Story:
The big message that this manga wants to convey is that never talk to strangers. And never ever tell them that you have a little sister. And if you tell them by mistake, then be ready to flee the city, country and even Earth in order to save your life and of others.
The biggest asset of this manga can be described in a single sentence-that it is disgustingly creepy. The pace is quite fast which adds to the eeriness and helps in transforming the same world of joy and hope into that of a living hell in just a couple of chapters.

This story was greaking insane and TERRIFYING!!!! If you're a chocking do NOT read this book at twelve a clock in your bed like I did. But if you want to not sleep and would want to start sleeping with a night light again, go ahead! If that's the case, this manga is perfect for you!
Moral of the story: don't talk to strangers and if there is a little girl in your garbage in a dress, run like hell and don't look back. May 31, 2011
Two words: Holy. S***.
Despite being easily scared, I love the horror genre and have read and watched a fair amount of it. Considering my love of the Meakashi-hen in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, I figured a manga couldn't be much bloodier. Boy was I wrong, Story: 9/10 The story is very good, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat with fast paced, unpredictable horror. Unfortunately, there were a couple parts that I found somewhat boring and, being somewhat squeamish, some of the horror scenes freaked me out a bit more than I would've liked. Overall, it is very good though. Art: 10/10 Creepy, memorable and ... Mar 11, 2011

NO SPOILARS :
in the beginning I was very excited to read it , I'm ok with reading horror , but this one made me feel colic a lot , and some times grosses me , the art was good , and the story was good too , but the END was such a waste for all that , I didn't like the way thee things end up with , it can end with a better way actually . after finish reading it I felt a little bit disappointing , cuz it end with such an unsatisfying way . the Lolita girl really pissed me off , ... Ibitsu, for the most part, is a slasher/stalker film in manga form and comes with two extra shorts. All three stories (both Ibistu's main and bonus ones) are centred around urban legends. This is the only thing linking them together.
The main story is interesting enough (though 2 other shorts are included. I'll go over those later) and develops at a decent pace. Without going into details, there are questions that you will have that the story will seemingly answer, only to bring about more questions. However, through a twist toward the end, all these revelations are reversed, closing up the new questions and reopening the ... Jan 29, 2018
Ibitsu is a pretty solid horror manga with a premise that borders on cheesy but knows where the line is and doesn't dare cross it. This was my biggest concern going into this, and I was satisfied with the result. I wouldn't call this an amazing manga, but it doesn't have any critical flaws that make it annoying or boring.
Pros: -it's got some good slasher moments, it you're into that sort of thing -the character design of the loli in question is good -it isn't too long, 15 chapters is a good amount for this manga. Not long enough to be drawn out, not short enough to ... Oct 1, 2018
Story & Art -
The amount of times I had to close this book based off the "Oh hell no reactions" before turning over to the next page was more than once. Ibitsu does very well in building tension ultimately resulting in a climax of horror which is often unexpected it its delivery. We knows its coming, its just we don't know the method in which it will happen. To me, I found this refreshing and exciting. Thus supplementing the thrill and horror this story gives us as the reader. Though the art style might come across simplistic for some, I never found myself feeling this ... May 23, 2019
This manga reads like a horror B-movie. If that sounds fun to you, pick this up. As a whole, I'd say the quality is lacking, in both story and art. There were some instances of good horror pacing and paneling, but as a whole the suspense felt lacking. The art is as basic as it gets for a good 75% of the manga, but sometimes it improves dramatically for some of the more gory or stylized scenes. These can look shockingly good, but it's mostly because of how bland the rest of it is. Still, if you're in the mood for a quick, fun, slasher

Art: 8/10
Had no issues with the art, the psychological horror and just the gore, in general, was portrayed very well. Points down for the occasional bad panel, other than that it was good! Storyt: 8/10 I genuinely enjoyed the plot, at first it was kinda stereotypical but it picks up at the end (WARNING: IT HAS CONTENT RELATING TO S/H, PHYSICAL ABUSE, EMOTIONAL ABUSE AND TORTURE) Characters: 7/10 Honestly, I actually liked some of the characters. Point off because of the sexualisation and fanservice of female characters ... Jan 16, 2012
Imagine that your'e a dude throwing your garbage out in the middle of the night and you suddenly see this girl in lolita cosplay. She is dirty and has a disgusting smell, and she suddenly ask you "do you need a little sister?" What will be your answer?
Having an ideal little sister that acts like your girlfriend or more than that is something that we big brothers want! Am I right?! But it is really impossible in reality. This manga shows us the dark side of siblings, big brother abusing her little sister, disciplining it too much, or vice versa. Aug 3, 2013
Oh My Gosh!!! Talk abut an amazing story and getting me scared out of my pants. This book definitely did that. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter and the next just to see what would happen to our main character. Would the lady take his sister? Would he escape from the woman? I had to know what would happen and the ending was awesome!!!!

