Writing a review for dragon half is like trying to review a Picasso painting. Sure you could try to convince yourself that there's meaning in small bits of it, and analyze all the finer assets of it, but you wouldn't be fooling anyone, because all it really is, IS an assortment of random things. Dragon Half really is just a long list of one liners and punch lines, and it surprisingly works really well.

Firstly, as I've said in other reviews, you shouldn't walk into a amngalike this expecting some sort of fulfilling and original plot. Its a simple slapstick comedy, so the story is more ... of a side dish to the rest of the comedic dinner. That being said the plot really is rather basic... girl likes man, barrier separates man and woman, woman goes on epic journey to find magic plot convenient key that will break barrier etc etc. Its simple, unoriginal and all together unexciting, but again it IS a comedy so the enjoyment doesn't really decrease because of it. The art is pretty poor acctually, but it is pretty old so I imagine it wasn't bad for the time.

The characters are... in one word... RETARDED. Each and every character in this short series is a complete idiot, and the only reason the good guys do so well is because the bad guys are just bigger idiots than the main group (although the elf gives me doubts). Of course the fact that they are complete idiots is what makes this series so damn enjoyable. They blunder there way through the land, starting fights with demons, arguing amongst themselves, or drooling over dick saucer (who wins the award for funniest name in the galaxy) and you just want to slap them silly each time (while sporting a huge grin of course). Each character is simple, one dimensional, and again... stupid, but at the same time so gosh darn likable.

Overall, it really is quite an enjoyable little manga. The humor is so brash, and slapstick that you can't help but laugh, and keep reading to see what they'll do next. The sheer and utter madness of it all will make this manga a hard one for me to forget. Read it if your in for a few chuckles and you definitely won't be disappointed.

If u like comedy and been around the bush in the fantasy setting then u will love this manga. The charactors are unforgetable the plot is actually unique and reading it is just all around fun, i will not ruin the plot, but i sugguest all fantasy fans give this a try, this is my first review so plz someone write a better one for this great manga.

This is the adaptation of the first chapters of the homonymous manga. It is meant to spur you into getting the manga, as it is left intentionally incomplete.

STORY SECTION: 710

The story takes place in a JRPG world, where everything is a weird mix of the middle ages (castles, dungeons, roaming monsters) and of the modern day world (airplanes, music concerts, televisions). Everyone is dressed in the Japanese sense of medieval fashion, with lots of leather and quite body-revealing outfits.

Mink is a sexy, scantly dressed Dragon-Half (half dragon/half human) and has a crush on ... a bishounen dragon slayer/pop idol. She embarks on a journey to find a magic potion that can turn her into a normal human girl, since she inherited horns, fiery breath and reptilian tail from her dragonic mother. But many want to kill her. A sleazy king who wants to seduce her mother, a princess who wants to keep the bishounen for herself, the bishounen himself because he is a dragon slayer and the minions of the supreme demon lord.

Although it is slapstick/erotic comedy, there are many story elements and revelations that make this little series interesting.

ART SECTION: 5/10
Comedy and fan service are the center of attraction and everything else around them is left intentionally amateurish. The graphics are terribly simple and the characters get really chibi when something funny is going on (which is like 70% of total time). When ecchi scenes come along, the body anatomy of the girls improves a lot (proving that the mangaka was not amateur) and we get decent fan service. But even then, the girls simply look kawai (big eyes, innocent look) and not realistic; so don’t expect Playboy realism.

CHARACTER SECTION: 8/10
They are all quite silly; you won’t find a serious character here. All characters are funny representations of JRPG stereotypes. As far as classes go, most are specialized fighters or wizards. As far as races go, we have several typical members of all the renowned races (human, dragon, elf, ooze, demon) as well as hybrids of them (half dragon, half ooze). All the major ones get a decent backdrop story and character development and all of them are fleshes out nicely. For a comedy, it packs a very big and interesting cast. The love-struck Mink, her unfaithful womanizing father, her lesbian friend and her hard to get love interest are very funny and above average characters.

VALUE SECTION: 6/10
Medium chances of rereading it, as it is mostly light and silly.

ENJOYMENT SECTION: 8/10
Depending on your personal taste of humour and ecchiness, the series varies from hilarious to lukewarm. I personally loved it and enjoyed it enough to be interested for more.

_Dragon half certainly had immense potential to become a good work of the gag humor genre THE MASTERPIECE OF FANTASY with complete adaptations, However the only problem with all this is that it is sad to know that very few people know about this work ...

I'm not much for reading gag-humor manga but the story is really fun and manages to convey a certain message, we follow Mink a half-dragon girl who wants to marry a ... big blond typical gentleman called "Dick Sauser" and then she leaves on a journey to get an artifact that will help her with her problem, but because she is half her dragon, people have a certain prejudice with her, this is involving the kingdom where Dick sauser lives, his allies end up being all against Mink and even sauser himself ends up being against her in several and several moments of the story. And it generates around that, But I wonder why the FUCK would someone who has such cool powers want to give in to such...normal desires? Does that mean that sometimes we give in to our desires for "lesser" things?, maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's it anyway!

The characters are pretty cool too I don't have much to comment, Mink is somewhat dedicated her father is a complete pervert and her companions are worth gold.


•Art 8

The art of Dragon half is quite delightful to look at, We will usually find cute expressions, Girls with thick thighs (almost all of them have them if I'm not mistaken)
and panels where the characters are kind of 'comically detailed' from time to time, the confrontation panels have a very comedic aspect too without lacking the charm of gag humor.

Dragon Half is simply a very fun and enjoyable adventure to read. , He works with the genres very well leaving you grateful and laughing I had a very pleasant experience of this work, Any time I will finish it
