With a long ass generic title like this manga, I didn't have high hopes for this manga. It'll be your every other trashy guilty pleasure of the "reincarnated as a second-rate villain" story. Except... This is actually f*cking hilarious. Every single development of this manga was also written nicely, and none of the moments were boring despite there being similar training arcs in 100 other mangas.
This manga is effective due to its comedic elements. The humor of this manga is next level, as it embraces extremes in the plot and characters. Instead of a typical story that relies on plot, forcefully inserting extreme character archetypes
...
like yanderes, this manga fully embraces it by capitalizing the extremes, turning them into jokes. As such, all the characters are lovable and unique in their own right.
This also includes the MC because he is absolutely hilarious. His interactions with some of the characters come off like "depreciating" cringeworthy humor, and I love every single moment of it. He gets bullied, but he's dense. He's basically the perfect character in a misunderstanding manga.
Though that is not to say that the plot is an afterthought. Yes, it is cliche because what can you really do with the "reincarnated as a villain" manga that is unique at this point? However, the edge this has over the others is that it is well-paced. It's on the "faster side" of things by including time skips, etc., but it doesn't drag out any plot points, and it gets straight to the point. Also, the manga creates a rather unique plotline solely due to the extremes in its comedic elements.
The art also adds a lot of personality to the story, as I definitely would not have enjoyed this manga as much as I did if it had the same generic art style across a hundred other similar mangas. From the facial expressions to the actual fight scenes, everything was beautifully done to complement the story.
As someone who has read one too many "reincarnated as a villain" tropes for anyone's good, this is definitely a gold-tier find. Even if you don't enjoy the premise (well, first of all, how could you not?!?), It's a hilarious read that doesn't feel jarring at any point.
