99% Love

This story has a cute premise where a girl hasn't yet kissed her boyfriend of six months who, while extremely caring and sweet, is rather clueless. But can he dance! And she loves to watch him dance! So she decided the six month anniversary is the opportune moment to PG13-consumate their relationship!

Ria looks rather young considering she's supposed to be a high schooler, same goes for Jiro. While the art wasn't mature or edgily romantic when compared to Minami Kanan or Shiiba Nana, it was allright. Both characters' expressions end up looking very endearing in almost each panel, and you can sympathise with Ria's insecurity ... and doubts. You also see a fair bit of character development with Jiro, or as much as 30 pages can allow at any rate. The manga shows how people who love each other care for the other's happiness even if they aren't together. Touching in bits. Fair enough read, though there are plenty out there better than this.

This series may be shorter than my typical manga series, but the title stood out, and I decided, however short it may be, that I want to read it, and find out why it was entitled with a 99%. I found out rather surprisingly.
I though the 99% meant that the girl didn't really love the guy at 100% percent, or that she wasn't 100% percent sure of what she truly felt for the guy.
It surprised me to know that they already had a relationship. So when I read on, I found out that Ria thought Jirou cared more about his dancing than his own girlfriend. ... I suppose that Jirou rocked in dance, but since he didn't move, I was unsure. He was kinda cool looking though, and passed for Bishounen.
The last part moved me, when Ria finally got the kiss that completed their love, and however short, it was satisfying.

First off, I would like to say the art is really good. Both characters are so cute that even though the author said they're both 16, I feel like they're 12. The drawings are nicely done.

The story isn't really an original, but you will find yourself hooked up after 5 pages. There's not much of a story here, just a girl wanted to be kissed. But I find it awesome how I got sucked in the manga even if it's just a manga.

I recommend this for people who just wanna see a short romance manga with a really happy ending :)
