I really wanted to like this manga more. I enjoy the art style, though it a masterpiece it is really enjoyable with interesting character designs and some well-done panels. Continuing on the positives and art topic, paneling is easy to follow, and action does not get confusing even with a lot of events unfolding.
The story is pretty straightforward and generally, just fine. The main character has a (to me) annoying catch phrase, which is often repeated, and overall is just defined by brooding. That isn't necessarily new in manga - in matter of fact that is the issue. If you are just going to be

the brooding "good at fighting" main character, you need more interesting elements that follow you around. I think the side characters were fine to okay, but just weren't endearing or interesting enough to carry the narrative. For quite a few chapters you play "separated and back together again" which doesn't add much of anything to the reader.
Overall, it's okay. Nothing to search out, but if you run across it or have an interest in the art style it won't hurt to read it. I didn't find it as captivating though as thought it would be. If I open any of the volumes up to any of the pages I love the art style, but all together the magic just wasn't there for me.
