This manga is the perfect example of the problem with authors going for a genre that is overly popular and has had a massive influx in releases in a short amount of time for that easy bag- just to fail horribly.
This is part of the "so quirky and different teehee but adult!!" Mahou Shoujo subgenre. Well, it is a wannabe copy of a shitty one... I think? There is many great ones with different approaches (e.g. being overly violent and gory). This one is nothing. no real romance. The characters are flat and annoying. The "adult" content is forced and cringe.
Now, let's talk about the characters. Everyone in this manga sucks (well, MC not as much). They are absolutely terrible beings that are terrible to everyone around them, selfish in nature and give 0 fucks to anyone's wellbeing/opinion/rights. That is EVERY character. These are NOT the main traits of them all. It is NOT some ballbusting revenge fulfillment manga. That is why they suck.
The Wife completely neglects her husband's feelings. Any attempt at anything is shot down instantly, wow! so funny. Everyone is allowed to see her in the skimpy magical dress.. everyone but her husband! LOL! I died laughing. When she is fetishized by another man? When she indulges it randomly? When she goes along with really hurtful NTRbait jokes? HA HA HA! I legit ROFL'd so hard /s.
The NTRbaiter that completely ignores a marriage, literally shoving a "fuck you!" into the husband's face without any repercussion by the wife? Genius Comedy Gold.
MC is a dreadful character at times but there is actual growth that can be followed real time and ends up being pretty enjoyable. Are peeps still treating him like a punchingbag, abusing him for "gags" and make a fool of him multiple times? Yeah. But he, sadly, is the only character that actually develops and isn't just a hurtful, one dimensional prick.
As for the romance- you "aww, so cute!" at him being allowed to touch her clothed shoulder after having her treat him like a stranger for 10 panels (NOT ACTUAL SPOILER, EXAGGERATED TO GET POINT ACROSS). This is how we get to that singular "sweet" moment every. single. time.
Finally, the "adult" content. It was shoved in as an afterthought. I know it, you will know it if you read and the author knows it. It is not even about the TL making it hard to understand/not come across properly or anything like that. It just is out of place and, again, not used in the comedy or romance or to progress characters. It just floats around somewhere and comes up every now and then in that out of place serious manner.
This is a deserved 3/10. There is no story, everything content-wise sucks and it clearly was created to pander to a certain demographic but in the most lazy and halfassed way possible. Lame.
