romances including models, designers and fashion

They're pretty but they both have scary looks. One is branded "Sadako" with the creepy atmosphere everywhere she goes and whatever she does, and the other, someone with a menacing smile in front of a camera. Both are a great read, good character development, and yes ... both are dense when it comes to love.

Both of the main characters from Plastic girl and Nosatsu Junkie have a passion of modeling but get too nervous infront of a camera and along comes a boy who help her come over that habit.

both important people are crossdressing. One is a boy (nousatsu junkie) and the other one is a girl (teppen !!). Also both don't want to be discovered by someone else.

They both include guys pretending to be girls for a certain reason who have a different personality when being themselves, and a girl who knows their secret.

Both series have a boy digiusing himself as a girl in fashion industry and a girl, who happens to find out about his secret and starts cooperating with the him despite his nasty character. Eventually they develop feeling towards each other. Both mangas are comedies and are very romantic.

The guy cross-dresses in both occasions and both manga's can be funny and sweet. Both are definitely must-reads. If you like one you'll surely love the other.

They both have to deal with an modeling career. Also they both have a romance with relationship challenges to deal with.
reportRecommended by rueful
Both have a sadist male lead helping the heroine achieves her dreams although in the start it seens like she has no vocation at all.

The manga have similar genres and involves modeling. The female main feels inferior to the male lead so she's scared to confess. However, in the end, the two manages to be together.

The humor is similar and a lot of background characters are charming and endearing. (you will feel sad for them in both get mentally prepared.) These mangas aren't alike in the storyline as much in the characters' personalities and their feelings. Yanagi is calmer and more mature but could easily be a 20 year old Umi (he's also obviously less perverted than him but let's put this aside), while Kujou and Naka are very kind girls who care deeply about their friends. They are both pretty gullible. But the four of them are mostly all confused dorks who don't know how to correctly express their feelings even  read more

Comedy, Romance, Shoujo, Gender bender Both are in the modeling industry The girl works with hot guys idols in the showbiz

They are both in modeling business. While, Nousatsu Junkie is more of a romance, they are both pretty similar in terms of jealousy and in where there is an unexpected underdog.

Both are shoujo, and the main characters are both highly likely to fail in their chosen media profession. In NJ, the main girl wants to model, but she has a scary face, especially when she smiles, so nobody will hire her, and she only gets a modelling job when she accidentally stumbles upon another model's deepest secret. In CS, the main girl had a traumatic experience when she was in a play as a child, and the following humiliation caused her to withdraw from society for 10 years, until she's invited to join a self-paced tuition free school by the principal. Both girls have to  read more

Same author and a thrilling story too! Since nousatsu junkie is finished, you should try reading this manga. I assure you that you will not be disappointed if you've read and loved nousatsu junkie.

They're both about a girl's journey in modeling. In both cases, the girl model and boy model helps each other out, starting with the male helping the girl out due to having more experience. As the story progresses on, the girl helps the guy out. The girl becomes the male's support and saving grace when he forgets how to model (haha shocker.) Girl model also helps the male with his absolute secret that he can't tell the world or else his career is down the drain. They both kinda end the same too. Kinda. So basically, Nousatsu Junkie is the longer version of Film girl and  read more

Boy have reasons to dress as a girl --> falls in love with girl

Naka is beautiful, the only problem is, she's scary. Although she doesn't have attitude problems as much as Maria does, nor is she anti-social. Naka is an aspiring model but maybe she's got no potential since her face is just so scary.
reportRecommended by Samara_Fae
Naka (NJ) and Kyoko (SB) are both scary girls and are into the limelight industry (modeling - NJ and talent - SB). Naka did not really receive much appreciation for her potentials. However, Kyoko, although she appears to really be scary and emits a strong aura when angry, she's well appreciated by the talent she posses like she was born to become an actress herself.

both are about romance and cross dressing boys who become idols

Both are mangas about the modeling world, with the main character striving to be a star. There are always obstacles in their path both romantically and career wise, while gender bending provides some laughs and goodhearted moments.

Cross dressing main characters because of work. Umi of "Nousatsu Junkie" dresses up as a girl while Hime of "Seiyuu Ka" dresses up as boy. Also, both heroine has work issues. Naka is a model with a "criminal face" and can't laugh normally while Hime is a voice actor with a horrid voice not suitable for voicing cute anime girls. Both are very funny and sweet.

The both have similar characters: -a tomboy/awkward main character who gets prettier as the manga develops -cool feminine guy who is the love interest Also, these both are very humorous and have something to do with a specialized skill (piano/modeling). Overall, I think they have a very similar feel and that if you liked one, you'll definitely like the other.

Both the main girls are "scary" and there are handsome guys around her. The humor is a bit more light in Charming Junkie but Wallflower is equally good.

These two manga are probably the most similar out of all the recommendations I've made. First of all, both manga have cross-dressing boys who make beautiful girls and girls who don't find themselves as pretty as they are. There are also a lot of modeling in both. However, Charming Junkie focuses almost completely on modeling, while Jellyfish Princess wanders and included modeling as well as fashion design. The art is really well done in both manga as well. I feel as though Jellyfish Princess also follows the same theme, which implies that everyone can be beautiful no matter what they look like, as Charming Junkie. I'd say  read more