I liked this manga very much, however, its not for everyone. If your not a particular fan of gore and sad stories and stay clear, but you should try new things once in a while. Anyway it is a short manga being around 13 chapters long, that's including the 2 extra story chapters they put int. (didn't bother reading those was too into the story).
The story itself was explained in the end not leaving any gaping plot wholes. Personally it made me want to keep on reading and reading, but it finished, however i liked the way it ended and i think it's great the ... Mar 13, 2012
The manga is over-all outstanding for me. When I read every chapter, there is always something to look forward to or something unexpected.
The story is horrifyingly good... It feels like you're seeing a horror movie in every page. The 'Strange Lolita' is a character expected to have the characteristics of what she is. That is, her appearance, role, and personality is well described as the antagonist, a psychopath. The protagonist or the victim, does not only initiate himself into being too much stereotypical- that is, there are many of his 'fight to survive' actions that I find un-stereotypical. With that, the manga depicts fear- the horrifyingly outstanding way. Dec 31, 2012
Wow. This is the kind of horror manga I've been looking for for a long time.
The type that gets you excited, scared and wanting more. Ibitsu is completely different from those usual gore-without-plot horror mangas. The story was great, the art was good, I liked the characters, and I enjoyed almost every single moment of this manga. I loved the creepiness of Ibitsu and the way that it tortured some of its characters was brilliant. The fact that I was getting happy when people were getting hurt made me realize two things: 1- The gore and torture in this manga is wonderful. ... Jan 30, 2024
It's a horror manga thats for sure.
It's a interesting premise, a creepy gothic lolita girl who tries to become peoples little sisters. This manga does contain a lot of things some people might not enjoy (self harm, torture, a lot of gore) So if you're looking for edgy then this is perfect for you. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a thrilling, scary, and edgy experience. It has some great, terrifying art which is pretty consistent throughout all the series. If you are however looking for a complete indepth story then maybe stay away. There are a ton of plot holes and ... Mar 16, 2016
First Impressions: The series had great pacing at the beginning, first chapter was brilliantly portrayed and easily kept me interested. Not too many characters, which made things simple and easy to keep track of. The urban legend that is the main premise of the story was explained very early on, which made things easier. Overall, the first few chapters do a fantastic job of drawing readers in.
Things I liked: The way the story started, it jumped right in, Good suspense, The origin/backstory of the Lolita ,Pacing, THE PLOT TWIST Things I didn't like: tory needed more empathies on the relationship between the protagonist the other characters, ... Aug 18, 2011
I have to give this mange a 8/10 because I loved the story but i didn't like the art that much. This was my first time reading horror manga I usually don't read horror because I am mostly into romance ,but I decided to give it a try.Well while I was reading this it was dark at night quiet ... big mistake. As I read deeper into the book I realized how messed up and twisted it is and I started to get extremely scared o.o.Anyway the legend which the story is surrounding around is about a creepy girl dressed in lollita

I recommend this title if you are a young and love horrors, but not a sophisticated reader
hm - I respect this Title for not making a maniac mythical, the maniac is real - I do not respect this title because they made a maniac in plot armor (it may be interesting, but the author did not defeat him ... as if) In fact, the author is trying to explain the plot armor, in the end, as if hints that not everything is so simple. What scare us? This is torture porn (although I, as the main expert on horror in my village, I can say that "torture porn" ... Sep 26, 2021
I like the whole urban legend thing, however you could see the plot twist coming and all deaths was predictable. It was more gross than scary in my opinion.
The characters were mostly generic and boring, love "the strange lolitas" style but she is just disturbing not scary. I don't like the plotwist since it's predictable, feel like they left out an opportunity. We never got to know her true identity we just know she kills people to become their sister and be the ideal siblings however we already knew kind of that from the start... I feel like it's chaotic and a mess. Most of ... |
