This manga is low key genius: The combination of the always stale dungeon master trope combined with a half-committed main character makes the story’s directive so much more enjoyable and suspenseful than the traditional take on the “hand-held dungeon master who gets supported by the dragon waifu fmc” in every chapter.
Surprisingly, this manga’s plot is great — of course, there are some ridiculously “poorly-written” developments here and there, but it tends to add to the manga’s atmosphere and enjoyment by not taking itself too seriously at times; in other words, it adds a bit of necessary comedy to the story.
