repeat it, the BETS romance manga or series in general in this medium of entertainment to actually give a sense of realistic events in it. The story is so well done and I think everyone should try and read it and not judge it because of it's genre. Ut has the best art to even match up to it. I will never forget this ...

One of the most brilliant things in this manga is definitely that every character has got something special about themselves. Even for those apart from Yuu and Touko, they're clearly not bystander but an important part that forms the whole story. The author did not just use them once and ignore or forget them in the rest of the narrative. You can literally see the change and development in each of them. It simply makes everyone so adorable.

Arguably the best romantic story I've ever seen. Arguably the best romantic story I've ever seen. Arguably the best romantic story I've ever seen. Arguably the best romantic ...

Not just a great yuri manga but it's a great romance manga. There are many Yuri manga out there but I believe Bloom into You handles the genre with great tact and tastefulness. The characters deal with the struggles of self-identity, falling in love and how to handle a relationship. The character development is on point on all the characters, especially the main two girls. The art provides a great expression of the characters faces while also showing visual motifs that help get across what the characters are feeling. The pacing feels perfect and gets right to the point. At the time of writing this, ...

Please don't be scared away by the "10" I gave this. If you check my profile, you'll see I rarely give 9 to manga/LN I've read, even less 10.

This blew me away. This is a manga that made me consciously think about how goddamn good it was while I was reading it.
Since I don't feel like writing full paragraphs, I'll be listing bullet points.

If you don't want spoilers, skip to the TL;DR at the end

This is the best shoujo-ai *thing* I've ever seen, period. Everything in this manga is sublime, and you just need to see it for yourself to see what I'm talking about. How the story revolves around the complexity of love towards someone, how the characters in this manga are so lovable and add more to the ambience of this manga, and how there's no stereotypical r*** scenes like you would find in other shoujo-ai mangas. Oh, man, you words can't do justice for my whole experience on this manga. The anime did a superb job in enhancing the experience for anime-watchers with its directing and ...
