I’m salty. I truly believed that I would love this manga, but it was just a continuous bundle of disappointment with each chapter due to all of the time-skips and nature of the manga.

“To live to be remembered” — words that pique my and everyone’s interest at one point in time, and it’s honestly a great concept for a manga combined with the whole long-life ordeal, but it was just done in such a half-@ssed manner in comedy, making the story jarring to read.

Time-skips and the brashness of an elf’s lifespan is one thing, but the manga makes all of these moments like a ... simple passage of time, which ruins the whole experience of why the lifespan trope is interesting — the characters, the tears, the emotions, the struggle, etc. All of these moments were minute or just introduced and breezed by for the sake of “progression” and “comedy.”

The characters, like noted before, are incredibly hollow, and there have been some characters added here and there that served no purpose with no natural introduction; they all just appear and disappear on the whims of “it’s been _ years…”

Adding to the pathetic writing, the mc is a dunce. I say this in the most respectable way possible, but his powers are simply ridiculous; everything just comes naturally to him, since he’s reincarnated… blah, blah, blah, you get the gist. There’s no struggle, nothing. All of the moments are similar to what you’d get from a poorly written isekai, op mc manga. Is there a super convenient power that would totally come in handy and solve all of his issues? You already know the mc has it.

Due to some piss poor writing, the prologue and how the story has been set up has completely killed all of my interest in this manga. For what it’s worth, the mc has been too poorly written and fleshed out to challenge the idea of a limited lifespan. Could you see taste the salt from my review?
