Bloody Monday
Volume 1

Somewhere in Vladivostok, Russia, a deal has been successfully completed. Danger looms over the horizon; a deadly virus—capable of killing within three hours of infection—has now fallen into the hands of a mysterious woman named Maya.

Enter Fujimaru Takagi, a seemingly ordinary student at Mishiro Academy in Japan. However, very few know that he was famed for exposing crimes and corruption of high-profile individuals with his brilliant hacking powers—the infamous "Falcon" who had abruptly vanished from the cyberworld. Only the members of Third-I, a top-secret division of the Public Security Intelligence Agency led by Fujimaru's father Ryunosuke Takagi, and his friend Otoya Kujou know of his past.

When a KGB agent is murdered in Japan, the only clue to his death is a memory chip found at the scene of the crime. Fujimaru is recruited by Third-I to decode the chip, which contains a video file of an event called the "Christmas Massacre." Investigating the incident further, Fujimaru's father uncovers more information about the homicide and a mysterious code, "Bloody Monday," before being framed for the murder of his superior. Now, it is up to the hacker Fujimaru to utilize his expertise to help Third-I prevent the spread of terror and destruction in Japan, while attempting to clear his father's name.

Bloody Monday tried to be a suspense-thriller anime which involves a lot of "black hat hacking". Although they try very hard to use accurate terms, anything involving computer crimes tends to be misunderstood by traditional storytellers, and that is still the case here.

Lots of things are almost accurate, and for that reason, I got sort of annoyed with the series.

Another annoying thing was that the "experts" often make the same novice mistakes, over and over again. This might be accurate if they were run of the mill government workers, but, they're supposed to be elite, highly trained specialists.

On the other hand, they ...

Bloody Monday is a shounen mistery crap manga. And maybe a rip-off of 20th Century Boys.

So, there's this chick who works for a secret terrorist organization and she spread a deadly virus in Russia that apparently drains the blood out of a person. Hence the name Bloody Sunday (or maybe the author just likes U2, who knows.)

The main character, Fujimaru Takagi is a high-schooler with a great secret (of course). He is the person behind the internet alias 'Falcon', the greatest hacker in the world! And he actually hacked into a porn website when he was 12, so he's like, totally awesome...

Anyway, his father ...

Well ,its been 5 years since I finished the epic showdown of mind games between l and kira. And I am really bored with those lame tricks that new “deathnote wannabe” mangas are trying to pull off…..speaking truthfully while geas was great but to me it fell short while comparing to deathnote according to those beautifull mind chess between two intellectuals .Keeping aside the adventurous types like one piece and naruto , my expectation from short spanned thriller animes or mangas are actually how much intellectual property is included in the show without being lame on the context and concept .

so far it has done ...
