The Shogakukan Manga Award (小学館漫画賞, Shōgakukan Mangashō) is one of Japan's major manga awards, sponsored by Shogakukan Publishing. It has been awarded annually for serialized manga since 1955 and features candidates from a number of publishers. Special awards are also occasionally given out for outstanding work, lifetime achievement, and so forth.

When people try to explain why they love a manga so much, you might find the usual "I love the characters", "really like the art", "world building!!". Which, by no means is a bad thing, but an element of manga that is not very commonly talked about it panelling. It's very easy to confuse composition and panelling, but hopefully this list will help you experience the true beauty of how important panel structure is to maintain consistent flow whilst reading!

Panelling, Composition, Art and Negative Space are all taken into consideration when adding to this list. Enjoy!!

For part 2: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/19694
For sequel series: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/2415

This is only the series with over 100 chapters, there are many more titles available with less than 100 chapters which are also great series worth reading, this is only for those who might want some longer series.

It only says website in the title, but there’s also an app, however not every series is available on the app.

No sequel series were added to the list (Tokyo ghoul, Jojo’s), because they’re in the sequel series interest stack (and there’s no room anyway).

You can read all of the series with every chapter for $2.

The only series without every chapter available for free are:
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Chapters are added as the volumes are released) NOT LIKELY TO GET ANY MORE VOLUMES.

These are the series only available on the website:
Golden Kamuy
Jigokuraku (Hell’s Paradise)

Sometimes, all I need is a fun group of friends having fun together to have a good time. Here are all the fun groups of friends that made me sad to say goodbye. All genres but leans heavily romance.

Number of sales and date that number was acquired from in notes for each. Some of them I have personally estimated a higher figure than the date says.

This is for your friends who only know manga through anime or only relate it to shonen and H, it’s not necessarily directed at a “manga beginner” but for someone who wants to understand it better as a medium. More than 1 volume, well drawn, easy to follow yet interesting visual and narratively.

Some aspects I considered:
- Little to no fanservice and tropes that might break the immersion
- Cinematic vibes
- Down to earth, realistic characters
- Cross-cultural appeal
- Human drama

These are all some pretty good shounen manga! Some of these are pretty popular while others are pretty niche but I decided that as long as it’s shounen, I’ve read the manga and liked it, I added it to the list. That means there are fantasy series, delinquent series, isekai, sports manga, and etc. I hope you find something interesting to read in here! Have a blast!
