Synopsis

On the world that consists of a single giant continent called Dokkanon, most people have some kind of special ability. Those who have a high-ranking ability, such as the ability to control water, are respected and granted much power. Those with low-ranking abilities, such as Nana, who controls bananas, and her best friend Ringo, who has super-powerful legs, have very little power in society. When Nana and Ringo were kids, they were awed by stories from Ringo's adventurer father about a land called Oz, where a god lived who could make any wish come true. Nana and Ringo swore that they would go adventuring together when they were adults. But as time went by, Ringo's father vanished while adventuring, and Ringo became much more aware of the social stigma associated with adventurers. Will the two of them find the strength and courage to follow through with their promise?

It was awesome. Could have picked up such dirty amounts of money it is almost an embarrassment. It could have been a hit.

Alas... it should have been one.

The premise involves freakin' bananas and a girl who can wield them without making it sexual. What the fuck more could you possibly ask for? It is definitely interesting with its strange premise. It is wonderfully cliched (and I mean positively), and I dare to say it is much like One Piece in quite a few ways, with not annoying but fine ecchi and many cute chicks. Mixed Feelings
This should be my favorite manga of all time. It features a pair of badass female protagonists (a personal favorite character type of mine) and keeps you guessing whether or not Nana is actually as dumb as she seems. Ringo is an enjoyable straight (wo)man to Nana's weirdness, and I found them super enjoyable. The artwork and setting are both fantastic, and it had the makings of becoming a One Piece tailor-made for people who, like me, can't get into One Piece for one reason or another.

Then it ended.

The ending ruined the whole experience for me. It was rushed, went nowhere, left plot ...

Non mi sentirei di consigliare questo manga, poiché mi ha lasciato insoddisfatto a livello di storia e di trama.
Banana no Nana è disegnato bene, molto bene, e solo per il disegno mi sento di dargli almeno la sufficienza, per il resto un enorme delusione.

La trama risulta già vista in molti altri manga di genere simile, i poteri sono alcuni simpatici altri strani a dir poco. La protagonista, per esempio, combatte con delle banane che possono diventare un arma di combattimento, e alla fine del manga avranno anche un'altra maliziosa funzione.
Come già scritto ci sono anche dei poteri accettabili.
